The one thing that is shocking is the failure of the Falcons to land even one meaningful defensive signing, even with the cost of Cousins there was money that could have been made available
Falcons spent a ton on defense last offseason. Makes sense to focus on their biggest issue (quarterback) in free agency and use the draft to fill in any holes on D

Hopefully Saquon Barkley isn’t a DeMarco Murray 2.0 situation. I think the main difference is that Saquon put up good stats with a bad Giants offensive line while Murray’s success was based almost entirely on the line he had in Dallas.

Murray's success was only half because of Dallas' line. The Cowboys let him move across the division because they were betting their line did all the work, and none of the bums they trotted out could do half of what he did.
He did only hit that peak for like two years, but what a peak it was.

Murray also did not fit whatever the heck scheme Chip Kelly had in mind for Murray. Philly's line wasn't bad even if not as good as Dallas at the time.
Murray had a great first year in Tennessee which granted had a great line, but what the Eagles tried w/Murray was still a head scratcher

Either Tree has some inside information on two teams in the league or someone needs to tell him there are 32 teams in the league, not 30. Twice he talked about 29 other teams being interested in a particular player if his current team could no longer afford him (Jefferson and Aiyuk)

Unpopular opinion, but I think the hip-drop tackle is actually extremely easy to spot and call and people are making a huge deal out of defending a tackle that has around a 6-7% injury rate.
Having a 250 lb guy roll his body weight the backs of your ankles is never a good idea for a safe move. And many of the same people whining about this are going to call every low scoring game with field goals boring. The only love the D gets is the big whoop when they ban a dangerous move.
I really hope Howell does well in Seattle. He has his issues, but it also doesn't feel like he got a fair shake in Washington either.

outside of Drake London, the Atlanta WR room is decent at best, Kyle Pitts could be good, but how long have we been saying that he "could be good", only to disappoint (not to mention his injury history)? and Bijan has high potential but we'll see how they use him.

Best defense in the league. He was supposed to be the final piece to a SB roster. But they missed the playoffs that year. And in his time in MN, he threw to Diggs, Theilan, Rudolph, Cook, Hockenson, and now literally the best WR in the league with Jefferson. He had every opportunity to succeed and could only squeak out one playoff win in 6 years.
