How'd you not win the fact that the romantic sub-plot didn't try to overtake the movie or wasn't focused on too much? So many films try to 'balance' romance and action but fail miserably! I think it was a nice change to not see 'boy and girl MUST be together just cuz'
This was literally just that though, boy and girl must together just cause. There is almost no story behind it, no reasoning. I mean Thomas only really remembers here for like 2 days before they get out of the maze and split, to run trough the desert, which actually gives almost no opertunity to bond, he just bonds with brenda. To then get betrayed.
Where is the opertunity to fall in love.
Theresa clearly remembers everything, at least loving thomas. But thomas literally doesn't. So there was no point to that relationship when multiple different relationships where way more believable and logical.
My ship be Thomas and Brenda 🎉. Author confirmed they started a relationship after the events of this movie. More believable to me than Thomas and Teresa; It was still subtle in comparison to the larger picture too

I actually rented the Death Cure from the library the first time I read it, and Page 250 was actually torn out. I re-read it roughly 2 years ago, with page 250, and immediately got depressed xD
They wanted to save your soul cause we couldn't save Newts... That's why they tore the page out.
I read your comment and thought you said you rented a audiobook and the page was torn out. Like wtf 😂

Destroyer Wolf I think there’s something in about millennials but I’ll choose to ignore it
why is this the funniest thing i’ve ever read
Newt sweetie, You deserved better. It's an emotional ending. Thomas Brodie-Sangster deserved the gold star.

This, ... this is the consequence of an anti-vaxxer future. Let it be known.
Lol
Healing GK I’m gonna go cry again 😂
His death hits harder in the movie than in the book. That’s good acting.
Yeah I watched the movie and then read the book for this one and i have to say i cried when Newt died while watching the movie and I have to compliment his acting, this is a rare moment where I prefer the movie instead of the books
Edit: y'all i was making a joke, we don't need to have a full on debate
in the book Newt "stabbed" thomas with the same knife that Newt was killed with. Thomas's blood was on the knife, Thomas's blood is the cure......Newt is fine
Maya Grace exactly my thought
Yh but the whole city was destroyed so even if he was cured he wouldve been killed in the destruction. If there was another film coming out i would believe they would bring newt back for this reason but sadly thats the end 💔
Newt could be cured but he already dies cause thomas stabs him
technically in the books Thomas shoots him with a gun
@@h0tcoco yea thats true but in the movie version Newt stabs Thomas first and then Thomas stabs Newt agian so what happend to the book version
Thomas Brodie-Sangster played that part so well, I was balling when Newt died
Weren’t we all ? Bahaha
It would've been funnier if the win counter stopped at 250
why did you have to do that fuck you

@Ravioli714 oof
@Ravioli714 no its not . newts alive
I bawled my eyes out thanks to Thomas Brodie-Sangster's performance. Newt is a character I love so much, and the books didn't do his death justice, so I was hald excited half scared of what the films would do with it. I was definitely not disappointed, he deserves all the credit!
his death in the movie was almost infuriatingly pointless
@@wurzel9671 I suppose... But in my mind, it's more of a 'rude awakening' for him once Teresa says he could have saved him. He goes to her side to save people who had his experience. It was also a extremely emotional scene for Thomas and Newt alike. Newt wants Thomas to kill him to save Thomas (And, presumably, the pain), but Thomas is still holding onto his 'save everyone' idea, and he can't bring himself to kill someone who he tried to save moments ago.
Same
I cried too.
@Sarah Egholm
Same. Thomas Sangster is such a great actor! I hate that he's always getting killed in movies/tv shows. His death scenes are sooo emotional :"c ♡♡♡

