    • @CaptanF0rever
      @CaptanF0rever 2 місяці тому +62

      The difference is that one of them grew up in the hood and the other was playing a part. Nas lived on food stamps and hand me downs. Tupac went to suburban schools and had a good life. Nas never had to "prove" himself to the hood. Tupac felt like he had to constantly act hard to sell his image and music. That's why Nas made his moves quietly. Like he said in "Got urself a gun" 'Got y'all watching my moves, my watch and my jewels.' He knew if he slipped, he could get Got. Just like a lot of other rappers who took bullets for a few pieces of jewelry.

      @@rudeborn Nah, he was a revolutionary, at the beginning. At the beginning, he was the son raised by a gang of panthers. That pro-black shit was in him. He knew his history, where he came from, and that black unity is what we needed to prevail. After he was shot by another black mf, he lost that. I’m sure he didn’t hate his people, but he came to some conclusions, no doubt. After that rap money started pouring, his political side took the back burner. It would come back sometimes, but it wasn’t his main focus anymore. Though, for him to have spoken to and for his people the way he did, represented the struggle of growing up impoverished, gone at political figures, etc and only lived to see 25? As much as a legend 2Pac was across the world , he did get himself into a situation too much to handle , he was only 25 at the height of his career , the mentality ,involvement and vices got the worst of him and draw all the attention , he had the energy no doubt but sometimes he did bad choices due to his lack of self control

    • @ZeroOne46

      Exactly! If he was disciplined enough to allow his actions to match his more positive and socially conscious thoughts and words, he would've indeed been worthy of the respect people give him today. Most would disagree, but he doesn't deserve all the praise he gets for taking up social issues. He spoke the right words at times but he didn't live those words. He was not a peacemaker within the community he spoke so strongly for. He instead aided in keeping it divided, rather than fight to bring it together.

Matter of a fact: he went to the east coast to prove that there is no beef. He represented death Eow east, and many people were with that day.(interview on yt)This is false media. Nas, biggie, puff daddy etc. has signed their souls to the industry. (To be rowdy: more publicity: more money)
      Pac had heart. He wanted to help people. Which is exactly what he did in the east coast.
