I was euphorically amazed that they brought back the classic bezel!!! It was one of the subtle design perks that I loved about older Galaxy watches - as I hated the touch bezel… even if Samsung made its best attempt to mimic the physical bezel-like tactility through haptic feedback.
Shame on you Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has an awful battery, why isn't Samsung using the same dual screen technology just like the Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro 5?! 😡 The dual screen technology has an AMOLED display + an Ultra Low Power screen.
Just upgraded from the black watch 4 classic to the silver watch 6 classic a few days ago and I love it. I love the size and the bezel feels so much better when rotating. I've also genuinely gotten just about two days charge so far with it. Maybe more as the watch gets settled.
I find the battery life pretty good, in my experience I can get through an entire week with sporadic charging before I head into work. Always on, sleep and workout tracking and LTE. I charge it in the mornings as I get ready for work and it always gives me just enough to have battery until the next morning. Then on weekends I give it a full charge and it's ready for another week
Your videos are always a joy, Michael. I do long for the days of the OG Pebble. A stylish companion with battery life to die for and a built in limiter of an e-ink display so it didn't try to do too much for a watch.
My PTS is still going strong, 9 days of battery life. In the meanwhile I've had a Missfit Vapor X, it's charging rings fell off, then a GWA2, it's screen fell off, and now a GW4, but the Pebble is till ready to go any time, all apps in stalled on my phone to be able to change to it in a heartbeat.
I have to say that Samsung went all-out with the Galaxy Watch 6 series! One of the things that caused this is the return of the classic rotating bezel to the fold, which is absolutely amazing!
For samsung watch owners, I'd highly recommend the samsung wireless duo charger. Just so convenient with charging your watch and phone and wireless buds. msrp is high but often on sale. form factor is slim so its easy to slip in a bag for travel as well instead of having to carry around the dinky charger pucks.
I have a Watch3 Classic, and I am VERY happy with it. Although some dust got between the rotating bezel making it harder to spin, after 3 years of daily use and the occasional bump against a door or wall, the watch still works and looks brand new. I might consider buying the new Watch6, not because I need to replace the old one but because of that nice silver color, Wear OS, 4 years of updates and my experience with my current Galaxy watch. I once had one of the first smartwatches as well, the LG G Watch, it's great to see smartwatches finally becoming decent replacements for normal watches.
😂 yh right I don’t see the point. Look what you get 2 days battery life that’s so basic This why I gave up with GW. Switched to the TCW5p 5 days glorious battery life if I’m lucky 7 days. 😄👌
On the bezel not waking the watch after just one click: I'm thinking that's a feature, so that if it catches on the cuff of your shirt or jacket, it doesn't keep waking up.
Great review as always. The location looks amazing. Still nothing in this update to make me think I need to upgrade from the original Galaxy Watch and my battery life is still 3-4 days.
Looks pretty nice! A little surprised they brought back the rotating bezel, but in a good way. I'll probably still keep my gear s2 classic, since i prefer the smaller footprint and tizen software, but still a nice device!

Been using Watch 6 Classic about a week from pre-order. First time owner of smartwatch and I ordered black version. Kinda agree that silver one is better. Black is more minimalist. Daily using it as well as sleep tracking. Can say it is pretty awesome. Side note, the watch screen is so bright under direct sunlight is perfectly fine.
Every review is about the 6 classic. I went from a 3 with a rotating bezel to the regular 6 and I am so happy. I hate the bezel. It's In the way and takes up real-estate. I rarely used my watch until the 6 showed up and I'm in love. Rethink your decision just saying. I ordered it and had anxiety over not getting the classic and I'm so glad I did not. You do you
Not actually. He tried the Galaxy Watch 5's screen before and it was actual sapphire crystal, albeit a weaker one (scratches at level 8 with deeper grooves at level 9)
I still have the Watch 4 Classic. I am really glad they brought back the rotating bezel. I hope they decide to keep it around for next years watch. I will probably upgrade then as the 4 is still serving me well.
The bezel taking a few clicks for it to unlock the screen isn't a bug or a glitch that hasn't been fixed it's actually a feature that it has it takes a couple of clicks on purpose so that while you're watches under your sleeve for example it doesn't constantly keep waking up if the bezel happens to turn because as you know the more it wakes up the more it uses battery on you don't want your watch constantly waking up every 2 seconds when you're not looking at it or using it
I got a regular watch 6 44mm this year, got tired of how large the GW4 and GW5 Pro were. Thick and heavy. GW6 is much thinner and lighter with the same display. No rotating bezel is no big loss imo
Thanks for this review Michael. The main draw of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic for me is that I can still trade-in my Active2 for a solid $150 discount. Makes it pretty tempting.
