Hey Pat, If you get to read this please know that I have much respect for your work ethics and amazing content. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring me everyday. Much Love from Rwanda!
People frown upon algorithms (to put it mildly), but this video, made more than three years ago, pops on my UA-cam homepage exactly when I'm stuck in the middle of making my first documentary film. And reminds me of all the important details about storytelling. Thank you, Patrick, for this great content!
We communicate through stories, this is why technical manuals generally aren't very popular, but if you can take the information and put it into a story, then people will pay more attention and retain the information better. They remember the story. This really applies to any aspect of communication.
I totally forgot about how important this is, I mean story telling, too much care about sales numbers, relationship with customers and my staff as well. Telling story with passion is most effective and important. Thank you for reminds me that, again.
*Taking to people when I was a waiter at my first restaurant job and my short obsession with stand up comedy are pretty much the only reasons I have the communication skills needed to keep my current amazing job!*

"It was All A Dream..:" I had goosebumps hearing Pat reciting BIG's "Juicy". It's one of the few rap songs I know by heart because it's so visual and has the universal story of "making it"!! Pat picked the right one. Part of what makes rappers like BIG and Eminem legends are their outstanding ability of storytelling and the way of delivering it (flow). You have to be biased to not mention them next to great writers and poets. Thanks Pat for your broad view on this topic!
After I watched the interview you did with comedian Kevin Hart, I wanted to see you making a video about story telling, now you here and you delivered to its fullest, Patric you are the man 👊
My father and I used to ride the train in NYC together when I was kid. We lived in Brooklyn and times were tough then, so we'd pass time on the train with him telling me stories. Occasionally he'd jokingly back hand me on my shoulder in the middle of a sentence as he talking. I'd ask what was that for? he said to keep you sharp. I never got it, till I was much older, and I people complemented me on my abilities to listen, nod, seem inquisitive. But sometimes, I'm just waiting for that slap to come the entire time, so my focus on them intensely. Men should always wear vest with their suit. Patrick is looking sharp!
One of skills that I’m working on is to tell stories for my public speaking. Thanks you so much Pat for this video. It is truly a blessing added to my knowledge.

Once upon a time, a North American English Teacher who lived in South America, Chile, passed by on Valutainment UA-cam Channel to discover how to utilize valuable elements to create an astute story. Hence, after he watched the whole video, he learned how to create cogent stories by utilizing more details in his stories to captivate the audiences by making them feel they are in that same time frame. He was so grateful for the Valutainment; How To Master The Art of Storytelling video that he put a "Like and comment" on their video. The end.
Have no words for your kindness to share this all knowledge patrick . I am so grateful . Thank you so much for this video. Last 3 weeks I was trying to buy book on story telling and here you uploaded the video. It's really amazing..
My old boss had doubts about me and we sat in his office. He needed to meet a monthly deadline and I told him without an ounce of doubt "if you let me work the list of leads we will me our goal." He let me work the leads and we met our goal. Don't let others doubt become your own.
Okay, I have to finally ask, after watching and enjoying so many of your videos, who has such nice hand writing on the boards all the time? Is it you Patrick?
Take Solomon, biblically he was the wisest man to ever live, he wrote the Song of Solomon, a story of the love between a espoused couple to teach us so much more. The Lord taught in parables (same stories of earthly things) to help us understand spiritual things. There is untold power in a story.
