    Very helpful! Great that he didn't have any music that distracts. He explained well the process without any extra info. Thank you so much. You are a blessing.

      Thanks! The live edge boards come from a local saw mill. Little McCloud flare

    Nice. Being able to nail the stone pieces in place will be very convenient if you ever have to replace one vs trying to match the grout color years later.

      Ya I really loved the product. It looks like real stone and is really easy to work with.

    I just finished a fireplace . Not quite as big but close . Yours looks great . I’ve learned a few lessons . Paint the surface black . Buy the corners ….so much easier . Don’t get creative…follow.the pattern ….The set pattern unless you have a million extra hours . Wears dusk mask …cut outside if house is unfinished . Use a level .
    Did you use fire rated blocks ?

      All great lessons I learned as I progressed. I love working with the stuff. I did use fire rated bricks as I just felt it a safer route to go. Congratulations on your project

      @@RedemptionRoad thanks…..the fire rated has a code distance for how close it can be to heat source….havent quite found a straight answer on that yet . I have seen guys use a heat shield behind the stove though .

      @@RedemptionRoad cool…so I’m assuming no melting issues . I might have get some fire rated for the actual stone surrounding the fireplace . Anyway …nice job…looks great ! At the top of mine I used the ledge stones …kind of gave it a nice finished look .

    It looks really good. May I ask how much the stone per case?

    • @RedemptionRoad
      @RedemptionRoad  6 місяців тому +1

      I paid $214 per box, which covers 14.75 sq ft. I used a total of 10 boxes for the fireplace

      @RedemptionRoad cheaper than the real thing.

      @@NotTelling51 way cheaper and a lot less weight on the floor.
