Out of curiosity, why couldn't this be done over Bluetooth? Given it's already done over Bluetooth to our phones, why do we need an expensive accessory for our computers which have Bluetooth in them? (As owner of basically all the recent gear including a full jib setup, a full slider setup, DollyOne, focus adapter, and more).
Hi DC! Good point, and yes, you’re right - most PCs come with Bluetooth. However, we know not every PC may have the same Bluetooth hardware, so we intended to provide a seamless experience without sacrificing the connection quality and ease of use. Furthermore, since we don’t use this protocol with the edelkrone Link Adapter, your edelkrone units can be controlled by mobile edelkrone App and edelkrone SDK at the same time. Lastly, which could be critical in certain circumstances, the edelkrone Link Adapter wireless protocol has a greater range than Bluetooth. Hope this helps! -Best, Cole

There are around 10 motion control devices shown in the last shot - can all of these connect to the same computer and one mobile app/webapp/dragonframe software?
Is the keyframe number limited in each of the apps (mobile app to only 6 positions i think?)

Is it possible to use this system in a 3D motion tracking capacity? For instance I have something that I want to shoot with a moving shot on a green screen. Can I send the key frame and velocity data into say Blender or Unreal Engine and have the 3d virtual background move in relation to how the camera is moving?
Hi Jeremy, edelkrone SDK application runs in the background of your computer and translates API commands to the underlying hardware and vice versa. If your programming language or software environment can send and receive HTTP-based API commands, you can interface with your edelkrone motion control system(s) through edelkrone SDK using the edelkrone Link Adapter.
However, we don't and can't know all possible software protocols and environments, and we cannot provide advice on every specific situation. You will need to write / edit / install custom pieces of software that can communicate with edelkrone SDK so that our SDK will relay your messages to our motion control system(s) for you.
Once you install edelkrone SDK, you will be able to access “edelkrone SDK Documentation” and relevant example projects for further information.
