Really great video I learned a lot I didn't know if you could texas rig like that or not but I see it's very possible to do and it looks like it works out great I will try it definitely. I am subscribed have been and enjoy your channel. Thanks
Good video. Have never thought of rigging the Finesse TRD Texas Rigged. Why not just use the Finesse Bulletz for weedless TRD's? I tried them this past weekend on my TRD's and they seem to work well holding the bait in place BUT, the hook wouldn't stay buried in the TRD at all when I skin hooked it! When I did bury it so it would stay in, I had to bury it deep and I lost a couple of fish because of burying the point so deep. I'm going to try your idea. One last thing, how do I keep the finesse TRD's from bending in their packaging? It's hard to rig the bait straight when it comes out of the package crooked! Any tips for keeping TRD's straight would be greatly appreciated!
I tried it this past weekend with my TRD's and here is my review. The hook is a size 1 to start. That may be a little small for some people (1/10 ounce Bulletz). The keeper is the best part. It holds the TRD in place without the need for glue. Now the worst part. I COULD NOT keep the hook point skin hooked. Almost every cast came back with the hook point out. This makes the Finesse Bulletz basically worthless! JMHO
Have you had any success with the single wire weed guard Ned heads? They seem suspect to me. My guess is they are the WORST of both worlds; reducing hookup percentage while not being adequately weedless.

I used one yesterday and it was terrible. The wire caught everything.
