I love that her inability to understand sarcasm was also the catalyst for all the main conflicts of the movie. Like in the beginning Hazel believed them when PJ said "yeah we went to juvie" which spread their lie in the first place, and when Hazel proposed the bomb and PJ responded with "yeah Hazel, let's do terrorism" so she actually blows up the car and get's the club disbanded.

in an interview for this movie Marshawn said that his sister came out to him while he was in high school and he really regrets how he reacted to it. he has really grown from his initial experience and said that being in Bottoms "felt like this was the universe giving him a chance to right his wrongs...Throughout the film’s shoot in New Orleans, Seligman says, “he kept on bringing up Marreesha.” Especially when Sapp-Lynch and her wife visited the set, she recalls, “He kept on being like, ‘That's my sister.’ In a way where it was like a proud parent [of queer kids] - a proud brother.” such a sweet man
This is one of the best movies of the year. The entire cast is hysterical. The fact that Nicholas Galitzine filmed this right before Red White and Royal Blue really shows his talent and range. I love that Emma, Ayo and Rachel went to NYU together. Ayo and Rachel just have amazing chemistry on camera. Rewatching the movie, you really notice the smart and funny shit going on in the background of scenes too.
Love you guys pointing out the football team constantly wearing their uniforms to class or outside of school and how weird that is! I always took that as commentary on all the 90s and 00s movies where the cheerleaders did the same thing, and were literally only ever shown in cheer outfits despite real life cheerleaders never doing that bc... duh it is so weird? It's super subtle in this but the cheerleaders only wear their uniforms while performing but the footballers are always wearing theirs. A very fun trope switch!

this became like one of my favorite comedy film ever. also when watching the movie i also felt like most of the dialogue was improv (mostly the interactions and conversations between ayo and rachel) and it makes a lot of sense since they’ve been friends for years and also are phenomal actresses so yeah… the director also said that marsha did a lot of improv and it was rlly funny, she said they tried to keep it all in the film but that’s why there’s a lot of “bloopers” in the end credits if you’ve noticed

Yessss, honestly I was hoping you guys would react to this movie, I’ve been obsessed with it since it came out. It’s giving us all the crazy, over the top dramatics of a 2000s movie which I’ve been missing, plus finally someone didn’t absolutely butcher writing teenagers…also everything about it is just hilarious
There's so much going on in the movie that it needs several viewings. For instance: I still haven't tracked everything the game announcer is saying near the end; I know before that one girl shouts for Jeff to eat her p***y, some other unseen girl shouts for him to fill her with his seed! Also, in the cafeteria scene, the player before JEFF in line gets slop, but JEFF gets a steak, which Tim, player 02 is cutting up for him to eat when Isabel confronts JEFF. Also, when Hazel suggest a "small" bomb for JEFF's car, literally everyone in the cafeteria is standing there listening to everything she says. Also, I have yet to see a reactor mention the mascots "schlong." One last thing, when Josie tells Isabel that JEFF is cheating on her, she does say something like, "And even though it's technically legal, it's still pretty nasty." So I think JEFF is an 18-year-old idiot.
Lol, I’m so happy you guys enjoyed it so much💖. It was absolutely hilarious! 😂 Nicolas definitely did an awesome job acting. I absolutely DESPISED his character, Jeff. Jeff was definitely the most annoying character out of all of them. The whole time I was just waiting for him to get a boot to the head. He might have the outward appearance of a masculine and athletic man, but he has the pettiness and vindictiveness of a PMSing 15 year old high school girl. Regina George has absolutely nothing on him, Jeff was the ULTIMATE mean girl. 🙄🤦🏾♀️👏🏾
This movie is phenomenal! It takes me back to when I worked at a movie theater from 2004-2010! It really reminded me of Fired Up, but that movie was quintessentially mid 00's! I legit giggled every time I saw the mascot in the background. And it's crazy how much Cindy Crawford's daughter who plays Brittany looks just like her!
