Thank you for this video. A comparison of photochromic lenses accross brands could be useful too ! I tend to remove my glasses shortly when I enter an establishment because I feel it rude to have any tint on when inside. So a very short time from dark to clear is very important to me, but I do not think the technology is there yet.
What an incredible video! It's so impressive to see not only the quality of the content but also how amazing the client looks in all of his glasses… each pair is a perfect fit, truly highlighting his style and personality. It's also inspiring to see how your company is involved in CSR projects, showing that it's not just about profit but a genuine commitment to making a positive impact globally. A great combination of style, substance, and social responsibility! Well done Robert! 👏
Neochromes by IOT are fantastic photochromic lenses available in Grey or Brown. This is a relatively new venture for IOT so colours like purple and pink are not in their repertoire as of yet. Let us know who actually makes them when you find out please.
@@thespectaclefactory A lot of people, even those in this profession, are not aware of how IOT designs are different in this respect. You should dedicate an epsiode or two to them
@@erfanebrahimi9983 not at all. Initially I was miffed that IOT rolled out new colours I wasn't aware of as a dispenser. The way it was worded, made it sound as if it were a Neochrome product. A quick google of IOT affiliated labs in the UK led me to the lab and another quick google led me to the source of the blanks. I've passed along the info to our lab's manager. IOT designs on any blank a lab wants to use. They've singlehandedly saved independent labs here in North America. Best.
They are all titanium, but yeah there's a gold plated version as well as the white gold one I'm wearing, as well as a darker gun colour and a black version too.
You could make them darker with a flash coating, but as mentioned in our previous video in Africa, photochromic lenses don't go so dark in hot weather: ua-cam.com/video/oKfIhUrOGBs/v-deo.htmlsi=-mC-LsiVsZBZ_VVr
I live in a Mediterranean country and own two pairs of Zeiss photofusion X, Pioneer Green and Blue. Honestly, they're unusable in summer heat. They do darken, but just very slightly so, a bit more than a 20% cosmetic tint. Of course, during autumn and especially sunny winter day they go full blast, but that's not when I need that much protection anyway. Adaptive sun might be a better choice for warmer climates.
The Ahlems and Chopards are probably the best glasses shown here. After all, if you're going to wear glasses, you might as well wear bolder frames! These frames and tinted lenses aren't strictly office-kosher but you could definitely get away with wearing them in the office if you own a small business and/or work in a creative field.
Great video! I was wondering what the advantage of having photochromic glasses is considering that Zeiss clear lenses already block the full UV spectrum. Is it just the tint aesthetic?
Not at all... they DON'T block UV to the maximum level for a start (neither do PhotoFusion lenses, which is why separate sunglasses are still recommended) but also, the tint makes your eyes far more comfortable in bright light.

That's coming... eventually!
This esmont frame is one of the best looking frames i've ever seen. Just loved it !
Couldn't agree more!

You're too kind. Thank you x
A fantastic video Robert. Love the color on the purple IOT photochromics. I've got the perfect pair of frames for them!
I'm sure you have!
Great video and lovely to see you visiting where I grew up ❤. I hope had a fab experience in Abuja. 😊
I always do! Might move there one day
Hi Robert. Could you tell me if zeiss adaptive sun lenses change in a shady area or under an umbrella?
Exposure to UV will make the Adaptive Sun lenses tint darker than their base colour - if you have UV, you've got darker lenses 😊
Much respect with you spending time with the kids at the orphanage 👍
Wish I could have stayed longer. I sent them some stuff for Christmas today though now that I'm back

It's an IOT lens design. The colours are proprietary

Are you asking about labs that make lenses with Neochrome SF (we are one ;)? Or where the SF itself is made?

Hi . I'm just wondering if getting lens that block blue light is worth it ?
You forgot that Zeiss now offer a black photofusion x tint
These frames come in gold or a Titanium? Thanks and cheers

Still like my optiswiss photochromatics . Thanks for the post.
Very nice frames. I would love to visit Nigeria. Thanks for a good video.
You should! thanks for watching
Good lenses. Great ending and message 🙏🏼
Thanks 🙏
Great fit for your client on all three frames
He looked so classy IMO
Only 14 hours for the flight. I’ll be impressed when you do the drop off in Australia 😉
One day soon 😅
Interesting look, not enough dark.

Awesome!
Thanks!
Ahlem model???
There are two, and they appear on screen
Exposed to the sun or exposed to UV?
Where does UV come from?
If you’re making a video on sunglasses you need to use a ND filter on your lens.
