Welcome to the madness that is the NFL Draft, where we anticipate a man stepping up to a podium to announce names. To be fair, it is a good time for everyone involved, especially for the men that get the call from GM's and HC's alike. Drafted players all and the same. This video is dedicated to the first round of the NFL Draft in 2024.
Yes, it's super late, as always. I had some things to do last weekend. I really need to focus on the UA-cam game. - Спорт
Atlanta slammed its Penix in the car door.
thlammed
Lmao good one 🤣
You win
"Cue the music" lol
I see you are a man of culture. I applaud this.
Lions jumping up to grab a player the Packers want and need is starting to become an annual tradition
And as a lions fan I fucking love it
So you think that’s who Green Bay wanted… seems to me they had their eyes dead set on Jordan Morgan. Didn’t even hesitate to make that pick after Detroit did what they did.
@@Steve_Hunts96not sure but I think GB said on record they wanted Arnold
@@Steve_Hunts96most of the Packers fans I talked to wanted Arnold, Dejean, or Barton. They didn’t get any of them 💀
@@lionguy8959you won't need to trade up past us this year

We will defeat the BIG BAD 49ers n you can WATCH US return the trophy n division back to its HOME IN LAMBEAU

Can’t wait for 2029 when we get “Revisiting: the 2024 NFL Draft”
I'm stoked for next year. The 2020 QB was insanely nice.
He's going to owe Atlanta an apology.
Same, gonna come back to this video as well
New England Patriots Joe Milton III MVP season. 😉
And Williams is out of the league lol
From GMs outmaneuvering each other to those classic unexpected moments-always a treat. Also, GreenHat AI's insights have been on point all year, much like this video!
No matter the year, no matter if it's the regular or offseason, we can always count on the Falcons to give us great laughter.
This has long been true, and we here in NOLA always appreciate the failcons clown show
That they did. I just fuxking died with laughter after they made that pick and shocked everyone in my house
Yes, because the saints have never been a clown show@@thepolarphantasm2319
They are slowly becoming the jets with wild, weird and unexplainable picks
The Falcons have been irrelevant since....THAT....game.
That Penix pick not only was made to piss off Falcons fans, but us Raiders fans as well.
Meh, at least we got the best TE prospect in college football history.
That's the consolation prize. Brock Bowers is gonna thrive here.
Honestly, it might be best we dodged Penix in the long run
Someone told Atlanta the Saints were going to trade up with the Jets at 10 to take Penix and Atlanta said HELL NO!
Minshew in a team with a solid defence should be good enough at least.
The *only* logical reason I can fathom that the Falcons picked Penix is that they're incredibly scared of what the penalty will be for tampering with Cousins. Well, that or they think that Cousins is going to turn things around so fast that they won't be in good drafting position for a while so they're grabbing their QB of the future now.
Of course, that's assuming that they're not just, you know, stupid.
weird idea: they're using him as leverage for if a team becomes desperate in the next 1-2 years, they have a promising young quarterback who they kinda don't need that they can trade away for more draft capital. Maybe Bryce Young doesn't pan out and the Panthers are desperate and there's no one good in the draft, maybe Stafford gets old and starts breaking down and the Rams need someone who can ride the bench and start a few, either way the Falcons can be straight on the phone swindling them out of picks.
The falcons only need after the end of last season was QB. They were basically the 2019 Buccaneers. If Kirk performs they should be capable of making a deep playoff run. And with Kirks contract only being guaranteed for 2 years, Penix will sit and learn how to be a pro QB for 2 years to ensure he's ready and he will become their franchise QB for the next decade.
@@defeatstatistics7413makes sense, philly kind of did that.
@@defeatstatistics7413dude.. its like chiefs drafting mahomes, but then trading him to keep alex smith. Old and aging Alex smith.. thats not why he was drafted. He is being given the reins of the team, because Kirk aint our future. Our future happens to probably be the steal of the draft at QB
As a falcons fan, that’s definitely probably the reason why we did it.
Haha the dog in the McCarthy footage. It's like, "HUH??? Wh... what happened? What did I miss??? Why are all you people making so much noise??"
“Me? Are you cheering for me??”
Caleb Williams has to overcome two potent forces:
1. Becoming a good QB for the Bears, a team that hasn't developed a QB since Jay Cutler.
2. Becoming a QB from USC who actually performs in the pros.
it's amazing to think that all these years later and the greatest Bears QB of all time
is Jim Mcmahon .....
let that sink in
He also has to overcome being a soft little whiner who doesn't want to break his nails. Mitch Trubisky will look like Peyton Manning compared to this loser
Too bad. The homosexual will be too busy painting. His nails and having meltdowns in the stands in his mom's pants.