I got it. Love it. It’s the most beautiful smart watch I have ever seen. I still have my Apple Watch Series 4 44mm Stainless Steel and it looks like a toy compared to my 6 Classic.
Good to see the bezel is back! The whole reason why I chose a Galaxy watch (still rocking the original 1st gen 46mm) is because: 1. The Apple watch's tiny little crown is tiny 2. I use an Android so Apple watch doesn't work that well (AFAIK) 3. Back to my first point, I mainly use the dial when I ride my motorcycle, I wear gloves and touch doesn't work that well on my phone nor on the touch, so having the bezel rotate means I can rotate and read my messages briefly to see if it's important enough for me to stop somewhere and reply to my texts or it can wait till I get to my destination
Gotta say, the Galaxy Watch has matured very well. Last time I used a Samsung Smartwatch was the Gear S2 and it was not a great time imo. Their older wearable OS was not a pleasure to use. Great review as usual!
@@tams805 I thought so when I got it but the software was bad enough to push me away from using it and sold it after a month and a half. I was lucky it didn’t turn me off from smartwatches altogether.
I absolutely love my new Galaxy Watch6 Classic 47mm black! I had been wearing my Galaxy Watch5 Pro (mixed in with the GW4 Classic and sleeping with the GW4 44mm) for most of the year. I noticed the size of the GW6 Classic immediately and love it.
Bought it and less then 2 weeks: the band broke (the material is not strong enough and ...by wearing it daily...somehow broke it). And yes please get the silver one. Traded the classic 4: its worth it with smaller bezel and more fluid os!
Michael! Please consider Audiobook narration:) people have asked you like thousand times and I still watch your videos more for your narrations than the product
So here's my dilemma... I have the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and I love it. Aesthetically imo it looks pretty much the same as the Watch 6 Classic and features-wise it is also almost identical. Mine just recently got a software update and so even the UI looks the same. However, my battery life has dropped significantly to a day and a half with very mild use (never turning on the AOD) except for sleep tracking. And this is driving me crazy. Having to top-off in the middle of the day is legit making me consider if the $230 (after trade-in) is worth it to get better battery life and the new (albeit small) features...
nobody but yourself can tell if the extra battery is worth 230$. To me it is not, mostly because of 2 reasons; 1. The hardware itself is not that different and newer update might improve the battery of GW4. 2. The GW6 might also lose it's battery endurance in 1+ years and it WILL definitely go on sale for less than $280 in 10-12 months. $230 is not a bad deal at all but read more reviews on GW6 battery before you pull the trigger.
You might consider just replacing the battery. Can't say how hard it is on the Watch 4 that you have but I've considered it for my Active 2 and it's not very hard. Definitely a lot cheaper than getting a new watch
MR MOBILE I was waiting for your review and it finally dropped thank you for the great and informative videos I like them so much I loved this one I got the 47mm silver color
I just purchased the Silver 47mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic BT for $140, trading in my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro for $250 on a Promotion, so I will probably be a bit more forgiving but, I’m still really excited as I love my current GLXY WTCH 5 PRO. I actually waited for 20min in the checkout windows on the Samsung app and they added an extra $45 off for a total $295 discount. Idk if that is common but, I would recommend people try that trick.
Thanks for the great review! I appreciate your unique style and personal touch .. also precise and keeps the watcher wanting for more.. which is an excellent formula.. !Stay Mobile!
Man I've never even considered nor will I ever consider getting a smart watch, but this guy's brilliance at creating these kind of videos and his voice just made me sit down and watch the first review of a watch that I've ever seen, and I'm ready to press that replay button.. kudos to you Michael, you deserve everything you have and more
I actually went for the regular Galaxy Watch 4 a while back since I was working a warehouse job and didn't want the bezel to get scratched or scratch any machinery. I might actually upgrade to the 6 Classic later on now that I'm moving on to a different job.
I love the turning bezel for a variety of reasons, both tactility and functionality-wise. It makes for a less smeary screen, for one. Too bad then that Samsung adds the requirement to *input your pin code/pattern each time you pay* with the watch, exposing your code to onlookers. You still have to input it when you put the watch on, and the watch is locked when removed. Samsung has failed to explain how this slow dual procedure, increasing the queue behind you, improves safety in any way, shape or form. It's a stylish watch and the bezel looks like it's made with more precision than on the Watch 4 Classic which had rather sharp coin edges.
