    right on Jose, i am gonna replace my lower control arms on an es300 this weekend and i just wanna thank you for the videos u did on the driver and passenger side lower control arms. I like how u don't take out the knuckle but just the splash shield. And also loosen front mount so u don't fight with engine removing side mounts... less work and still get the job done right.

    Thank you so much for this video this is the best tutorial I could've asked for! I'll be doing this on a 2007 Toyota Camry Solara here soon hoping the process is identical

    Wouldn't it have been an easier procedure to remove the ball joint from the control arm for this job??

    • @bevmadden7277
      @bevmadden7277 3 місяці тому +3

      yes and also since he didnt torque anything and skipped removing the cv axle to properly have access to torque the ball joint nut, he should of saved time, left the braking system and bent the shield away and then back when done plus disconnect like he did to install.

    Wow, best video I've watched so far for control arm replacement. Great quality too. Replacing the inner/outer tie rod ends and boot as well; hope to find your videos for that as well. The only thing I would suggest is adding thr torque specs.

    I noticed you didn't torque any of the bolts to spec. No good.

    Excellent video. But being disabled I don't think I could do it. I wish I could. Shops are just too much for me. I wish I knew someone here in So Cal who could do it cheaper at home.

    But..... if your 20 year old car is very rusty ,this repair job is NoT as easy as in these video's

    • @elchanojose
      @elchanojose  3 місяці тому +2

      Hello! You are right 100% about that. Rusty suspension components mean big trouble. Rusty bolts are the worse things on a suspension system. Thank you for sharing that information. Take well care!

    Can you tell me what brand of lower control arm you are using in this video? What do you suggest import direct control arm from O’Reilly or Detroit axle from amazon?

    • @TheAzmountaineer
      @TheAzmountaineer Місяць тому

      A lot of those third party control arms and ball joints are cheap and cheaply made, while the Toyota OEM brand is silly expensive. It makes for a difficult decision. If you don't mind doing this again in 20-30K miles, then I'd use maybe TRQ or Moog. Not a fan of Detroit Axle. Otherwise, bite the bullet and buy Toyota.
