In 68 Yale’s head Cheer leader was George W. Bush…they also had a player who dated a Vassar student named Meryl Streep…their running back was Calvin Hill the father of Grant Hill whose mother was roommates with Hillary Clinton…Harvard had a starting guard named Tommy Lee Jones whose roommate was Al Gore!
One of the last true rivalries that is solely about beating the other side, not for national titles or NIL money but bragging rights. Good shit as always sir. 🥃
And if anything Harvard and Yale actually have the title of the game because they played every year since 1869 Ohio State and Michigan should be called the other game@@DiamondKingStudios
It would be cool if you talked about Lafayette versus Lehigh, the longest continuous college football rivalry of all time. Two teams that are literally tied at the hip.
Princeton-Yale is probably the oldest important rivalry. Essentially was for who was the best in the East and in many years best in the nation before the late 1920s and originally was usually played in a neutral site in the New York Metro area. Usually the Polo Grounds specifically.
Can't wait for you to do the (other (other)) game (Michigan vs Ohio State) and then go through all the individual matchups in college football that people like to call "The game" (sportswriters aren't very creative anymore I guess...)
I’m gonna feel so much pride knowing I been here since like sub 10k when you’re at the sub count you deserve man! Keep using that silky smooth voice to bring these awesome stories to life.
I've always found old college dynasties to be fascinating. Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Chicago, Army, Pitt, etc. The advent of the forward pass was a mistake.
Well considering that Harvard has 16 national championships the last one was 1959 yale has 27 last one was in 1960 but still Yale has more championships than the SEC and Big ten teams combined
Well now that you've covered the other game, you might as well do the other other game, aka The Rivalry. Lehigh - Lafayette is the most-played football rivalry ever and is the longest uninterrupted rivalry game of all time. Lots of history there
I love your videos EMPIRE. This was another magnum opus. Would you make a Iron Bowl rivalry video someday and that would be cool that you could make as a Alabama fan.
With their recent resurgence, can we get a video on the history + Golden age (1920s-early 1960s) of service academy football (specifically Army + Navy, sorry Air Force) ??
There’s not another sport with more aura(outside of combat sports). When I was younger I thought the no scholarship fcs status was so dumb but the older I get the cooler it is
College football in the northeast is romantic. Its a religion down south, absolutely, but something about it up here just brings in some very cool feeling. As a Rutgers Student (Camden but hush) and Penn fan, its just... really cool. So much tradition. So much history. (And for damn cheap lol)
liked the video before it even started playing. with college football dying as we currently know it, you are a bastion and herald of what we all love about it.
Trying varsity but can't, Harvard is hard. To join Yale for no reason why, is for the ale. Getting D at Brown is in need of lifeguard, getting an F at Dartmouth is in need of a Proctologist.

No one cares about lying hillary
babe wake up new EMPIRE just dropped
Is this comment on every video? I literally first looked for it at the top lol
@@jeremy28135yeah I commented this last video 😂
It's nice to see conference rivalries and geographies that actually makes sense.
Havard, Yale has some of the best uniforms ever. Even if the game itself isn't that great, it always looks great.
Simple, yet effective

Good shit as always sir. 🥃
These are the folks playing football right, not the try-hards I had to deal with going to an SEC university treating it like a professional league.

MIT pranks are hardcore lmao
Never underestimate the kind of Giga-Nerds who can make it into MIT.
It's just a prank bro, no it's death
My grandfather studied at MIT, so he must have had a sense of humor.
You need a Netflix doc. Can’t miss material!
EMPIRE AND DALUKES UPLOADED ⁉️ we eatin good today
Empire and Dalukes carrying UA-cam College Football rn 🐐🐐
It would be cool if you talked about Lafayette versus Lehigh, the longest continuous college football rivalry of all time. Two teams that are literally tied at the hip.
Another banger from Empire to make my morning commute tolerable
This has me desperate to watch some Ivy League football now

Dude you make some of my favorite sports videos ever, wish you were appreciated as much as you should be.
would love to see a video on the Army/Navy rivalry
Discovering empire and dalukes is like discovering crack in the 80s
I've always found old college dynasties to be fascinating. Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Chicago, Army, Pitt, etc.
The advent of the forward pass was a mistake.
me personally i am glad that the best teams dont have a weekly attendance of 5,000
Imagine if the winner of Harvard-Yale and Michigan-OSU played each other. Probably would’ve been a competitive game in at least the early 20th century
Well considering that Harvard has 16 national championships the last one was 1959 yale has 27 last one was in 1960 but still Yale has more championships than the SEC and Big ten teams combined

Another great video/documentary 🔥 📛 👨🚒
I love the Harvard-Yale Rivalry, glad you covered it. Great video too.

Good day, Empire is up and at em!!!
This is the best channel on UA-cam
There’s not another sport with more aura(outside of combat sports). When I was younger I thought the no scholarship fcs status was so dumb but the older I get the cooler it is
Recently been really interested in the history of Ivy League football and was hoping you’d make a video about it! Perfect timing!

It is funny to me how interested in this sport people were back then when barely anybody even understood the rules.
u should do UF vs Miami history and talk about why it stopped
fantastic work
liked the video before it even started playing. with college football dying as we currently know it, you are a bastion and herald of what we all love about it.
college football isn't dying. It's just evolving like it always has, just more rapidly.
At least we won today. Go Bulldogs
Crazy to see those crackback blocks being essentially planned in the play.
new name should be the nerd bowl

Yea boy!
BANG
Yessir!!
Now, can you make a video on The Ohio State Michigan rivalry.
You gotta do Utah vs. BYU next
Yale Harvard was the first
"The Game." It was always shown on TV. a long time ago.
Do one about UCLA and USC rivalry!
There is only one THE GAME - and that is Yale vs. Harvard!!! (Let those other teams come up with their own unique name!)
Can we get an Ashton Jeanty vid?
Do a video about HBCUs they are interesting & im a random white guy
Good idea
Thanks