Thanks for letting us know about the pin/pattern restriction. That would be annoying. I have a TicWatch and you only need to unlock it when you put the watch on. It remains unlocked while wearing it. Then a double click of a button is all thats needed to access Google pay. But that isnt perfect either. Sometimes it doesnt register the 2nd click and takes me to my store cards instead. A pain. I'm planning on getting a Flip 5 during Black Friday sales and will most likely get a Galaxy watch too.
@@rick_terscale1111 Sure thing. They are nice watches, look great, versatile, have a conversational Google Assistant and a highly useful Google Keep 'one favorite post' quick access tile. Improvement points apart from the one mentioned are better HR tracking when doing vigorous exercise, more accurate sleep tracking and battery autonomy (I use the LTE). I'm looking forward to the next gen, hopefully with the more frugal 5G tech.
I'm still rocking my HONOR MagicWatch 2 for the past three and a half years! Still runs almost an entire week on ONE charge. Still runs fast with no lag. Still provides Weather, Health Monitoring, Weather Information, Texts (receive only), and (something I use a LOT) Music/Video Player Controls (previous track, next track, and volume control. Which is PERFECT for listening to podcasts and music while out and about without having to take your cellphone out). And the best part was it only cost $220.00, which is priced under the $250.00 'sweet spot'. A smart watch should augment a cell phone, and NOT cost as much as mid tier phone IMHO.
My Classic 6 and Fold 5 arrived the same day. So I decided to put the strap on the watch first. Only the fact that I'm a stubborn Taurus allowed the task to succeed, I don't want to admit how long. So I can relate to your issue. Fortunately, my strap has stayed on so far. It is a great watch in silver and black, and I'm a Steelers fan!
I just upgraded from the Watch 5 44mm to the Watch 6 Classic 47mm Silver. With trade in and student discount, it came up to £155! So it was a no brainer.
I actually sent my GW6 classic back. Yes it looked great, but other than the screen, it offered very little over my GW4C. Seemed daft to spend £300 on a brighter screen
Yes but here in the UK for example, I can't find the GWC4 for under £250-£300 new and yet right now on Samsungs own site, I can get it with student discount and a fitbit Versa 2 trade in (£75 off) for a total of £216!
Just picked up the 6 classic in silver today, absolutely love it! But I'll be keeping my watch 5 pro too for work and when I just need that extra battery life.
Been waiting for your review, Mr. Mobile. Thank you! I have been debating getting the 6 classic to replace my 4. I may wait for the Garmin Venu 3 Plus.
Always great watching your videos. High quality editing and great audio and great music. Right now I'm going through a tryout of watches. I have the Galaxy 6 watch that's okay. And I have the pixel 2 watch and that's okay. But sleep tracking on both give me very different results and I'm disappointed in that. I'm going to look into the Garmin watch that you mentioned in this video. I only use watches as timers, exercise tracking, and sleep tracking. And I don't like having to charge it everyday. Hopefully the Garmin will give me what I'm looking for. Thanks for the video upload.
bought the watch 4 just a few months ago and the upgrades are so incremental i think i will cherish it for years. it's still a great package. trade-ins are non existant in europe :(
Got my gw4 about a month after launch and been using it since! Mine succame to battery drain issues about a month ago, one reset later and battery life is 1 day+ again
I bought the black classic 47mm and had second thought that I should have bought the silver one and that I made a mistake. The silver one really looks good and and I think if it had micro scratches I could polish it unlike the black which I think there is no way you can polish the micro scratches out.
Considering that I barely get 18 hours on my Watch 4 44mm (that too with AOD, heart rate, and all other shenanigans turned off). Your mileage on this Watch 6 feels like a significant improvement to me.
Yeah, this is really encouraging. I would not use the watch nearly as heavily as he does, so if he got 56 hours then I would likely get more than that. Obviously Garmin-level battery life would be ideal, but honestly I could live with a consistent 48 hrs +.
I have a Watch 4 but I decided to hold out a little long. I think for what I do with my watch, I don’t need to upgrade right now. But I’m glad they made things right and brought back the bezel.
