Well, you either like the Flyte or you don’t. Eastwood’s reproduction was very faithful to the original design by Burns, and that design came from a time when people in the UK were not playing the guitar all that much up at the 22nd fret. 😄
I just got an Yngwie signature Strat… absolutely love the guitar and figured I’d just have to learn to navigate that darn volume knob, and you know what? I’m getting there ;-) it’s not so bad after a while.
I’m with you man, I’m selling off more today… I won’t say there’s nothing better, but will say there are few guitars that are better or more fun to play than the Wolfgang Standards. Maybe next year they’ll have some better finishes, this year sucked imo. I do like the Charvels and am about to jump on a Larry Carlton Les Paul copy… nice features.
I’m sure it does, Eastwood has some really great looking guitars… not a cookie cut axe in sight! Great craftsmanship too, I’m just forever in the Wolfgang tank.
I have a Wolfgang guitar too. It's a Wolfgang Special, I think it's called the ivory color. I wanted the polar white, but it was sold out at the time. It is the first guitar I bought when I started playing again. It's an excellent guitar. @@oldguyjammin9732

Thoughtful review, thanks for sharing.
That's the pro and con to Eastwood. They are VERY faithful to the original designs, even some of the more unpleasant features lol
I hear you on the volume knob location. I can't play strats with the knob in its traditional place, it just bothers me too much.

Opening on the Wolfgang was stellar ….very cool
that one's called "Notes from the Tumbler" :-)
I always go back to the Wolfgang as well - all 3 makers. Perfect combo of super strat and LP

The Eastwood SX800B 2018 guitar is pretty cool. It has all the access you need !!!
