It's so random every year because of the big wrecks it's just stupid. The stages are stupid as well. I'm 66 and was a huge fan in the 60's up until about 20 years ago. Just watched the highlights to see the ending. Same thing almost every year. This really is unwatchable. Sorry folks.

The guy speaking in the first 15 seconds is a professional wrestler-entertainer, not a normal person. His speaking style is part of the public character. It's meant to be 'extra'..

That was all on Byron. Chastain had way too much speed to try and block him. Whether he tried to lift or go around Byron, he was screwed either way.

Very good 500 probably the best since 2021
All three races so far had a field destroying wreck in the last few laps , why would the cup race be any different

They let fans in that had to tickets to either weekend race. Two races for the price of one.
@@centralfloridachrysler3766not true they didn’t let people in who had xfinity tickets. You had to have 500 tickets to get in to 500 but if you had tickets for 500 you could stay for xfinity.
What a great race. Disappointed it ended under yellow though. And to anyone saying Bowman was robbed, NASCAR said they hoped Chastain and Cindric would stay in the grass but when they came back up the track they had to throw the yellow. Byron was barely ahead of Bowman at the moment the button was pressed.
He did get robbed, look at the caution lights ahead of bowman on his in car camera
They are teammates to give you a hint, it doesnt matter which teammate won.

Had a great time at the 500 this year. The race seamed a little choppy due to the fuel strategy all race. But all in all. It was a great time!
My favourite part is when they all decided to go left at the exact same time. That was awesome!

I think saying the 24 won because he was the first to the line is stupid. Rule has always been whoever was leading at the time the caution was waved
Blocking always causes wrecks on the super speedways , these cars are unstable around each other as it is with these speeds not to mention drafting . Thankful for replays because I couldn’t watch the entire race , stage racing sucks . I think they could still award driver points but restarting everyone makes it a new race in my opinion . Oh well NAPCAR ( I nap every race) seems to think stages are cool !!!
I love putting on a nascar race and falling asleep halfway thru. I’m the UA-cam vids when they go to commercial and cut the commentary and it’s just the sound of the cars it’s like a lullaby!

The crashing needs to stop at some point makes no sense to build a car to compete if crashing is the determining factor of the winner. Not the car, driver or track plays into winning anymore no offense
Wow, what an exciting race! Logano gave it his all on the Daytona circuit, once again proving to be an extraordinary driver. Despite adverse weather conditions and unexpected obstacles along the way, he managed to stay in the lead until the final lap. His determination and driving skills were truly impressive. Congratulations to Logano for this incredible performance in the Daytona 500! I can't wait to see him in action in the upcoming races. Go Logano!
I have followed NASCAR since Petty won the ‘64 Daytona 500 in that great hemi Plymouth. But my interest has flagged quite a bit in recent years. Part is age, I guess, but part is just not liking multimillion dollar demolition derby.

Absolutely 💯. Bowman could see Kaz. When they are staggered like that, right in line with Kaz and the car in-between them at their quarters, he wrecked them on purpose.

William Byron literally caused 2 wrecks and then Cindric flat took out the best car in the 500 and that was Chastain weather ya like him or hate him he had the best car and should've won

That race is a shell of itself from days gone by . NASCAR is on a downhill slide.
Some of the drivers are barely old enough to drive.

It's not that bad, it all boils down to if the 1.5 are any good. Let's remember over the past few decades, those are a grind and extremely boring and hard to pass except for on newer paved tracks. Your driver retires and you think NASCAR is junk now. There were tons of snooze fests back in the day. A real fan enjoys the strategy, mid-pack passes, and drama. I'd say there is less talent for sure, but since the new car was introducted last year I sure enjoyed the playing field being more leveled. You're not that far away from JJ dominating forever and now you have tons of new winners and exciting races. Granted, I'd get rid of some of the new ones already like Bristol Dirt.

@@vidmasterK1When they courted Toyota, who had to build a special pushrod engine for NASCAR, and told Dodge to take a hike when they wanted to update their engine that was it for me. Now they are courting Honda, who also doesn't have a pushrod engine, or a V8. It's nothing more than a glorified IROC "race".

Such a great 199 laps. Wet blanket finish but I don't blame NASCAR at all for throwing the yellow as they did, Chastain and Cindric didn't start going back up the track until after the white was waved. Nobody's hurt and that's what's most important.

Yeah, it definitely felt like the caution was delayed. Probably for the best though. This current era of super speedway racing probably ends up with maybe 10 cars left finishing after 3+ attempts. 🤦♂️
