@@marys3127 on an episode of the TV show RSPCA some years ago, they had a dog that failed all their adoption standards, being much like Hank in behaviours. They sent him to border patrol to become a sniffer dog & updated on his progress 6 months later, where he was a happy, well adapted dog that spent all day everyday working with his handler. There's different types of service dogs, if Hank has a good sense of smell, he would likely be perfect for any sniffer dog position. Those people actually look for dogs like Hank, dogs that will go, go, go all day
I have 3 rescues. I experience all of that and more! I love them all equally and I’m glad they’re in my life and getting to look after them is my honour.
that's the whole point of a foster home for a dog - it's to make sure they're ready to live in a house, have interacted with other people and animals, and have some basic training. it's much easier to find forever homes for dogs with those skills! if these people are happy with the number of dogs they already own, and don't want another dog long term, it would be wrong for them to keep him
You won't be able to help very many animals if you keep them all. The whole point is help them find their perfect home, so you have time and space to help other animals in need. You're just saving them, loving them, and preparing them for the best home for THAT particular animal.
What a sweet boy .. but why limit his possibilities to find a fantastic home outside of Texas? There might be a Coloradan outdoorsman or New Yorker marathon runner who would be perfect for this young pup. Thanks for fostering him. 💞💞
Yeah because let's be honest, the dog is really not going to care about what state he's in. All that'll matter him is that he has a adventurous and loving family. It's the people who are being picky about his adopters only being able to come from Texas.
I totally agree! Especially in a state like Texas where there are more dogs in shelters than any other state. Many other states could provide a faster home for him.
Hank really loves you. I’m a foster fail. I couldn’t let go. I love my girl. And not many people can handle a small clumsy horse dog. She is massive. And not many people would be okay with having a toe nail slash across their face because she just wanted to give a smooch. She is LITERALLY a full time job.
Everything else noted, looking at his behaviour, he seems like a genius in the dog world. It's quite brilliant the way he is showing his needs, emotions, personality in unique ways.
Hank has husky genes in him. Que the blue eyes, the weirdness and the endless energy. Good luck to the adoptive family!

BEST FOSTER post EVER!! Hank is a great pup& YOU are a wonderful foster TY TY TY for all you do!
Aw!! I was hoping she added at the end that Hank was actually not available for adoption. Hank is very energetic and I love his eyes and his personality. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky. ♥️🤗🐾

Hi 👋
He looks and acts just like my boy Boomer. Adopted him 4 months ago. Best decision we ever made. Wild energy, super loyal, incredibly smart, great friend! ❤❤❤❤ I hope he gets a forever home soon with people who understand him.
Aww he's a energetic, gorgeous boy, hope he finds a good forever home soon, great video thanks 💖😁

Hi Janet
@@petlovers3679 hello 👋
@@janetdear6429 I am good
And you ??
@@petlovers3679 a bit tired, late shift at work, last night and I am in early again today
@@janetdear6429 oh really sound tired 💤 which I can help you out
What’s your occupation??
Oh Hank, you are amazing, I myself live in Australia but if I lived in Texas, I would pick you up yesterday! Anyone that’s seen this video, you must adopt him immediately! He’s one of a kind! What a dog!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
this is great! it is so important that pet and family are a great match in all ways, especially if it is a high energy animal.
This is the best adoption ad for Hank!!! I hope someone sees this and brings him home!!
Hope we get to see his lucky care givers for life on here soon.
Praying Hank will find his perfect home, one that is high energy and fun loving!
Honesty, is the best policy. Hank deserves the best Texas home, God bless him and his new forever family. Such a lucky family, who ever gets to forever him. Love you Hank, you beautiful spirit.
He's perfect.
So much ENERGY I can’t believe it, imagine seeing a person drink 100 cups of coffee and then the person crawls on the ground and barks
Happy with his mom....the beautiful eye's....
This just might be my most-favorite video on The Dodo yet!! How incredibly pure and adorable and refreshing! This foster mama NAILED it on every aspect! Hank should be a movie dog and she should narrate his life adventures! She gets him so well! Gosh I wish I lived on a random farm so I could snatch this pup. But I am confident whoever gets him will have happiness every single day. *Please update us on this one!*
I would have loved having Hank, about 35 years ago when I could keep up with him. He is about as energetic as my Lab was. That dog didn't settle down until he was around 15. He lived to 17.
Animals are the best thing God gave us ❤️
Besides our children, they are our fur babies
Look ♫ Look ♫ Look ♫ 😊 ✨ ✨
May the ducks heal you 🦆💕
My wife and I foster for a sighthound rescue in the UK, and we are so glad we have never had a Hank - he would be a keeper, no doubt! I'm listening to The Bird is The Word by The Ruffled Feathers whilst typing this, because it(and he) is BONKERS! It fits Hank, and I'll forever think of him when I hear it!. Much Respect.
What a gorgeous boy. I hope we hear about his forever home. You can upload a weekly video and call it the adventures of Hank 😂🤣😂🤣 Gied Bless you for fostering him 😍
Bring him best about the dog shows that he'll be in a good home! Thank you for taking the time to notice his specific attributes!
If ever a dog needed a job, it's Hank. He'd be perfect as a service dog of some kind.
Lone Star Hank is a Texas state canine ambassador.
I train and raise service dogs….Hank would fail immediately. His energy is off the charts and not controlled. 🤣🤣🤣. But he is PERFECT for someone. Gorgeous doggie.
@@marys3127 I was thinking the same thing! No way with all that energy.😆 but he would be an unforgettable candidate that's for sure❤️
Aww my God she's so cute I cant-
This makes me sad. He seems pretty happy and adjusted where he is. Especially with the training they've done.
I bet they kept him
I hope they kept him.
that's the whole point of a foster home for a dog - it's to make sure they're ready to live in a house, have interacted with other people and animals, and have some basic training. it's much easier to find forever homes for dogs with those skills! if these people are happy with the number of dogs they already own, and don't want another dog long term, it would be wrong for them to keep him
You won't be able to help very many animals if you keep them all. The whole point is help them find their perfect home, so you have time and space to help other animals in need. You're just saving them, loving them, and preparing them for the best home for THAT particular animal.
He just has alot of joy. And he cant hide it😂😂😂😂❤
What a sweet boy .. but why limit his possibilities to find a fantastic home outside of Texas? There might be a Coloradan outdoorsman or New Yorker marathon runner who would be perfect for this young pup. Thanks for fostering him. 💞💞
I think it might be to stay close in case it doesn't work out with his next home?
Yeah because let's be honest, the dog is really not going to care about what state he's in. All that'll matter him is that he has a adventurous and loving family. It's the people who are being picky about his adopters only being able to come from Texas.
I totally agree! Especially in a state like Texas where there are more dogs in shelters than any other state. Many other states could provide a faster home for him.
Thank you, Linda! I agree, but unfortunately the shelter he's with has asked for Texas-area only.
Probably no other state is big enough for him to run around in! LOL