The only bad thing I can feel about this rate of upgrades for the smartwatches is the amount of room to improve and also the rate of e waste created, also for example many might jump to news devices because only the latest Wear OS will have the Google Assistant, Google is dropping support for previous versions, I feel manufacturers might need to aim at something you like more, style and fun, that way they might be able to increase the price and no need to upgrade the features because people will be able to wear for longer the unique piece they are using, what do you think Captain?
I like how Samsung brought back the watch only feature as I don't have to go through the settings and disable all the gimmicky battery sucking health features.
100,000% on the battery as a person currently using an Amazfit GTR Pro 3 I just don't understand the mile long gap between these things but everything else does look pretty great. At least waiting to see the PixelW2 but I don't have high hopes there either. Probably sticking with the Amazfit for another year at least SMH
Gosh you know Mr. Fisher, we all don't choose what we'll be wearing/using based upon others already wearing/using it. In fact, many do the exact opposite - choosing what to wear/use because others ARE wearing/using it. Myself, I hope to everything sacred Samsung does not boot their addiction to avoiding the boring, blasé monotones of Google-like UIs. Yack! Hats off to Sammy for doing it in Android with full color enhancements. Next year I may pick up the 6 if my Classic 4 46mm goes south (unlikely at it is rock solid so far).
I wanted the Classic Watch 6 in silver, but didn't want to wait for it. So I got the black but with the white vegan leather (?) band and the white/black combo looks pretty nice!
I'm glad somebody finally said it cuz for these past two generations of Samsung devices I've been vastly underwhelmed. The UI looks old on both Samsung phones and on the Samsung watch. And personally I don't see anything that they're doing better than Google. So for me I'm sticking with the pixel watch which is the best looking watch on the market still today, and I'm sticking with pixel phones for numerous reasons, but the biggest one, the UI just looks the best out of all Android phones, and also for the pixel features! Samsung got to do better!

So do you regret trading your 5 pro?
Good review, Thank you. (I got the silver one)
Thanks for the great review! I appreciate your unique style and personal touch .. also precise and keeps the watcher wanting for more.. which is an excellent formula.. !Stay Mobile!
My Galaxy Watch 6 should be arriving next week. The student discount + trade in really helped
Have you ever considered making a channel just talking about Star Trek, or anything really? I just love listening to your voice.
I have the Galaxy Watch 3 classic; I think now it's actually worth the upgrade.
Literally right before watching this video I cancelled my silver order and re-ordered the black model 😂 I like the minimal muted style
Finally another smartwatch that makes me want it, first one was the original moto360
Just picked up the 6 classic in silver today, absolutely love it! But I'll be keeping my watch 5 pro too for work and when I just need that extra battery life.
Fantastic commentary in the video. Was great fun.
The silver one looks sooo fancy. love it.
Been waiting for your review, Mr. Mobile. Thank you! I have been debating getting the 6 classic to replace my 4. I may wait for the Garmin Venu 3 Plus.
Black 47mm with a SS black band here. Love it!
This Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is a winner, love the battery life and how aesthetically pleasing it is.
bought the watch 4 just a few months ago and the upgrades are so incremental i think i will cherish it for years. it's still a great package. trade-ins are non existant in europe :(
Got my gw4 about a month after launch and been using it since!
4:50 this smile is PURE JOY :D
I'm still wearing my 4 classic and I love it.
Yes the silver is the best one. I'm glad they did the polished SS on the bigger model this time around. It's very gorgeous
Exceptionally done as always
You're the best daily usage reviewer.
I got the 6 Classic and it's been great!
The Watch 6 Classic is so sexy😍!! Can't wait to trade my Watch5 in for it! Great review as always Mr. Mobile!
I wanted the Classic Watch 6 in silver, but didn't want to wait for it. So I got the black but with the white vegan leather (?) band and the white/black combo looks pretty nice!
The man played audio of him snoring. I had to like and subscribe
Saw a black one in Currys the other day. Lovely in real life.
Excellent quality review as always!
MBKHD tested all 6 popular watches. Samsung surprisingly was the second most accurate pedometer. Garmin got 1st.
Im transitioning to Samsung, or just android. Just sold my Watch Ultra.
Really intriguing these years Samsung-watches.
All we need is a visual refresh to the software and it’ll be great.
It’s functional, keep it like that! I’d like to see it look more ‘mature’.
Currently wearing the silver 47 classic...nice little upgrade from the GW4C, mainly the screen size and battery 🤘
Thank you for the amazing review ❤
the videography & the script writing continues to get better
