Why would you mislead the public. I have replaced these headlights. There is no way to remove these headlights that easy. If it were you would not have skipped on your DIY Video. Please do it the correct way and remove all parts to need to be removed. Because of the corner sticking out on the Quarter panel so far you cannot slip the headlight straight out.

They always make things more complicated so more people end up bringing their vehicles into a shop for the simplest things, such as a light bulb. I'm surprised the engineers didn't design this headlight assembly to need a special removal tool!
These ones are easy compared to many. Try removing the entire bumper to get to a headlight...

Absolutely RIDICULOUS that anyone has to do all that to swap ANY lamp. WTF is wrong with engineers these days? (Yeah, none of them ever actually fixed a damn thing. They just design on a computer, with little to no practical experience.)

Very good video. I ordered new headlights for my 2009 Tahoe and this helped a lot. Thanks so much. Remove the wheel well cover and Move the side of the bumper away first and the bolt is easier to access.

This is what I would do if I was changing the whole housing not just the bulbs. I changed the bulbs without doing any any of this yesterday. Two screws pop the new bulbs and you’re good to go.

So, is it possible to change the headlight without detaching the bumper facia? I have a black trim piece that crosses the seam.

2011 Chevy Tahoe owner. seem to be a good video but I've never gotten one out that easy even with taking the lower Grill / bumper screw out. Ben sielaff 08 Chevy Suburban headlight replacement shows a little bit more detail on wiggling out the headlight

You need to purchase bulbs the ones are testers only thats around another $100 give or take depending on the quality of bulbs you want .

I have to change bulbs on our 2014 Suburban, I thought it would just be the two bolts. This is rediculous, why do engineers do this? Thank you for explanation.

There’s a 10mm bolt holding the bumper in place that you didn’t mention needs to be removed

He showed the slotted tab on the bottom of the headlight period but there's another bumper screw on a bracket underneath front end on both sides. This will make it easier to move the bumper away clearance for this what I found is a difficult task just to change a bulb
This is the reason people buy cars other than GM. Look at 2010+ Volvo as an example-- you can pull two metal bands up and the light comes out. GM, if you want business, you need to design for simplicity, not complexity. People should be able to do this simple things at home.
I have a 02 suburban and it’s the same process, just two metal rods. I really don’t know why they get more complicated as they go

I mean you changing lightbulbs why does it have to be that difficult all they had to do is put an access panel to the lightbulbs inside the engine compartment why is that so hard

Techno-mage yeah I can’t understand why it was designed in that way... This is the reason why many people didn’t want to touch my 2008 Tahoe here in Dominican Republic because they said that it is too much work ..

You guys need to keep the video's rolling in the hard parts. Not skip it and have the light moved past the hard part. People need to see the struggle spots man. Otherwise why show it? Just explain it.
Not sure why some people are crying claiming its difficult. They should stick to lincoln logs or legos
