I really loved watching this movie in the cinema with a packed audience it was great watching something that has that 2000s early comedy tone but modernised with a great heartwarming ending about just the power of how even platonic relationships can help you grow as much as anything romantic love the reaction
Haha he gets intense second-hand embarrassment, I remember in an old video he said he physically can't handle it I love how he literally has to shield himself anytime something like that happens 😂
I felt that the song “maneater” was about her. The first time the song played was during the fight and percy told her that it felt like she was going to eat him. Also all the failed relationships she had that were actually her fault. And she realized it after percy sung to her, she looked kinda heartbroken because it felt like it was for her🥲
lol andrew barth feldman just recently turned 21, so he was probably 20 during filming. also, he was on broadway when he was 16 and did the arrangement and performed maneater live
I loved this movie! Jennifer Lawrence fighting while naked is the best thing ever! She's absolutely fearless and I love that about her. She's actually very funny as well. Just going to leave my plea for Good Omens here. Thanks guys!
@@LoXHumaN Yeah, especially since it's actually her and not a CGI body. Although I guess I'd be that comfortable in my body too if I had a perfect body.
Andrew Barth Feldman (Percy) is 21 now so he probably really was around 19 or 20 when filming this. Fun fact - he got his start in live theater. He was cast on Broadway at age 16 in the show Dear Evan Hansen - the youngest person to be cast in that role and one of the youngest people to make their Broadway debut, that was not specifically for a kids role/show. So he has a lot of stage experience but this was his first major movie role. I think he did great. I've been following him since Dear Evan Hansen and I'm glad to see other people finally discovering how talented he is.
I loved this movie! It was beyond hilarious! Jennifer Lawrence killed it in this role and Andrew Barth Feldman has such a good voice, he's a broadway singer!
i freaking love zuff's out the blue comments omg he asking if rob and bryce were jealous and saying "her boobs are out" after a whole scene of jennifer completely naked made me laugh so hard 😂😂😂
in the restaurant scene you can see how Jlaw changes her facial expressions because she's fitting in the woman description on the song. the line "money is the matter. if youre in it for love you aint gonna get too far" she just swallows hardly
Been watching all the reactions for a long time now and have to say I admire the depth you analyse the TV Shows/Films you watch and your honest reactions is a joy to experience. Keep it up, you're all awesome!
The way I relate to Jennifer Lawrence in this movie (not the dating younger part) lol. The maneater song definitely made this movie so special to me. I love it.
I think Jlaws reaction during his performance was..oh shit I’m doing this for money, I’m gonna break his heart, she may be feeling for the first time in her life as well due to daddy issues. He was also singing maneater which is a song about a woman who is manipulative and uses men for their money 😅
This movie was so good. The comedy was to my taste and had me gasping for air lol. And the actors are just amazing. They both committed hard to their roles and they played them perfectly. 10/10
when i first heard him singing i said the same shit, like no one told u to start vocalizing 😂 but then it actually started sounding good so im not mad at it
Theyre on Long Island. Theyre all the way out east in Montauk. She tried driving west to Cali to surf but couldnt make it past the city coz thats where her dad is
Tho I will say. The way they keep pronouncing it is very annoying to me as someone who’s grown up all over the island. Literally no one says it like that
I like this movie, quite entertaining. I like the ending too but the fact that she's older than him doesn't bother me because he's not a minor anymore. I found out that people tend to have problems when an older woman is in a relationship with a younger man unlike the other way around.
I've seen more reactions towards older men being with younger women nowadays too. It actually feels even worse if the roles were the opposite way, a 32-year-old man trying to get a 19-year-old girl laid and that way "grow up". The movie would've had to have a very different and more careful approach to it in that case (because it's really sad when something like this actually happens but without the trade-off and helicopter parents, the only motive left being that some older men just want to do it with younger girls). I understand and am okay with it if both parties consent to it, but it is awkwardly common for some men to approach girls who are just above the age of 18, so old enough for it to be not illegal but they still look very young and/or are easier to manipulate and take the advantage of.
Hey! I found you guys a few weeks ago, and have been binge watching you guys (especially your Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte reactions) I’m not sure if you guys take recommendations on UA-cam, but, I really suggest watching the movie Cherry ft. Tom Holland. Cherry and The Impossible are my favorites of his personally. Love the reactions. Keep it up. 😊
Hoping you guys have some holiday movie reactions in the lineup. Christmas movie rec…I think you’d enjoy The Family Stone. It’s hilarious, sad, and a great holiday film!
i feel like you guys thought the plot was suppose to have him singing badly so you guys want it to be bad, the cover of man-eater is a masterpiece wym its not good not bad, it's great,
Says he is 21 right now, so he very well could have been 19 when he filmed it. He looks 15 and can't weigh more than 130lbs in this. Edit : 19 actually isn't that crazy late to get a driver's license on Long Island or NYC. You can't get a full license until you are 18, or if you take a drivers Ed course then it is 17. Can't say I grew up with anyone on LI though that didn't have their full license already by 17 and their permit at 16.
Hes 21 in real life and shes 33 since yall were wondering how old he was!! Crazy he looks older!!! I feel weird saying hes cute when I'm 29 but then again shes 33 lol. Hes a great singer and and they're both funny and great actors!!
Jennifer Lawrence is such a great actress and seems to be a genuinly funny person. If you haven’t seen it I recommend the movie that got her the first Oscar nomination: WINTER’S BONE (2010). You can never doubt her acting skills after that.

For context, Percy is played by an actor who started his career on Broadway! He is a phenomenal singer, which is why they added his song haha
I wondered if that was him really singing. His voice is amazing.
@@dominiccarroll7125yes he was the main character in dear evan hansen at 16 and then on high school musical the musical the series, he's great
Was it someone before because I swear it use to be someone else in the trailers
Is he?
And he played Linguini in the TikTok Ratatouille musical!
Rob gradually falling for Percy is so real lol

😂 good catch ❤
The colors really do fit lmao

I was thinking Huey Dewey and Louie.
I was thinking Powerpuff Girls 😂
not zuff just confessing his love for Jennifer in the beginning😭
Oooooooh I’m really surprised to see someone reacting to this movie, honestly one of the best comedies from the last few years!!
I can’t believe more haven’t considering it was or maybe is on Netflix top ten and I saw so many people react to the trailer

I was dying at that scene I didn’t expect a full nude shot of her fighting some teens lol
Yeah nudity is one thing but full frontal nude fighting is a level above. Bravo Jennifer!
@@LoXHumaN Yeah, especially since it's actually her and not a CGI body. Although I guess I'd be that comfortable in my body too if I had a perfect body.
That's not her real body. It's a double. Her head is cut onto the body. Just like what was done for cersi and her walk of shame.
@@elusiveDEVIANT Cersi's scene was a double, Jennifer's wasn't.
This is easily one of my favorite movies released this year. It was very 2000’s comedy energy.

"He's not bad" y'all...he's literally a broadway actor

Jlaw was genuinely in awe when he played maneater. That was her raw reaction, she said that in an interview.
Johnny Lawrence would be proud
The best rendition of Maneater I've ever heard.❤

the beach fight scene had me soooooo weak
