Any suggestions for part 6?
Drivers winning in multiple series
Noah Gragson climbing on top of Kevin Harvick at Bristol dirt
In the 2008 Ford 400, Kurt Busch brought out the caution on Lap 151 after brushing the wall a few times. He proceeded to pit and get four penalties in a single visit to pit road:
- Entered pit road while it was closed
- Too fast entering
- Too fast exiting
- Commitment cone violation
Dale Jr.’s tire explosion at Talladega in 2008 that blew off the whole back of the car
Kentucky Car on fire in the parking lot if you haven’t yet
8:34 man that text at the bottom announcing Senna's death just makes me sad
Horrible weekend in motorsport
Roland Ratzerberger had died in the practice for that race as well. There wouldn't be another death in F1 until Jules Bianchi at the Japanese Grand Prix (he went into a coma from which he never recovered).
And at Talladega on that weekend, Bob Jenkins was livid about people throwing beer cans on the track while they were doing a tribute pace lap in memory of Senna. That's Talladega: the most literal or all NASCAR crowds.
That truck incident at Bristol dirt was the oddest thing I’ve ever seen.
I saw it in person
@@RustyMitts yea I did too
@@RustyMitts I saw it too, on my couch with the AC.
That's the stuff you'd see at demolition derbys
@@drogonight5672 your right
8:37 look at the espn bar 😞 what a legend
RIP
First thing I noticed…
10:07 and that’s why we should just have victory lane interviews!
Yes I agree
Not happening. They're too busy trying to capture the emotion of the winner in the moment of victory: just like "any other sport."
First thing that popped in my mind after seeing that: "Ten points to Gryffindor!"
love how even then he's still like "Awesome crowd"
@@andyhayner8502 Funny how decades of emotion in victory lane have gotten passed up for these emotionless interviews at start/finish
2:57 if you had just let that clip run a little longer, when Reid says “how can you be sure?” Rusty immediately comes back with “binoculars!” 😂
I was dying laughing last Sunday when Erik Jones' pit crew tried to get the right rear tire off, but it couldn't come off
I was waiting for the acetylene to be pulled. Can't be tight if it's liquid....
@@cementer4life they were literally pushing it down to tighten it while trying to get it off 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ smh
@@anthonyhowes8125 the right sides are left hand threaded.
The Merecdes F1 team should be taking notes on that, given that it took them 43 hours to take off Valtteri Bottas's right front during/after the Monaco Grand Prix last year.
@@cementer4life Ricky knows what he's talking about
8:34 The most tragic motorsport related message on screen right there.
The bumper lock lmaoooo i was watching that race absolutely hilarious.
8:36 Damn. Bulletin at the bottom talking about Senna dying
that last one a sign to nascar we need victory lane celebrations back not front stretch interviews anymore in my opinion
6:22 I love how you can just see the roller coaster going in the background
That first race shown was actually the first time in NCWTS history that every driver finished the race.
I did not realize it was *THAT* race where the "Race Idiot" quote originated.
They did more damage pulling the trucks apart.
Kinda hard to pull them apart the same way they stuck together
6:37 The fact that I attended that race. I flew all the way from California
10:08 i like how everybody in the grandstands is understandbly mad that they threw a bottle at him
As an f1 fan I find it so good that nascar still carr about sienna's crash and everyone around the world
I just knew that #43 lug nut madness would make this video.
Am i stupid, or were they tightening it with the breaker bar?
@@aaronlongnickel5733 The right side lug nuts are reverse thread.
2011 plate tracks-Tandem Racing
2022 Dirt Bristol Race- tandem racing
That ESPN clip, the old one with Bodine; interesting to see, at the bottom it mentions Senna's death was that day.
Bob Jenkins also mentions it in his commentary during that clip
Unusual things in NASCAR can come out of nowhere. When they absolutely at least didn't expect it.
0:08
Bro invented bristol superspeedway racing 💀💀💀
3:00 They might want to try going the other way if they want to get it off... 😳
That’s the comment I was looking for
It might be reverse threaded.
2:59 - Looks to me like they're TIGHTENING the nut.
8:35 rest in peace to artyon senna may u rest in peace
Back when wheels falling off was unusual. Now it’s so common with the single lug
How many wheels have fallen off so far this year?
John hunter took that side chill also wish he would've said nice throw
I’d be concerned that the “fans” wouldn’t catch the sarcasm and think he was actually encouraging it.
3:00 NASCAR literally said they have the newest and best tires ever
Goodyear needs to go
You could make another entire video just from last night's All-Star race.
The trucks liked each other so much they just didn't want to let go
Erik Jones was probably asleep by the time they got the tire off
7:54 the roof flat with the new gen is gonna get somebody hurt
Imma throw muh beer at this rookie... Hold muh other beer
they were turning the breaker bar clockwise...
3:17 cross threads are better than no threads right?! 🤜🤛👍🙋🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️🌿
Kurt said he's never seen two cars stuck, even though he himself got his car stuck to Kevin Harvick's car
When was this?
He also got "stuck" to Ricky craven
@@jbaskinger41 2017 New Hampshire
To be fair, he's never SEEN it, only had it happen to him. He probably thought afterwards (After the Bristol race) when he remembered the New Hampshire wreck "So that's how stupid it looked"
1:38 "Watch the left rear tyre on the '39'". It's the wheel. The tyre is still attached.
Love it!
Is it just me? Has "NASCAR" got reverse lug nuts? "Righty tighty, lefty loosy" is what I was always taught! Aren't those two guys bouncing on that breaker bar TIGHTENING that lug nut?!?
Just how freaking dumb do you think these guys are?! Weeks, months of practice and you actually think three or more guys are TIGHTENING that nut? Right side LEFT hand thread…. Sheeesh
CHICAGO REPO LIMITED - repo that car - bonus, obviously.
