people keep acting like the 2011 packers defense was SO much worse but lets be real the most important statistic when it comes to ranking defenses is how many PPG do you give up and how many turnovers can you get. The 2011 packers had 31 interceptions leading the league, and 22.1 OPPG. The 2011 Saints were tied for 2nd lowest ints in the league with only 9 the whole season, and gave up 21OPPG, only slightly better than the packers. Good list but I do have to disagree with the Broncos. Yeah, putting up 8 points in the SB was horrible, but they were not only playing a legendary defense in the 2013 Seahawks (to me, scoring 8 against them is similar to the Pats scoring 14 against the 2007 Giants), but also the fact that they made it to the SB should count for more than the teams on this list that didn’t make it at all, in my opinion. But like you say, it’s your video and you’re a hero
I'll always wonder what the 2013 Superbowl would have looked like for Denver if there hadn't been so many injuries. If you look at the list, it's depressing. I'm not saying that the Broncos would have necessarily won, but when you have arguably a top 5 cornerback in Chris Harris plus a future first ballot hall of famer in Von Miller out as just the start, it definitely changed things.
Little did childhood me realize that the 1998 Vikings would set the tone for a lifetime of Minnesota sports disappointment. I’m turning 30 this year and have yet to see even one of our major sports teams play in a championship game.
Barry I have a video idea. Do the worst people/future or previous criminals to win the Walter Payton award. Like an example is Myles garret winning it despite almost beheading a man on the field 2-3 years prior.
I don't care about stats. True greatness lies in being able to inflict your will on the other team, even doing things they KNOW are coming. A good example would be the '73 Dolphins in the AFC Championship Game running the ball for around 300 yards against a tough Raiders defense....when everybody in the league knew that running was what Miami was all ABOUT. By that standard, I'd say the Broncos under Shanahan were the best offense I've seen. I've never seen any team who would consistently win in such a highly mechanized fashion. They didn't have blazing speed on the outside...but the system was so brilliantly conceived, and so masterfully executed, that the results wound up being as good as anyone. They could run the ball during those years as well as anybody in the league with Davis. Elway had a strong, diverse group of targets to throw to. The line was the best in the business. Elway himself admitted that, as the offense really began to take off in Shanahan's second season, the real challenge was simply deciding HOW they wanted to proceed. Pretty much everything worked. It would have been fun to have seen this offense if they had had this in place when Elway was still in his physical prime.
Washington guy here Joe Gibbs team put up 35 points in the second of the Superbowl 87. That 91 team was bad neither at 14 - 2 two losses by 5 points . Since we talking all time offenses .
As a Packers fan, a few things. First, I'll concede the 2011 Saints offense was more balanced than the 2011 Packers offense was in terms of both run and pass. But the Packers had the highest scoring offense that year. (560 for GB and 547 for NO). So, I can't say the Saints deserved that spot above GB. Second, I'll also say this, too. Aaron Rodgers, rightfully, deserved NFL MVP that year. He threw 45 TDs (in 15 games where Brees had one more game to get to 46 where if Rodgers had played the same amount, it's plausible to believe he could have still ended up with more, anyway), only 6 INTs, and got his team 14 of the 15 wins that season (where he didn't play that last game of the year because they had the 1 seed locked up). And he did it with no help from his run game or from the arguably worst defense in league history. It all rode on his back. Brees had a good run game and defense (top--half at 13'th compared to GB's 31'st) and still finished with 2 fewer wins. Rodgers was superman. But again, I concede, the Saints offense better balanced but it wasn't the best that year because, again, GB finished higher in PPG. I disagree with this ranking but just that part. If 2011 NO got a spot, at the very least, GB, the team that had the best scoring offense and the league MVP on said offense, deserved #10. And that's still too low.
Barry, you completely dropped the ball leaving off the '91 Buffalo Bills. They had an actual attack of passing and running. Back when an offense was supposed to be a complete package.
2013 Broncos weren't "one of" the greatest offenses of all time. It was and is the greatest offense in NFL history. They just happened to go up against the best defence in the history of the league as well.
And had the 2018 chiefs played that seahawks squad, they’re dropping 40 plus on that secondary. No defense could legitmatly stop that squad for an entire game, compared to the 2013 broncos that stalled out on multiple games during that season

Didn’t those two play a close game in 2014?
Little did childhood me realize that the 1998 Vikings would set the tone for a lifetime of Minnesota sports disappointment. I’m turning 30 this year and have yet to see even one of our major sports teams play in a championship game.
Barry I have a video idea. Do the worst people/future or previous criminals to win the Walter Payton award. Like an example is Myles garret winning it despite almost beheading a man on the field 2-3 years prior.
I'll add another honorable mention for the 1991 Washington Redskins
The fact that the 1950s Rams made the list despite not playing the 'Offense First' league is a weird statistical thing when you think about it.
Over 38 points per game in the 50s is insane
2018 chiefs was crazy man
Now do top 10 special teams units
I can't believe the 2006 Raiders didn't make the list.
The 1989 49ers should be on this list
Do top ten team that were just barely not good enough to be on any top ten all time list.
As a broncos & game of thrones fan. The script was our ultimate demiseX)
Washington guy here Joe Gibbs team put up 35 points in the second of the Superbowl 87. That 91 team was bad neither at 14 - 2 two losses by 5 points . Since we talking all time offenses .
There’s also 83 who played poorly offensively in the Super Bowl but had an excellent regular season.
I love you Barry but the 2011 packers not being on here is a crime
Atlanta making a top 10 list
Drew Brees is the unluckiest player in NFL history.
Wes welker played with Peyton manning and Tom Brady but never won a ring
Can you do best playoff matches we never got
2013 Broncos weren't "one of" the greatest offenses of all time. It was and is the greatest offense in NFL history. They just happened to go up against the best defence in the history of the league as well.
And had the 2018 chiefs played that seahawks squad, they’re dropping 40 plus on that secondary. No defense could legitmatly stop that squad for an entire game, compared to the 2013 broncos that stalled out on multiple games during that season
@@SycoticForeverNeverAF The struggling 2018 Pats shut them out in the first half at home in the AFC title game. The Legion Of Boom would DEMOLISH them.
