The battery is a huge downgrade, i get 2+ days max. With same settings I used to get at least 3+ days. Before I start watching the video I just wanna say that it's almost 2 AM here in Lebanon and that I was about to close my eyes and sleep, BUT i clicked on youtube by mistake and was about to close the app. To my surprise your video was the first on the list and I will definitely not miss it and watch it eventhough I feel so sleepy. That's how much I appreciate your reviews. One of the BEST.
Your videos have a good aspect ratio, I almost don't have to spread them to fill tthe screen. Bravo on having one of the few good tech channels that are on youtube.
First time commenter, long time fan. As the owner of a Galaxy Watch Active 2, I find it important to include more detail on how the Galaxy Watch OS forces you into Samsung's respective phone apps. In the reviews I watched prior to purchasing that watch, I was disappointed when I discovered how limited some functions were if I ever tried to roam outside of Samsung messages, calendar, etc. It feels very Apple-esque in it's walled garden approach. Possibly even more troubling is how those respective apps often include ads, such as Samsung Health, phone app, etc.
MST is ancient and for about a decade has only really been a thing in the US. I remember working a supermarket in *2008* and any Americans who came in with MST credit cards being a right pain to process.
I have the Frontier - 3 years 2 months. Paired with Pixel 3xl. I have been looking at the new watch and thank you for this review. It helped me to decide to stay with my Frontier. Even after 3 years - 3 days off battery with typical use. If heavy use - 2 days. That is the #1 reason I like this watch. I am a bit disappointed that Samsung went away with it. But thank you for the review!
I have a flawless black Gear S3 Frontier with a black stainless steel mesh band and black diamond cut bezel ring, totally unique. Samsung offered me $200.00 trade in for it plus a cyber Monday discount bringing the Watch 3 LTE down to just $219.00 plus tax. I decided to give it a try... After setting it all up (keep in mind that I don't use any of the fitness functions, I use my watch for phone calls, text messages, checking emails, getting weather and package alerts and Samsung Pay for super fast checkout) their was absolutely no different in the user interface. All the apps I use daily were the same and looked exactly the same. The Watch 3 felt lighter and cheaper (despite being nearly $500.00 retail). Even though the Watch 3 was brand new my Gear has longer battery life. But the last straw for me was when I stopped into the convenience store that I use daily on the way to work and Samsung Pay would not work. Turns out the stores card readers are old school and don't support NFC payments and the Watch 3 DOES NOT support MST payments. So, on day 2... The Watch 3... went back to Samsung and the Gear S3 Frontier went BACK ON MY WRIST.

Great video! After watching really many smartwatchvideos from you I’m thinking about buying this watch in 2023 (3 years later) as my first smartwatch ever. Used one. Cheap.
I don't think I'll ever switch back from Garmin's vivoactive line. I used to be big in the smartwatch game, but having 5+ days battery on the Vivoactive 4, I just can't justify ever going back to something like this with 1-1.5 days. Garmin has the most in depth and fully fledged fitness platform of any of them too. I'm a big data-head, and it provides more data than even I need. Yes, the screen isn't an OLED (although the Venu is), the transflective display is viewable in nearly every condition and looks amazing in direct sunlight. The backlight works fine when needed too.
I heard on the Pocketnow podcast that the 2018 variant is still hard to get these days. Take it's because of battery. Also ITS ABOUT TIME YOU GOT TO 1MILLION. I think I've made comments about this around when you were at 670K or so. Congrats!
Hey Mr. Mobile! I just had my first baby born! Which means I need to know when I get a message or a call pretty often (and my phone bees to stay SILENT). So I'm thinking about getting a smart watch. Problem always was that I can't stand fiddling with the wrist band. Can you do a video about a better wrist band UX options? I hope there is one that stays on your wrist, and the watch itself can detach for charging (.. without removing the wrist band)
I'll wait for the moment when Samsung reintroduced MST compatibility for Samsung Pay on new Galaxy Watch. I'm still using my Gear S3 because not all retail premises here in Malaysia have adapted to NFC technology. Even some big supermarket or hypermarket retail is still relying on the old MST tech.
I loved my Galaxy Gear S2, but after moving to a smartwatch that's both thinner (I hate chunky watches on my wrist) AND lasts over a week on a charge, I can't go back to something that needs charging every other day. Yea, sure, it's got that lovely rotating bezel, and Tizen has more apps than my watch, but I never used them. I just need health tracking, notifications, and the basic apps (weather, stopwatch, agenda, etc.). The Amazfit does all that with ease, and will ultimately last MUCH longer before needing to be replaced. And it's much cheaper.
Congratulations on hitting 1M sub, you deserve every bit and more. Your videos are always to the point, no waste of time and had help me a lot in tech shopping. Keep up Mr. Mobile.

1:22 I spy a Marc Rebillet text!
There is no other channel who review smart watches so good like you!
Me and my friend were discussing the other day why you're such a great content maker and how underrated you were. Congratulations on 1 Million 🙂
Can't Wait For The Note 20/20 Ultra Review, He is my Go-To for Phone Reviews
One of my favorite channels. You have sort of a "Stark" thing going on.
Congrats on the 1 million, you deserve 10 million!
Bring back the Mr Mobile intro!!
Hey Michael congratulations on 1M Subs, finally my friend! Been following you for a while now and I love your work! And I see you finally found a barber 😂 keep it up MrMobile!
As the owner of the S3 Frontier, I really wanted to see a better water resistance for me to make the switch, especially for the price. I don't see myself getting one until the price drops. Great video, Michael!
Anyone else reminded of Robert Downey Jr in the first 10 seconds of him talking?
