I love animals but I’m someone who never thought I would have any bully breed. I now have FOUR, all foster-failures. Most misunderstood dogs on the planet. Incredibly gentle loving loyal cuddly dogs.

His spirit was broken. Dogs in shelters are like people in prison. Glad he was rescued and has a happy life now ❤❤

nobody sent anything. and with that power the sickness need not have even happen... why "send" a dog. Why do all the other dogs get killed in the shelters....? Certainly there are plenty of needy, loving, sick people that would love a beautiful animal... tell that thing to send some.???? It just happened.

Dexter is the definition of Pitbull. They are amazing, loving, loyal, and caring dogs. Unfortunately, bad people exploit this, for disturbing reasons, and the blame, unjustly goes to the dog.

My neighbour has a bully breed and I get the best hugs from him. He knows my car and will sit and stare at it until get out and we have our snuggles. He is one of the sweetest boys I have ever met ❤
Dexter is just divine. What a gorgeous boy inside and out ....he found the most wonderful paw-rents too 🐾💛💛💛..... Sadly, attitudes and comments like that from the passing woman, contribute to the needless killing of these beautiful souls 😢

He is such a beautiful doggy! Thank God such a kind soul was not put to sleep. So glad you took him into your home and heart. I fully agree with the mental health with an illness. I was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and when I had to just lay around and rest my lab/pit mix was right by my side. I wish you the best of luck with your health and your doggie.

Thanks for saving this guy. I think the pities r the sweetest breed ever. I adopted one several years back who had been in an outdoor run for eight years at a rescue. Me and him both were getting up there in years and all he wanted to do was go for car rides all the time. We’d also go get frozen yogurt of his favorite things to do. Unfortunately, I only had him for a year and a half, because he came down with a rare disease and died shortly thereafter. I hope I gave him at least a year & a half of love & happiness. I wish more people would adopt this breed.

Thanks so much for rescuing this beautiful Pitbull. I have never had a bully breed, but I have seen a lot of videos on them. I wish all people who are afraid of them would see these videos. They are wonderful, loving dogs. It's people that make them vicious, and even those pitbulls can be trained out of it with lots of love and training. Dexter is charming.
Unfortunately, seeing the videos of all the amazing bully pups won't be enough to change some people's minds. They will still claim they will all rip someone's face off. Research shows other breeds are more prone to bite. The reason it's underreported is due to less damage.

We have 4 Pitt Huskies, one tiny 5lb Yorkie and one German Shepard. They are all sweet and loving and protective. That being said, If all of them were protecting something and I walked up on them my German Shepherd is who I'd be most afraid of. You give a Pitt one treat and a pet on the head and you've got a friend for life. Pitts get a seriously bad wrap.

I love Mark‘s little smile when Dexter put his face on Mark’s ear when they’re in bed. I can almost feel my childhood dog doing that to me. The three of them look like a happy family.

I have a pit mix. I live in Mississippi. My dog brings me things too. She woos. She knows me. Better than any dog I’ve ever had. I’m so thankful you saved him. Bella was the last pup of a lab pit mix litter out in the country. She was headed to the pound and I took her home. She wanted to come with me. She followed me around the yard for 15 minutes while I was deciding if I wanted to take her. You’re right about our shelters. We have a great guy at ours. He works with rescue shelters up north. He tries so hard to save them all. Bella is beautiful thus the name.

Dexter is an amazing dog , thanks to everyone involved in saving this precious boy and he now has amazing owners. I have systemic lupus too please ask them to check you for Anti phospholipid syndrome. It causes blood clots and when you have Lupus you can also have anti P. S. you will need to take anticoagulants to prevent further blood clots. Usually only discovered after you have had a P.E. , heart attack etc., cause through a blood clot. Wishing you all a blessed life together

I adopted a 7 year old, tan & white, Pity just over 1 year ago, and he has changed my life like your wonderful boy has changed yours. Dexter is a lovely looking dog such a deep bronze colour and in his eyes you can see he is calm and gentle what a lovely companion to have I wish you well with your health issues I’m sure with your partner and Dexter you will battle through 😊
They are so strong and are sometimes people are scared of them, but if trained properly and treated well they can be awesome pets for families.