This movie series would’ve been so much more if they decided to use the book cranks. People who will kill but have lost themselves. Such as the two people fighting over a dead rat, or the guy singing at the top of his lungs in the Kill Order book. Zombie cranks just never grew onto me.
I agree! I was so mad that they took the "Hello Noses" guy from TST and mashed him together with Lawrence in TDC. Honestly, the Nose Guy from TST was one of the most terrifying parts of that book.
@@MariahD1994 YES EXACTLY! the bit where he said "Hello Noses" in the book actually scared me so much 😂 I loved the cranks in the book because they seemed so scarily insane compared to being just straight up zombies, that to me seemed more frightening than the film cranks and I would have loved to have seen them portrayed like that in the films
@@jojospacegirl Yes! The deterioration of the mind into absolute insanity is a lot scarier than a zombie. And a lot more realistic.
I was so mad when I watched Scorch Trials for the first time and suddenly zombies everywhere in the dark! tbhI liked the 'Noses took my roses took my noses' addition in the third movie. It's like they knew we hated hello noses was gone and added it for a nice touch. Think this movie (mostly for the inclusion of that line) had the cranks closer to how they should have been, but ya know zombies are more cinematic and all that (eye roll)

"You can't really blame Theresa..." yes. Yes we can. Very easily.
Joss Town ever since reading her betrayal in Scorch Trials, I have never forgiven her and will never forgive her. I just wish she didn’t get the satisfaction of the kiss at the end there, but oh well
She killed Newt. Yes we can.
I don't. I think she was right. If they had managed to capture Thomas too it would all be over.
I honestly blame her for the death of Newt. He would have never been affected if she didn’t betray the group and even if he did he wouldn’t have died so tragically
@@Cadence0727 That's dumb. It was Thomas' fault for not turning himself in. His blood had obviously cured Brenda and he was like "Cool". All this death caused by the conflict with Wicked and he didn't think of sacrificing himself(which apparently wasn't even necessary) to save the rest of his friends and possdibly the thousands of other teens that were basically tortured. I don't blame him exactly considering how shady the organisaton was but that would be ultimately the best solution. Which he did of course but when it was too late.

I loved the ending when you praised Wes Ball and all of the actors and characters. I remember so many people (when this movie first came out) kept saying how bad it was with little to no respect towards how hard the actors and crew all worked, and with little respect as to why Wes Ball actually changed things around from the book. But now people really seem to understand and praise the movie, actors and crew a lot more and that really makes me happy. I knew that the last movie wouldn’t follow the book, and I am actually glad that they didn’t. It wouldn’t have as much of an emotional impact as this movie did. They really made up for the first two movies in my opinion, and while the movie was long, I still enjoyed it nonetheless. So thanks Wes Ball, the cast and crew for an amazing ending to an amazing series and thanks for 5 amazing years of TMR!! ❤️
PS- LOVE that you gave a Gold Star to Thomas Brodie-Sangster. He is an amazing actor whose work seems to go unnoticed by many people, so to see people like you praising his work really means the world to me.
JackieR 30 this (death cure) is one of the few instances where I'm actually glad that the movie did not follow the book...normally I'd be pissed at this but thus time the Book.Actually. Sucked. Movie was bomb compared to it

Yep, such a great movie, even my dad like it, and Aidan Gillen is a top class actor, amazing performance
I can't believe I've never noticed this but at 10:36 Newt is only walking on his good leg, a callback to his limp in the books.
Yes I am going to be a sterotype and say that Thomas Brodie Sangster is freaking amazing. I love him so much and his portray of Newt durring his turning into a crank was just amazing. The way he made it really come across that the humanity left inside of him was fighting so hard to keep from harming Thomas, its just amazing. I love him and the movies.

Even when he's newly infected you can tell when he messes with his hand before his argument with Thomas. Just a little clue I saw while watching the movie for the first