Big congratulations on hitting 1 million. Well deserved. Your voiceovers are the best in the industry. I trust your assessment and am very supportive of your mission for transparency on sponsorships. Love your work. Thanks for making great content.
The background music reminds me of wii sports
Sunset dreams Neon Beach- great tune. He’s used it before.
so happy for 1M followers, have been waiting for this for so long. you deserve it Mr. Mobile.
This one is beautiful, I hope to be my first smart watch ever.
I feel apart from design, it´s a downgrade from 2018 model.
Your videos have a good aspect ratio, I almost don't have to spread them to fill tthe screen. Bravo on having one of the few good tech channels that are on youtube.
Not only does he sound like Robert Downey Jr., he looks like his younger version as well.😎😍🔥
He does! Perfect costume for Halloween or ComicCon!
The lack of MST, using the same chip from the 2018 watch, a worse battery life and costing $400. Why? The first one seems to be the better option.
I'm a simple Man.
I get a UA-cam notification that MrMobile uploaded a new video.
*I watch* (no pun intended 😂)
Did I see a Lost reference? Hahaha
That was awesome.
Mr Mobile.... You are one of the finest out there! I found your channel about a year ago and you are very much deserving of all your success. I even watch videos on things that I have no interest in ever buying but because your videos are so well made it's hard not to watch everything!
Samsung, for the prices of your watches, I rather purchase Apple Watch instead.
Sure, if you're on iPhone. If you have an iPhone, Apple Watch is really the only good/compelling option. If you're on Android, you have many options, but none of them are Apple Watch.
@@kleinstarnull I think that's a good thing for Android users. So much choice for designs, sizes, price points. For Apple your only choices are the new one or the older ones to save money.
@@JBuchmann Apple watch is just better. I like my Pixel to much to switch for apple watch. I hope google games a wear os watch + update wear os.
Apple watch is ugly as hell anyway.
You've addressed my main complaint factor, and reason for not buying a smartwatch and fitness band--Battery life. I do not want another device I need to charge constantly.
I just ordered the 41mm Galaxy Watch 3 in Mystic Bronze for $299 on Amazon. Not a bad deal!
Thank you for your review! I know I made the right choice to upgrade my Gear s3.
I bought active 2 stainless steel version when i saw first official video for watch 3, the difference between them is minimal mainly physical bezel and So2 measurement. Congratulations on 1 mil subscribers.
Mr. Mobile might be the most underrated tech UA-cam channel in UA-cam... The quality of the videos and this guy’s hard work makes me wonder why didn’t this channel have crossed 10 million subs yet... Anyways, stay mobile my friend and in the future 10M subs coming soon...🔥
Congrats on 1 million. Been watching your videos for years and you’re easily the best (along with flossy) tech reviewer!!
Considering the number of smartwatches you reviewed, which one is the best smartwach to use?
Congratulations mr Fisher..for 1 million
subscribers Without contemplating any conundrum & Predicament.. *it's imperative for me to assert that you are unequivocally the Best tech reviewer with Magniloquence & enunciation with Grandiloquence..Sagacious,witted and well acquainted about technical knowledge...it's obtestation & entreaty kindly keep growing and continue your stupendous work
This is really most in depth review of this device on UA-cam so far. U really hit different points than others who gloss over surface things
Just wondering can you test the offline Spotify playback with no phone please?
Why does he need to test it??? It works, as long as you have a premium account
@@parkerwilkins5495 what I'm referring to is offline playback without a phone so for example I connect my Bluetooth headphones to the watch and I can play music while I workout for example.
@@mohamedabdourahman9845 yes, you can do that. (You need a Spotify premium account though)
@@parkerwilkins5495 Thanks for the answer. How many songs can it fit?
@@mohamedabdourahman9845 well, the watch has 8gb of storage, but the system uses 3, so 5 GB for all of your songs.
I swear no one has the experience in terms of smart watches like micheal does!! Congrats for that 1 million subs my man!
What are the watch faces on 5:50 and 7:55?
Your writing / script is just superb. I don't think any other tech youtuber can match it.
It's like watching Ironman doing tech reviews.
Can you tell which watchface is that at 2:22? Please!
When's the video on the galaxy buds live coming out?
Watching videos that naturally fill my phone screen when watching in vertical is so nice.
Congrats on the one mil..... Following you since you started this channel and I hope you get to 10 mil soon....
Mr.Fisher, I traded in my Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS+Cellular) 40mm Aluminum for a 41mm Galaxy Watch 3. Absolutely love the round face form factor, that rotating bezel with full functionality ...
Congrats on 1 Million Subs 🎉
Been here for a while and I can say it's well deserved 🎉
1:21 Marc Rebillet cameo!! I love that guy
Was looking to see if anyone else caught that! That dude is so talented, had no idea him and Mr mobile were friends
Great video! After watching really many smartwatchvideos from you I’m thinking about buying this watch in 2023 (3 years later) as my first smartwatch ever. Used one. Cheap.
Here's to the best tech UA-camr by a mile! Congratulations on the 1 Million Subscriber Mark!
!
Congratulations Michael on 1 mill subs. You deserve it more than anyone, thank you for years of fantastic videos and stay safe out there my friend.
I love to listen to your English. It's amazing.
Hey Mike, what size are you wearing in this review? 41 or 45mm? Cheers in advance
Keep up Mr. Mobile.
Well done on 1 million subscribers, I remember the Pocketnow days and to see U go out on by yourself and to get up to a million subscribers is so good keep it up.
Got to admit Mr. Mobile your review videos are AWESOME. You speak very honestly like a tech reviewer should you are not bashing or endorsing the product it's simply...this is what works this is what doesn't and needs improvement. Congratulations on the 1 million👍👍
