I am 62 now in 2024 .This was my very first tape ever purchased . I was 14 . summer 1976 . I am still l feeling alive with Jeff’s music and so many many people,old and young , we are all in true delight listening to this masterpiece ,❤❤❤❤isn’t it? What a blast! 😊Thank you Jeff!!!

I remember seeing Jeff and ELO do this same song 40 years ago mid 1970's in Louisville Kentucky , the violinist then was a guy with long black hair, he had a bright blue violin.
Was an unforgettable concert and stage. Jeff Lynne is something special
That guy with the blue violin is Mik Kaminsky
Mick Kaminski also (if my old memory serves me well,) had a record of his own released in the 70`s. I believe it was called Violinski and it was played on that blue electric violin.

This is by far the best band to do it. Not just here and there, but the root of it all. Jeff, is a genius ! Add the Traveling Wilberrys to his resume and you can't deny he is legendary.

Not to take away anything from any of the super talented, and breath taking talents involved here in this, once in a lifetime preformances by ELO and, this preformances by the extraordinarily gifted musicians, with much praise to the stringed instruments using a bow... OMG! This is as good as it gets, as far as I'm concerned! Orchestra in concert with perfection.
Where did all the 1979's talented artist go? They are few and far between nowadays! God bless their souls for bringing the best music in the a history of ALL times. I guarntee ~
Love it, and glad I was there to be a part of it... even tho, just a fan... it will always be a part of our lives... at least those of us that appreciated what the music of our times did for all of us, and the world....

It's rare to hear a band playing live and sound as though you're playing the highest quality CD etc. Absolutely brilliant.

I can't believe right at the end Jeff says "Thank you very much, lovely " no. Thank you for this performance, is amazing.
I would pay premium ticket price to sit in the front row looking at Rosie..the music is a bonus!
Jeff's voice is timeless. What a unique and unbelievably good sounding set of pipes on him.
Jeff sure gets some beautiful and talented women to join his band/orchestra! All three of the strings and the female backup vocalist are good looking and with much musical skill. Their addition makes for some great sounds being produced. I've loved ELO since the late 1970's when I first heard them. If CD's can be worn out ELO's Greatest Hits will be one of the first to go.
Jeff always understood the power of the visuals that made more people 'see' and hear his amazing music.
But i'm not a fan of having the front row of the audience some 90 feet from the stage 1:54.

Just saw a commercial for a car, I think, and this song was featured. Always loved this ELO Livin' Thing song from the Seventies. Found this most recent performance at Glastonbury 2016 by ELO with The Langley Sisters Rosie and Amy and Amy studied at the reputable Chetham's School of Music at Manchester. It is great the ELO can have these beautiful sisters on their team.

Such a beautiful song! I loved Jeff and ELO from the first time I heard them. His songs, arrangements, mixes, etc. speak to me. I only wish I could personally thank Jeff and ELO for the years of excellent music that stirs the emotions and evokes beautiful visions.

Jeff Lynne's a magnificent voice and his band, ELO had and has a unique sound. Incorporating rock and classical orchestra into a single sound. This is someone no one should ever forget. Without people like him the classic rock (true rock) Era would NOT exist!!!

OMG! Tell me, after watching this vid, and the AMAZING ELO, that you're not going to have a GREAT day. This was/is, one of my favorite songs of all time. Watching this vid, with Rosie right out there w/Jeff is, well, I'm all Ferklempt! So, this is how I begin my day: start the coffee maker, and put this puppy on the 60', full blast, @ 6:45am. My neighbor and I have an agreement. She's cool. Say's I'm her "alarm clock". NICE!!! THANK YOU for posting.
Caught them live in Dallas several months ago. All eyes, and do I mean all eyes, were on the big screen when Rosie stepped out front. Man she's a striking woman.

I did see Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra in New York 2016 Toronto in 2018 and 2019. They were voted the best live classic Rock Band in the world 🌎 and after seeing about more than 200 concerts in my life I totally agree. Let’s hope they tour one more time in 2022-2023. I will go wherever they play.🙏❤️👍

Jeff Lynne is the most talented Music God ever. He will be 71 in 2018 and his voice is Gold. All his live concerts sound as good if not better than the original recordings...Not many bands and musicians can match that. Just have a listen from Jeff Lynne's ELO at Wembley Stadium June 24 2017... Can't wait to see Jeff Lynne's ELO on the 2018 Europe and North American Tour.
Just bought the Wembley concert on Bluray. Watched it 3 times already. I'm no expert but starting from the very beginning with Standing in the rain... Jesuschrist Superstar!!! It must have been quite an experience from the fans there listening to all this wonderfully written music. Everything is perfect and cellos and violin... how could he mix all this to invent such a sound..

So bittersweet. My late husband’s favorite band of all time. We saw them live twice (in Denver and Atlanta) and I saw them in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 1978. Jeff Lynne is a legend.

It's tough for me to imagine.
I'm related to a big Hollywood Movie Star by marriage. She starred opposite Kevin Costner in Dances with Wolves and numerous other movies. I finally got to meet her at my Aunt's Funeral. It was a reckoning, I'll reckon. I suppose I would have the same effects meeting Rosie or Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star, and now, poor Dave Roback Is gone.
I remember meeting Whitney Houston in a 5 star Hotel in Orlando. I didn't recognize her and she pranked me. I think Stars enjoy being incognito at times.
Let's just hope she never decides to rule the world; we'd be putty in her hands.