The Falcons made the Giants picking Daniel Jones look competent
At least QB was a need for the Giants then
@@DHVF28yes it was as a giant fan myself 😅
Why? Penix is MUCH more accomplished as a QB in college than Jones. He's not gonna run as much and get killed, either.
@@tonypapas9854 at least the giants needed a QB
the falcons didn’t
Trust me I like Penix but he shouldn’t have gone this high to the falcons of all teams
Sure as Hell doesn't make the Giants paying Daniel Jones look competent

Why waste 3 hours of boring “Deal or No Deal” drama when Tree informs and entertains the same information in less than 30 minutes?
Thank you, Tree! From a fan since 2017.
7:05 he wasn’t lying, Tree’s jaw was hanging open for 10 seconds straight in stock.
Also Love was pick 26, not 8 and he was projected around that area
Plus love was a much better prospect than penix
Doubt@@frisk9001
Most southern thing for Atlanta to have a Penix and Cousins in the same room.
Seeing Detroit full of fans from all over really makes me happy, honestly I couldn't believe that this year's draft broke the all time attendance record. Really makes me proud to be a Detroiter at times. Also Iove the Terrain Arnold pick
Arnold might be the best fit in the class. Easily top 5 imo
I’m from Detroit born and raised, and I’ll tell you, they wouldn’t even let some people in because it was at capacity all 3 days. If they had anticipated a bigger number than 750,000 and built around that. It could have easily been higher. They could have expanded so much deeper into the city. It was incredible
Shattered is a better word, Detroit shattered the record. So proud of Detroit, wish I could have been there to assist to that count but plane travel is expensive
95% front runners.
It was in Detroit lol. Of course Detroit fans were gonna be there lol.
“His Mac crashed and wasn’t able to be restarted.” Oh that’s wonderful.
Who else waiting for "Congrats Laughs 2024"?
I can honestly say that for once, the animation of Spongebob's "You what" was not just similar to IRL reactions but some people were so shocked their faces went past the animation's expressive look. That is impressive Atlanta.
Shout out to Detroit for hosting such an incredible draft
"Another David Tepper incident" Holy shit we really did expose that man

"The Deadly Combination of Gronkowski and Hernandez." Bravo!
Yea, was gonna comment that as well. Beautiful, simply... beautiful.
Penix seems more like a "I want this so no one else can" pick.
Especially with past rumors about the Raiders drafting him at #13
There were also rumors that the Saints were going to move up to grab him.
In magic the gathering, that's classic hate drafting.

18:49 ALSO = Detroit Lions 😜
To be fair on Belichick's criticism of Maye, coach was doing inside-baseball type critical film reviews of _all_ the first round picks, and specifically noted that all the QB's have something to work on. I think that people have taken his comments out of context a bit simply because of the past with the Pats, but the actual criticisms (and praise) he offered seemed pretty reasonable IMO.
Apparently, Arthur Blank was the one who wanted to draft Penix. I get that you don't want to have another Desmond Ridder situation since Taylor Heinicke is your backup or future when Cousins leaves. But you had 2 great edge rushers right there. You haven't had a decent edge rusher since John Abraham.
If this pick doesn't work out, Falcons fans may have to go the Washington route of demanding the owner to sell the team.
What the hell Falcons? You signed Kirk Cousins to a 4 year deal and now you draft Michael Penix Jr who wasn't going to get drafted until late first round?
they dont know you bro
Falcons just pulled a Cousins on Cousins 😂
@@ata.cordarrelle fish for attention in the real world lil bro
Penix may have went sooner than late in the 1st to the Broncos. They were desperate for a qb.
Its only a 2 year deal with options to extend after the second year. The only need the falcons had after the end of last season was QB. They were basically the 2019 Buccaneers. They secured their short term future with Kirk and their long term future with Penix.
A Jon Bois video AND a UrinatingTree video?? We're blessed today!!
The youtube gods shine down upon us with their sportsball blessings.
6:34 I’m beginning to think the curse of 28-3 runs deeper in the Falcons organization than we previously thought it did.
My Broncos’ draft was actually underrated. We got our QB, even if we got him a little high. But we also got gems in Troy Franklin, Jonah Elliss, and Audric Estimé. I’m actually optimistic that we won’t be hot garbage this year, but we’ll certainly be warm garbage
As long as nix is good next year I'm happy
I'm confident that we can achieve cool and mild garbage, at least until our playoff chances get our hopes up... again.
Hahaha
And don't look now but they just invited another quarterback to their rookie minicamp. He may or may not hold the NCAA record for most passing and total touchdowns at any level. Oh and he played his college ball 30 minutes from Mile High Stadium. No big deal.
Falcons fan here. Soon to be former Falcons fan here.
Odunze is THE stud WR that would have made any offense better. Pittsburgh OL got instantly better and it will make certain short QBs look really good.
"Move Broderick Jones to LT and Fautanu to LT"
Tree f'd up again 😂
11:28 is nobody gonna talk about the guy with Solitare clearly on his computer monitor?
pick was already in 😂
I’ve heard tree say “I’ll never complain about building from the trenches” like 4 years in a row
It constantly needs to be repeated, tbf.
We didn’t really build the trenches before 2023 most of those were later round o line picks that didn’t pan out
The Steelers did excellent
Yeeesss!!! The Haters guide for the draft is here. Football is BACK!
Calling Hernandez and Gronk a “deadly” combo, is the stuff I come here for. Thank you.
I love how Tree uses music from Star Fox and F-Zero. Man has taste!
As a Falcons fan I was just waiting for it.
This was a riot to watch in person. And the cherry on top is being home and hearing Tree take cracks at it.

