@@That_2_guy2T If a Hurricane 130 could have been built with a single-tone rotor (theoretically possible since the choppers should be interchangeable) then this is probably what it would sound like.
I'd like to ask whether I might use this sample for my work: In the past I already tried to recreate / simulate the sound of an F71 with original german siren signals because there is no recording of an active F71 in Germany. So at first I synthesized the sound, later I worked with audio recordings of a similar german siren type (Pintsch Bamag). Although the results were decent, it would be amazing to work with this soundfile of an original F71 recording in the future! Of course you would be mentioned in the credits. Thanks in anticipation!
Nice video! For some reason I remembered the wind down more slowly, I so glad to know that there are still active F71 sirens around the world. Here in Israel they replaced during the early 2010s and some of them are still standing tall!
They made them till the 90s, the last ones were 571s which got delivered to Vienna. Hörmann was actually manufacturing them for a really long time before moving to electronic sirens.
The F71 works similar to the other HLS machines. A small sounder device (which is basically a disk with four holes in it spun by a motor) sits at the top, concealed by the red housing. Compressed air is generated from a diesel setup and stored inside a holding tank. When the siren is activated, the sounder is turned on. At the same time, compressed air is released from the holding tank via a valve and through an air line to the Sounder, which then produces the powerful voice.
It's already become clear that it sounds like an ACA Hurricane, so there's no need to comment about that anymore.
Yeah really sounds like an ACA hurricane-130

Yes they did this to try to get the same sound as the ACA hurricane 130 but used different design to make it seem like they didn’t copy it! 😂😢😅

The best F71-recording ever! Fantastic job!

Sounds very cool! and for the people calling this a hurricane knock off, F71's are older so no more commenting that its a knock off.

I would also like to hear this siren for real, but in Germany we no longer have any F71s that are active.
I've been heard it live before. Very very loud.. Your ears will be scared from it.
