She is at the very least willfully ignorant since she refuses to listen and keeps her ego at the center. You can be insecure and also have a huge ego. The ones with the huge egos usually are the most insecure with the most to “prove.”
I’m inclined to believe any top leader is self-aware since they have to know how much they make on other people, and she even dropped 7 ranks, so she has to know that people under her won’t be better off.

@@Karen_of_Kanada While this is true that Canada does have 'free healthcare', this isn't the case for people that have to deal with diseases and conditions where they have to pay out of pocket for their treatments. My stepdad got sick recently with kidney disease, and insurance in Canada through his work only paid so much for the hospital stay before it had to come out of pocket. So Canadians do have to pay into insurance for their healthcare or even pay out of pocket for their healthcare needs.

We pay for it via taxes, and there are still huge gaps where something covered in hospital (like cancer meds) is NOT covered outside, and it creates a lot of financial stress. Fighting insurance companies is same all over, sadly. Still, if Dr. Dray here popped in to emerg, she would NOT have a charge associated with it. In fact, she could, in my opinion, save herself a lot of mental stress by GTFO of her pyramid scheme(s). Hope your stepdad is feeling better!

My cousin is a single mum living with her parents and has been sucked into several MLMs in her area for community, friendship and support. It makes me so sad because she pours so much energy into social media, promotion and really has very little to show for it. I've gently voiced my concerns about MLM but she drank the Koolaid. I've said I love her but don't want to support MLMs. She says I am not supporting her "business". I wish she's put the same energy into her education and trained for a career with a future.
I love how they never shut up about their "impact" and never tell you whether it's positive or negative. Like, the word "impact" means almost nothing on it's own. You can impact a heck of a lot of people negatively, babe.

The reason why they didn’t mention Monat in the zoom call is because they know that what they’re doing is highly illegal. So they’re trying to cover their assess, that way Monat won’t sue them. Too bad it won’t work.
I think they never even had to attempt to manipulate a mass exodus from Monat to iGenius. The three "leaders" who want to do this should have been testing it for months without bothering anyone with this idea, but they need their pyramid full for it to work out for them.
MLMs sue reps who switch companies and take other people with them. I can't believe they would open themselves up to that kind of legal trouble. I'm not saying it's right what the MLM companies do, but these are the people who defend and promote MLM. They should at least know better.

The problematic part isn't that they are leaving, or that they didn't tell their team, the problematic part is that they think they can bring anyone else with them. Nobody, especially in an MLM, is owed that another person stays. You are always allowed to leave and pursue something else. Upline or downline, it doesn't matter. But telling everyone else to ditch their investment in Monat and start from scratch with them, that's the sketchy part.
Yup, they just expect everyone to follow them like trained animals. I'm sure if someone wanted to stay because they liked Monat and their products, she'd use the fact that she stacked people under them as a way to guilt them into leaving with her. At one point one of them said they wanted to tell people about the opportunity more one on one because they know it's harder for people to say no to your face and they can lie to you and say everyone is excited. If everyone thinks everyone else is on board and excited, they will act the same way too regardless of how they actually feel. I wonder if those 70 people they got to before this blew up are still following them now that they know everyone is up in arms.