A pair so deadly they’ve actually killed people
Patiently waiting for a new Toronto Maple Leafs video 😂😂
Tree always brings the good tunes with his videos.
Glad to see Detroit showed up for the draft. Love my city, man
Atlanta had Penix as their #2 player behind Williams. To be a fly on the wall to learn how they came up with that conclusion
I like that you use Hotline Miami music whenever you talk about the Dolphins
I will never get tired of the Falcons constantly digging themselves into a hole.
My only hope for my Ravens in the draft was simply address the O-Line, a wide receiver or 2 & maybe some defensive replacements. Overall, I'm okay with how they did especially considering this team molds defensive players like clay
Never clicked on a video faster than this, been waiting for this gem all week
Ah looking forward to this!
At this point the Atlanta Falcons should rename they're team the Atlanta 28-3's
"Greatest QB in Bears history."
That's a low bar.
Tony Kahn may go down as a complete lolcow some day, but nobody could ever deny that man’s sheer commitment to the bit
Congrats tree, the Steelers had the consensus best draft among all experts pooled together. I'm excited for you
I love your idea of moving both Fautanu and Broderick to LT. Gotta protect that blindside
It could be revolutionary!
I think I fucked that up. I meant to put Fautanu at RT (Penix was a lefty, so he wasn't blindside as an LT at Washington).
Ik tree is having an amazing time making a reaction video to the shit that is the leafs😂😂
Was waiting for this
WELL…. Were WAITING. GIVE US THE CONGRATS LEAFS VIDEO!
As a panthers fan, I only watched this draft being a hater. Seeing penix go to Atlanta was so worth it
The Falcons forgot that you never share your Penix with your Cousins.
Marvin Harrison Jr is the best WR prospect I've seen since Julio Jones

Jesus Christ that was 7years ago.......
Tree you are so real for the JPJ comment. Knowing my history with questioning our picks tho, Barton could be an All-Pro Lmao. Licht loves trolling us
I have a feeling this draft is gonna change the value on drafting quarterbacks early without at least letting them sit a year.
I feel like maybe 1 is gonna be worth the pick.
The rest are gonna be terrible or just mid.
I’m still figuring out why the Bills would trade down with the Chiefs out of all teams when they could’ve had a talented WR in Xavier Worthy which led to KC getting him. Guess they never learn when they make a draft pick trade with them
Excellent vid as always tree. Brock Bowers sister now has my heart.
I love your occasional use of the F Zero GX track themes
Some of these haircuts are hilarious 😂
Here's to another successful draft tree and all NFL fans...
Except the Falcons... Damn that's rough 😂
Tree’s voice is only matched by his insight, both exceptional.

It's HERE! Now we wait another 4 months for football to start. Honestly, our draft went well, it was very Sean Payton, and Nix seems like the right fit
May these players have success and minimal off the field issues.
And bless the knees.
As a Chicagoan I must disagree with Tree. We are unable to do cartwheels due to obesity from Italian Beefs.
Loves u, Tree
Right. Denver is coping, but the Steelers with two QBs who can't throw for a combined 4000 yards are Super Bowl bound lol

I didnt get to watch this year, so tree is how I get to speedrun the draft
"It's about the Process, not the Program." Well, yes and no. Both Kyle Boller (2003 bust) and Aaron Rodgers were Jeff Tedford Cal guys (One of the reasons for Rodgers' slide). However look at Jimbo Fisher guys Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel and Kellen Mond (a 3rd round pick but ONE career NFL game 3 years in and a fringe roster guy now). Will Drake Maye break the Curse of Mack Brown? Maybe, but I'm not expecting a CJ Stroud-esque turnaround myself
The NFL needs to plan better. I saw thousands of people that couldn't enter due to maximum capacity.
They probably weren't expecting this draft to draw record-setting attendance. I mean, it was in Detroit of all cities, and they've only just found relevance again.
@@BAMFshee yea that's the thing the NFL should have foreseen this
Detroit is relevant again for the first time since Barry Sanders
I don’t think anyone was expecting the draft to shatter the previous attendance record by almost 200k brother
@@kurtpunchesthings2411no way the nfl can expect attendance to be record breaking by 250k almost 1M people showed up 😂 if the lions win a superbowl and the parade is prepped for 1.5M and 3M ppl show up can’t just say the city needs to plan better lmao
