Wow magical tips for new speaker :
- find your own voice
- it feels like you're the only one in the room " just you and i "
- good at telling story
- make your case "state your facts, make your argument, why they should join you "
- add quotes
- connect with the audiences
- preparation
- find your outcome from the whole speech " sign up, subscribe, move, become someone better...."
- find your audience
- put your action list " i want you to do this and that...."
- meet and greet your audience after
- thank and mention the people and organization for this speech or course .....
- disturbing people and make them move
- challenge them
- rehearse before your speech
- managing time ? where to say this and this ...."

I have a few good speakers but for different reasons. One guy that wasn’t in the list of speakers I have 2. I really like Jordan Peterson as a technical speaker because he’s able to debate and out smart his opponent with pure excellence. He has amazing arguments in his political debates but when he’s giving a lecture he is so inspirational and almost as if you can feel he really wants the best for you as an individual. He’s a great story teller and also so powerful when he delivers his message. 12 rules for life for example (his book). The other great speaker is Tony Robins. Amazing and speaks with such conviction. Also very inspirational and has a unique view on everything he talks about. No matter how many people touch the same subject, Tony Robins has a brilliant and unique way of convincing you and motivating, inspiring you. But I have to say, Patrick is an awesome speaker. He has an in depth way of explaining and coaching, guiding you in your ways of acting, thinking and looking at different subjects around being an entrepreneur. Patrick also has a locker room, story telling and coaching style but the main reason I love Patrick when he speaks is his quotes and insights on other great minds. He managed to incorporate other brilliant minds within his entire overall point he’s trying to deliver to you. He has a great way of breaking things down which many people can’t do. He has a neutral approach where everyone else has a personal opinion type, point to make. No one comes across like Patrick bet David

I never thought of public speaking this way. My favorite speakers from who you mentioned are 1- Tony Robbins. This man changed my life...I own an amazing business because his words made me believe I can. Barrack Obama...totally amazing speaker. I will never get tired of hearing him speak. But another amazing speaker not mentioned is Les Brown...He will make you make changes in you life that you never imagined possible.

I wonder if he’s going to see this and comment, given the video is four years old. What I find funny is that before I watched this video I had inherently already started doing a lot of the things that you had recommended because to me it was just like oh I want to be a public speaker this is what I need to do and I started researching immediately… I’m also a social work student I’m almost at my degree and I have like 14 years of sales behind me I’m quite skilled at it. However, I haven’t worked in sales for like a year just because as I work through my social work degree I found there was an ethical imbalance between what I was being asked to sell and what I perceived people needing. I finally realized that public speaking is my purpose, it’s my calling, it’s how I can make the most amount of change and help the most people. Personal irrelevant introduction aside, what do you think of Toastmasters and the national speakers association?
