I’ve been a part of Monat for almost a full 2 years. Loved it at first but 6 months in I started seeing a lot of red flags and people being treated poorly. I continued on and my Market Partner renewal date came and I renewed. Worked it for about 2 more months and then found your Anti-MLM videos randomly on my UA-cam feed. Started watching so many videos from all sorts of wonderful people in this community and really got educated on what’s really going on. I continued being an inactive Market Partner for another 9 months and then this happened to Angelique, someone I looked up to for over a year. She’s spoken on team calls I’ve attended and I’ve always loved her energy.
Well the past two days I’ve helped so many of my VIPs and downline MPs cancel their accounts and first thing tomorrow morning I’m finally canceling mine.

This is infuriating, I watched the original video and she was nothing but positive about herself, her team and what she wants the future to look like. How dare they make her out to be a negative person and the bad guy because she is not it, she was a breath of fresh air and so relatable amongst the stepford barbies that tend to be in these things.

You are totally right - Monat's PR/marketing team should quit today. Monat had such a great opportunity to show that they accept constructive feedback. This would have made them appear legitimate. I was thinking when I saw your video yesterday, "She is going to get fired. If she doesn't Monat is playing this smart. That would be really great for its image." Meaning the company is so positive of what they do, they are OK with its reps going on an opposing view channel. Opportunity lost and it makes them seem so much worse now. Cult is putting it mildly.

Also, if this isn't the biggest wake up call to MPs that they DO NOT own their own business, and ARE NOT their own boss, then idk what will. Employees at those office jobs they love to belittle have more freedom to express concerns and speak up than these tightly regulated commercial cults. You are NOT a business owner if someone can just take it all away in an instant because they didn't like something you had to say or that you didn't just fall in line and keep your mouth shut. Questions and criticism should never be grounds for termination. This is incredible....

This is going to turn out to be one REAL bad move from Monat. Angelique is a sympathetic figure, and if they hadn’t fired her she might well be moving further up the ranks, bringing in people who might have been put off by the stereotypical rep, etc. She’s the kind of trouble a company needs to get better. Now, not only did they lose that and further damage their already poor reputation, Angelique is free - or will be - to spill every drop of tea.

i’m a 25 year old teaching seniors in high school and oh boy have they dealt with some shit this year: death, sa, and figuring out how to deal with normal schools and all of that having not been around their peers for two years. the thing that is really killing them is toxic positivity from our administrators, the way they talk to them like they’re 14 and not about to be out in the world by themselves, and the lack of transparency and accountability of how decisions are being made wrt these serious issues. so woof this was a toughie for me. hearing the bullshit. the performative speech, the faux anger, the avoidance of the real issues. thank you so much for calling these toxic ass huns out because this type of behavior is far too present across industries. and it’s validating to hear so ❤️

This move of Monat terminating Angelique is really going to hit them hard. If they just ignored the interview (which was very well done btw) and instead listened and made the changes Angelique was working for then we wouldn’t have all of THIS to react to and witness. I’m just happy that through this I now know who Angelique is and am going to follow and support her continuing to use her voice for change. And now we’re just another example of how the anti-mlm community is full of caring humans who only want what’s best for anyone manipulated into MLMs. I hope that if anyone still in Monat who has a bad taste about what happened feels safe enough to get out (if that’s what they want to do). We welcome any and everyone with open arms.

I watched Chelsea's interview and Angelique was hilarious and also an insanely positive person. She just wanted to make changes for the better. Criticising something does not make you a negative person! It is crazy to me how down lines can stand listening to these hunbots continuously spout platitudes and manifesting bullshit all day long. Always smiling, positive robots are not it sis. Things will never change if women like this stay at the top of these MLMs. This particular one is using Angelique as an example to scare her down line and make them too afraid to speak out about issues they have with the company. A good company/managers should always be willing to hear feedback on what they can do better. I guess this hunbot did not get the memo or her big head won't let the message penetrate that brain of hers. Monat didn't seem to get the memo either.

What's so dangerous about creating an absolutely false painting of someone's character is that it SLANDERS that person. That person being slandered has to overcome the negative picture someone else painted. The intent to falsely represent someone for their own financial benefit in this situation is disgusting. This pr campaign is painful to watch and makes me so mad that they are withholding information from their team and falsely feeding information that puts the uplines and Monat in the best light.

Just because they label something or someone "dumb and crazy" doesn't mean that meets the standard for those definitions. You can call anything "blue" but that doesn't make the color of that item blue. There are absolutes that are meaningful when you are making a point, talking about someone or even more specifically to this conversation: someone's character. And when they are intentionally maligning someone, that's where the line needs to be drawn. Thanks for bringing light to this behavior, Chelsea.

It's actually funny, their car analogy is a lot like how the shitty company I left justified bad behavior. Mind you this wasn't an MLM, this is a huge corporation, but essentially they started rolling out massive hour cuts right after we had just reached barely enough staff to survive. We went from being able to start fixing our stores that were falling apart to being forced back into panic mode because of corporate greed, and when I cited this as a reason I was leaving my manager's response was "well have YOUR hours been cut?" Like..??? Not super significantly but I'm having a panic attack every shift because everyone else's hours have been cut and now all the weight is on me. They really thrive off of you having your blinders on and just mindlessly trucking forward, shitty corporate bosses and MLM uplines alike.

I get you. I worked for a company that terminated ALL the employees in my department on the same day. We were then given the opportunity to reapply. I did - and was told “Congratulations, you are hired to the same position with the same salary!” OK…. Oh, and we had to keep working throughout the entire process.
Best part: When I turned in my resignation 3 weeks later, the women looked up from my letter at me and actually asked “Why?” Um, you mass fired 35+ people and forced them to reapply instead of just firing the people you wanted to fire? I think my eyes just went dead when she asked that question.

    1. if MONAT is watching Chelsea - then they’re 100% watching their own reps break company and FTC guidelines constantly. MONAT just proved they only put a stop to it when the talk isn’t monetarily beneficial to the mlm.
    2. A real CEO can’t get fired from their “own company” by discussing ways in which the business is flawed/needs improvement. That’s the antithesis of business.
I stg, you taking the extra steps to define the manipulation tactics and logical fallacies really made a difference. Chelsea thank you, for taking the time to educate everyone, and genuinely listening.

Also, I'm sorry if it comes off rude, (since it's sometimes hard to convey messages online without sounding bitchy), but as someone that almost unalived themselves over verbal abuse, words absolutely can kill. That’s how I took it too; it’s ironic though that Britty and those Monat Huns demand that others be mindful of their words and actions BUT REFUSE to hold themselves to the same level. Britty herself admitted how awful it felt when HER upline was mean to her and told her what do to and then blocked her from their group and yet, that’s what they did to Angelique. So basically, it’s ok for THEM to do it to others, but not others to do it to them?! It’s infuriating! They KNOW the power of their words and actions but refuse to take accountability for it, or even be called out on it, which is, in my opinion, much worse and callous.

Also, I've openly criticized my company in meetings with HR and the CEO in the room. Notice how I said "my company ". They didn't fire me, they listened to me, and now I'm working on a couple of corporate initiatives to better improve the organization. They are listening and want to make change.