That lug deal on the 43 was absolute BS
BS? How?
@@jbaskinger41
The old traditional lugs would not have stuck like that
Do those single lugs actually thread backwards? Not righty tighty, lefty loosey?
@@grrob51 I was wondering the same thing. Looked like they were trying to tighten it, but then again if that thing is 350ft lbs, I am not sure how much additional tightening he would have been doing even with that long of a breaker bar.
@@grrob51 Each side of the car has opposite threads, I think the right side has reverse threads.
Normally in racing you have a breaker tool, like a chisel that you can fit over the nut and hit with a hammer until it splits.
Valtteri Bottas last year olso had problem with taking off wheel durning pitstop
10:07 That beer can Hitting JHN's hood sounds like the fall damage noise in Minecraft?
all thats missing is the “oof” sounds
watched back and now i get it
01:44 But if close your eyes!
8 years later Ryan Sieg crashes at Texas
RIP senna btw
3:18 proof that nascar going single lug was a dumb idea
RIP Senna
3:00 wouldn't have happened if they used STOCK PARTS
I don't know why Jamie Mac was surprised that Mike Joy knows that Porsches come with a tool to remove a center lock lug
what is that road course where dufault went back onto the track in front of the other cars called? I don't know what it is.
8:35 :(
At 3:20ish.....are Nascar lugs left hand thread? Because if those are standard threads those guys are morons, they were tightening the lugs, not loosening them
I was thinking they were going the wrong way when I was actually watching the race.
The right side wheel lug nuts actually do have left hand threads. They do that so the wheel motion helps keep them on tight (unless you just fail to get the lug nut tight enough initially).
@@D2RCR you know that for sure? Seems odd but makes sense I guess
@@Nick-dd2xg I found that out after doing some Googling, it seems to be commonplace with single lugs.
@@D2RCR see I didn't even pay enough attention to realize it was a single lug, durr
6:23 You can see the furthest car back is an old chevy, possibly a car of tomorrow. If anyone knows who the driver is or what team that car is, I'm itching to know
When did NASCAR switch to a single lug on the tires? man I've been out of it. lol
This year with the new car
When you're ro-racing, and you're bumper locked: 0:00
Too bad Jeremy Clements has zero luck at Daytona...
Wow day of Senna's death Earnhart was leading crazy world
He actually won that race
3:07 uhhh, if I remember, you have to go counterclockwise if you're going to remove a nut off of a stud with a breaker bar.
Ikr
It's reverse thread.
Left hand thread
So why were those bushes on fire?
I actually couldn’t find out.
If I remember correctly which I might not, it was a BBQ that went ari.
beer
So how much time did the 43 spend in the pits because of that stuck nut?
As I watch this video, Kaz Grala just had his hood fly up on him during Coke 600 practice…
New addition for part 6!
Switching to the one lug was a dumb move, they still call em stock cars right?
They lost the stock car name when NASCAR entered the modern era in 1972
I miss Bestwick in the booth
Watch SRX. It’s a great refresher
3:30 looks like they are tightening it. Righty tighty, lefty loosey. Either this video is flipped or these guys overlooked the easiest thing to a mechanic.
The wheels on the right side of the car loosen turning clockwise, on the left side of the car they loosen anticlockwise. They're not road wheels.
At 6:05 all I can say is, what the fuck are you doing!!!
What was that that got thrown at jhn anyway
Beer can
Someone on Twitter froze the video at the right time and it sure looked like a Rowdy Energy. Ironic
Should they not turn the nut the other way if they want to get the weel off??
They were trying
As I recall, it was you who last put the oil in the car.
If you’re saying I used the wrong oil, you’re wrong. Besides, oil would have nothing to do with this type of accident.
True. But it’s pretty hard to latch the hood when you leave the oil can in!
Mine is 250 ft pounds pretty sure thats the norm
Rubbing is racing and cans on the track is just an accepted part of a fan made obstacle course 😂
The Eric Jones incident with the lug that wouldn't come off, isn't it right tighty lefty loosey? Because they were pushing down on the breaker bar. That would have been tightening it. 🤦♂️
I think it is reverse thread because of direction of wheel rotation.
@@greghanson5696- yes, exactly.
Earnhardt deserves getting stuff thrown at him. But not during the race.
If this video was made 8 days ago, where's "lets go Brandon" 😁
Oh no, Billy Bob needs to pee better throw a caution. Such BS. "How do you know for sure?" If a little wind moves it, its' paper. The female driver doesn't know how to spin the wheels to turn around. 🤦♂️
This is what happens with18 in wheels and one center lug nut,Nascar and their dumbass decisions trying to make the car more liny Indy and F1 racing is the dumbest thing in motor sports history.Nascar has all but destroyed its own sport.
Brandon brown chant that got him canceled for reason that a moment that should be in here
Brandon Brown isn't cancelled, a lot of lefty NASCAR fans still like him.
I mean like Twitter people pre Elon cancelled him since the lgb chant became a thing
Brandon didn’t get cancelled. His career became a joke though
No one canceled him. People actually felt bad for him and still supported him.

@3:05 Are lug threads reversed? Lefty loosey guys....
comparing Senna's deadly crash and a beer can thrown in front of a cup car, shows how much "race fans" and the announcers here, have no clue on how different F1 is from the WWE of auto racing, plus it's funny as hell.
Did they only have one wrecker at the dirtrace? Why try scissor them and make it worse instead of pulling them apart with two wreckers? Oh wait...nevermind...america 🤣 these new cars a joke and the wheels/tyres are always failing 🤣 why are the announcers surprised americans are throwing things on the track? Lmao 🤣
It’s not that deep
