- Our first-time reaction to Schism, Parabol and Parabola from the Lateralus album performed live by Tool (Madison Square Garden 2024 & Tauron Arena Kraków, Poland 2019).
This is our first time watching and listening to these performances. We are re-experiencing classic rock music, an album at a time, with fresh perspectives and active ears, so that Dev can learn and appreciate this music more, and so that Mike can relive his childhood.

Seen them live in November and justin is the mkst energetic bass player ever the guy really gets into it. Im gonna see them again as soon as they release a touring schedule.
You should react to the salival third eye video
Yes! Highly, highly recommend!!!
Yep!
The seven pointed star is seen a lot in sacred geometry. Adam created the open seven pointed star for the Tool fan base to signify an invitation to the collective unconscious.
Well most of their time signatures on the most recent album fear inoculum is 7/4 or 7/8 and it has 7 songs. And Danny loves geometric patterns and plays them on drums. So the 7eptogram is their signature logo lol
This just added to my Sunday chill day, thanks guys, cool reactions and comments.
🤘🏻🌀
Thanks Mike and Dev. I've always thought that the person with the camera should be a drummer. Danny was drumming and they focus on the bass player. 😂
✌️
it's a heptagram. But yeah they use that alot. The open heptagram (that's in my profile picture) is the logo for the "tool army"
Concerning Maynard's stage position: I saw this comment on another Tool reaction and thought it described it better than I could at the moment...LOL

You’re used to singers being forward in the mix. We’ve been there. Tool mixes the vocals as an equal instrument. A part of the band. Only forward when the song demands it-the music isn’t a separate element. Even when they play live Maynard, the singer, is staged in the back on a platform near the drummer (GOAT). Bass and guitar are staged in the front.
Maynard is not shy, nor does he have stage fright...His position is very intentional and directly related to the above!
Just a note, the audience is typically allowed to record the last song of the concert, otherwise it's a NO cell phone/recording policy!
Tool life is an experience, these guys take you on a trip without using drugs. Not easy to find these days. They are in a class of their own.
The heptagram the most positive geometric shape
Stage position is for sound only not because he’s shy
You two really need to hear them live at the 1998 Kalamazoo concert, it’s great quality and I added time stamps. It’s one of my favorite shows because Maynard and the guys are at 100%. No video just audio. ua-cam.com/video/Vwf6zFTT2FY/v-deo.htmlsi=3zaVMQmEWabnEsem
Maynard is far from shy
Maynard the lead singer used to be out front when he sung early in the band, but he said he decided to sing off to the side next to the drummer because the sound to him was off. It's not really because he is shy, it's just sound quality.
Maynard’s not Diana Ross and they are not the Supremes.
@andyb7638 I would think not, but I've seen Maynard singing in a woman's gown on stage so I would certainly think he's not shy.
He sings from the back sides of the stage now on risers. I just seen them in November it was amazing i was sitting almost front row.
@youtubebannedme4207 that's cool, I had seen them in 2012 but nowhere as close as you were.
Danny Carey is 62, Maynard is 60