Spongey444 Phineas and Ferb ftw! Why did you remove it, Netflix?
The Maze Runner was absolutely amazing! I loved the books so much and they made the movies very well. The actors also did a very good job in the three movies.
Well, there are a lot of things in the Movies, that conflict with events in the books, but despite that, the Movies are still frickin awesome. I just hope they’ll release a Movie about Killorder.
Also the fact that Newt hated WCKD so much but he still died in WCKD’s walls, in a WCKD suit, with a WCKD knife was so heart wrenching. He hated them for taking away his family, is life, his friends but he metaphorically died in WCKED’s hands.
Another tragic thing was that he never realized that Sonya(Lizzy) was actually his sister, the person he loved the most in the world. In the Fever Code they talk about how much she means to him, after their parents were killed Lizzy was all he had left of his past and home, so he wasn’t willing to lose her. But he still did.
Last thing, I promise. This ones more complaining. Gally was able to survive a spear to the chest but Newt could survive a knife to the chest, yes I’m aware of him also dying from the flare and that he took took a knife instead of a spear and blah blah blah, but I just feel like no matter what excuse people come up with for why Newt died but Gally didn’t I still think it’s a stretch. I’m not saying that Newt 100% should have survived a knife to the chest(I do wish he didn’t die though) I’m just saying that if they went with that logic, then Gally shouldn’t be alive either. Ok I’m done, love the books and movies, Newt should have lived and now I’m going to go die with my feeling.
Yes! I can't be the only one who loves the maze runner trilogy?

Actually they did take his blood after the Maze, it was his experience in the Scorch that made his blood develop the cure.
And where newt was infected that's the same spot where the doctor person shot him with that needle in the second movie

What a trilogy!! The books are great!! The movies are great on their own!!
yeah they changed a lot from the source material... but really name a adaptation that doesn't!! It was a beautiful ending to an amazing trilogy!!
The action was amazing, the acting was fairly on-point, soundtrack is brilliant, and for the curse of "the third of a trilogy is the worst" this one was pretty decent.
I love Dylan O'Brian and have so much respect for him, for that even after his accident he came back and STILL did his own stunts!!
Harry Potter
Dabbing Pickle With Fidget Spinners not exactly. For example Dobby wasn't in the fourth film when he appeared in the fourth book, for example. Still great movies but they weren't 100% accurate to the books. Which I'm fine with for the most part.
not all of them, and mainly they did cause JK Rowling worked very closely on the movies.. not many authors do that
The shining was very close to the book.
they changed the ending
In my opinion better then hunger games. At least they didn't split the last book into two parts. The ending of the movie is one of my favourites of all time.

I read the books when I was a teenager and saw all the movies in the theater. While they're very different I really enjoyed the movies, especially Thomas Brodie Sangster as Newt, and seeing them in theater is an experience, the sound effects and visuals are just done so ridiculously well that it's completely immersive. Not to mention the fact that the ending was sooooo much more satisfying which makes me really happy.
As a book fan who always finds the books to be better than the movies, I can honestly say this final movie was better than the book. Gally's redemption was an amazingly executed redemption. Unfortunate they deleted the scene where he brings up everytime he sleeps, he sees Chuck's face to Thomas & Newt. It is still a strong redemption though

I watched it with my friend and while I was sobbing at Newts death/letter as well as the whole “So here’s the ones who couldn’t be here. Here’s to the friends we’ve lost,” line (Literally whenever I watch that scene I will guaranteed cry) she was sitting there dead faced but depressed.
The three Maze Runner movies are my favorite movies of all time😊

it's been about 6 hours since I finished the film and I'm still crying bc of newt, I literally feel so broken..
You’re crazy if you think I wasn’t sobbing hysterically when Newt died. I had to muffle my cries. I related to Newt, he was my favorite character and I felt as he was my friend, in a way. Watching him die, close up, real life, was gut wrenching.
This video really CURED me of boredom!
I’ll see myself out
I think what I liked most about this movie is how we usually have the girl dying in the boys arms, while he holds her and cries, and this movie just reversed it. Thomas was the one dying, Teresa held him. I don’t know why, I just really liked that.
Also, I can=t believe you didn’t win the Maze-Mirror is what I guess was Avas office!
11:17 I’m not crying, you’re crying.
I just love how gally is the one to carve chucks name into the stone... im not crying you are...
Such good acting on Thomas' part. Switching in and out of being a crank was extremely impressive.
Please do Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
The death cure is my favorite movie and book in the series
the scene where Theresa spots Thomas on the other side of the road........ i loved that scene so much. it was so heartbreaking and romantic and exciting. and i'm sorry but Thomas looked damn good in that hoodie! ;)
