    I received a shipment today from Edelkrone. My JIBONE has come. I have been playing for several hours trying out all the poses that are possible. I am extremely pleased, it repeats accurately, is quiet and stable with macro lenses. I'm impressed.
    I recommend to anyone who has a lot to do on their own.

    This has become my new setup goal. I love the edelkrone sliderone, and really want to go further.
    This is still expensive overall, but you end up with an awesome robotic rig, not too dissimilar from the wildly more expensive ones found in pro studios.

    It's kind of a small jib but the little bit of added motion adds a lot of interest to the video. I've always thought jibs were really cool, especially the really big ones. It seems like drones are taking their place but they just can't match the exceptional smoothness of a robotic jib.

    • @JevenDovey
      @JevenDovey  4 роки тому +2

      Agreed! I thought this Jib would be too small but after working with it and creating videos I've found the size works great. On my bigger shooots we use a 20ft jib but those are not practical if you want to have a small setup that can fit in a backpack

      @@JevenDovey When you can get it all connected , setup and synced. Gerald Undone did a great comparison to Rhino about a month back and he went in depth on the app and setup.
      However, the auto jib arm is a great idea and if you have the slider, then you can reuse the head. Their system has a lot of parts you can interchange which I like. Still, the units are fairly large for remote work.

    have you ever experienced jitter or extreme shaking with your jibone? I purchased the jibone + Head Pro + Pan Pro - spent $2700 and the device is jittery. the footage is unusable and I need to get in contact with them because at this point I just have a $2700 hunk of metal that angers me everytime I look at it.

    It looks interesting but either you didn't show us it's true potential or it really isn't that amazing. From the visuals you've shown I really don't see what it can do that I can't do with my own hands holding camera and a gimbal.

    • @JevenDovey
      @JevenDovey  4 роки тому +1

      The difference with this is that it will be completely smooth and the moves are repeatable. That way you can have it recording for long takes and be able to use any part of the shot rather than having to keep redoing a shot with a gimbal until you get it right.

      @@JevenDoveyI understand and maybe from that perspective some may find it worth it. I think maybe if it could go higher and pan further (like those professional broadcasting ones) it would be worth it. But from what you've shown us, the movements were very small. I personally wouldn't bother. Interesting bit of kit though.
