So is this like textured cement board? Curious on what the material makeup is, however the ability to just nail it in is game changing from the ease of use perspective.
Really?! I just listened through the whole thing and it was coming through the whole time. What where you listening with? Its not coming in at all on the left side? I'm trying different upload formats so I apologies if there was sound issues but thanks so much for letting me know.
@@BYOTools No problem at all quality-wise, the quality is fantastic. Both audio and video. But yes, I'm using Pioneer overear headphones and it seems to me that the "live voice" (e.g. 0:47 - 1:53 on the current upload) is outputted only on the left audio channel (while other parts of the video and voiceovers are completely fine). I think it's just a little malfunction in the recording or maybe the right channel has been muted during the editing process, but they're just suppositions. I use this comment also to greet you for the wonderful contents you bring and to thank you for the super useful tricks you teach us on each upload!
Agreed same issue using a different brand of Bluetooth. Voiceover is perfect. Live talking is L channel only. Music playing during live speak is in stereo though.
Guilty, only had right ear buds on. I was wondering why audio was intermittent. I was driving and didn't want to have both earbuds on. Whatever audio I did manage to listen to was excellent and easy to follow-up from missing/left audio.👍🏼👂
Great vid 👍 IBS🤣 I am liking this product, but not sure I agree totally about the colour being all the way through even with the clear coat, still looks lighter in some of your cuts. I would be looing to use this outdoors to cover some concrete areas for the garage below our bricks. Cheers
Thanks so much Patrick and I understand your thought process. The. color is all the way through but the clear coat needed to be applied a couple times in some areas so that might have been the issue.
Did not see that coming. Interesting product. I like it. Question… Why not use the 24 gauge brads to install as well? Would have nade the nail holes much less visible. If due to concerns about holding up a bead of adhesive wiuld have aolved that.
The manufacturer tells u to install with 16ga......18 ga would probabley b sufficient for indoor applications. 23ga would just fall off if u bump into it lol all they do is lightly hold it together until glue sets really
That is a beautiful and innovative product! I wish they had more colors and styles available, as I'm a couple weeks out from pulling the trigger on a huge project, but I've already bookmarked their website for future ideas! Thanks so much for another awesome video! That space looks incredible!
Curious to see more of this product. Maybe as an exterior piece on a retaining wall. Is it more economical to put up cinder blocks and put these over it rather than buying stones that are heavy and pricey.
Depends on the type of stone you would install Peter. Plus having a smaller footprint for this post I feel is important especially in the interior of a home. Thanks so much for watching.
I just did a fireplace wall. Came out nice . But here is a tip . Buy the prefab corners unless you have a lot of time….and follow the pattern . I decided to get creative with smaller pieces and it took days to finish as opposed to hours…too many cuts . Also use a respirator . Otherwise nice product .
Funny to see how messy the wood is inside that column. The corner joint really shows through. I wonder if they have a clear coat spray with stone powder, like a truck bed spray.
I wouldn't ever suggest painting a light switch, but I get your point. Maybe they can get a high end lightswitch that is metal or matte black. Thanks for watching Phil.

I never understood these kind of channels. So you were sponsored by this company, or in other words, didn't pay for them. How much are they per square foot? Absolutely no way they are reasonably priced. Wish you could filter out sponsored channels on UA-cam. Edit: Home Depot states there are 14.25 sq.ft per box. Each box is $255. That is nearly $19 per square foot after taxes.....
This is a DIY/How To channel and take great pride in what I product and provide to my audience Mike. I've turned down hundreds of sponsorships and ONLY work with brands that I know and trust or feel will benefit my audience in the construction space. My passion is to help others learn how to build, which is exactly what this video provides in my opinion. Please remember this and realize a lot of work goes into these videos and I'm VERY selective of the sponsorship I showcase on this channel. Plus remember that sponsorships are extremely important to content creators. It is a very important revenue stream especially for small channels trying to make this a full time career, while also providing you the audience member with completely free content. Thanks for watching and hope you can think beyond this just being a sponsored video.
Why is your sound in 2 channel mono, in stead of stereo? Your voice is on the left and the music on the right. All of a sudden it starts in stereo and is much harder. Very annoying. Nice project though.

@@BYOTools Your intro has this particular thing and later on in the video also a few times. Your voice-over is stereo but your in-videosound sounds like it's double-mono. I listened with my default laptopspeakers, but now listening with my headphones it seems less, but still there.
Is your audio issue only happening when I'm in front of the camera? Trying to track down this issue and I just got a new mic so I believe an adjustment need to be made. thanks for letting me know.

@@BYOTools Yes, when you are speaking in front of the camera, your voice is mixed to the left channel only. The music and voiceovers are good. When you record one mic with the camera, this is usually the case. You will get a stereo track on the recording, but the sound on the microphone is only on the first channel (left). You need to edit this soundtrack, by using an effect (Fill right with left in premier for example), or breaking the stereo track into two mono tracks, and using only the first track.
Ok look, you put faux stone in places we would have typically built with real stone… you wouldn’t have a skinny dry stack stone post in a home, so it looks ridiculous. Just because we CAN do something doesn’t mean we SHOULD do something. Sorry, I hate it, not because I hate faux stone…I hate faux stone where it doesn’t belong.

@BYOT u know what, sorry for being so dry lol. Thx for taking the time and looking into it. Love your videos. i recently started watching your very first ones, and man, have u come far. I laughed a lot. Keep up the interesting content. I am finally fixing my place up, and it's good to have your videos as a reference.
I’m going to consider the evolve stone for the finish on an outdoor kitchen counter. Nicely done.
I'm assuming it not for the counterTOP haha. Thanks for watching TJ.
Brent, the way you mitered those corners was excellent!!! Now I'm wondering how a large wall exterior project would look. Great videos, as always.
Thanks so much Mitch and always appreciate your support. Definitely looking forward to installing this product on a larger surface.
Looks amazing good instruction on how to make it work. Wonderful detail!
THanks for all the support :)
Great video. Help me here... how many boxes were used for this project? Gives me a better idea of area/cost.

He says in the video it's a composite.
So most likely a mix of plastic, epoxy and perhaps wood fibers.
Awesome job on working with that stone!
Thanks so much for watching Bryan and glad you like the stone.
Awesome work. Long time subscriber here. Definitely want to see it on a flat accent wall.
Imagine listening to this video with just the right ear headphone working

Good question Dirk and its for structurability purposes. 23 ga won't last long term most likely so you want something heavier duty.

Great to hear sherrie and thanks so much for watching. Can't wait to use this on a large scale project.
Yes to exterior wall please 😊
Thanks for letting me know and for watching Zofia.
I think I like this. Would need to know how durable it is. Will it need refinishing, repainting or staining after a time?
No itll last basically forever. Its an awesome product.

In a larger area would be nice. These faux stone products are very interesting.

I would love to see this covering a foundation made with concrete blocks to give it a stone look.
Thanks so much for the input. Can't wait to use this product again.
Old formwork tip. If you need 8” cut all four sides at 7 1/2” and overlap them. If the materials 1/2” anyway. Takes the maths out of it.
GREAT tip and I literally thought about that after I installed the first two panels. O well next project haha. Thanks for watching and lookin out.
I just want to learn how to make this material 😩
That would take some time to make and more money then i have probably haha.
❤
Thanks Jane.
Nice

Such detaling and then still it bothers me that you didn't paint the light switch to make it even look better.

Thanks so much for the suggestion and will keep that in mind Jason.
