If you set one side of the tank to bypass the petcock wouldn’t this mean you will have continuous fuel flow? You won’t be able to stop the flow of gas when not using the bike.
I noticed that shortly after posting the video. I think to try and get the bike started (proof of concept) it will work. I will be fixing it the correct way (not cheapest way) after we know the bike runs and drives. Thanks again for the observation.
@@LostSocketMotorsports I'm trying to work through this same issue with mine, the second line going to the original petcock also bypasses the fuel tap so I still have fuel running from the equaliser side, did you end up finding a fix for this?
Yes. All the petcocks advertised as "CL90 or S90" that I have been able to find lately are not correct. They have either only one outlet, or they have 2 outlets that are 90 degrees offset. The correct one (at 4:33) was on the CL90, and the right side inlet is about 45 degrees offset to the outlet. If you hook up the hose from the right side of the tank on the 90 degree offset outlet, you will have continuous fuel flow to the other outlet. This petcock, thought it fits the tank, was intended for use on the small 2 cylinder Hondas with 2 carbs. You can use either a plastic lawn mower valve for the right side, or one of the many small inline gas valves available online. I rebuilt one of my originals, however one of my spares was too damaged to rebuild. (I have 2 S90s and 2.5 CL90s). I also purchased 2 of the correct ones several years ago.
I have a 1967 C201, very similar.
I just bought one of those too! Mine is running but the I have a wiring nightmare to deal with. I will keep up with your vids!
Im just about to jump into the wiring portion of mine. i hope its not a rats nest but we will see.
I have this exact bike at work stored. I'm possibly going to attempt to restore it with your channel.❤
if you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I have the bike still and it is pretty original
@@LostSocketMotorsports I found a service manual online as well, so I'm trying to familiarize myself with it. Thank You! 🙏
Hi, can I ask if you're selling extra cl90 fuel tanks? Thanks!
I don't have any but there is a single OHC group on Facebook that I have seen a few on recently
@@LostSocketMotorsports Thanks. May I know the name of the OHC group on FB?
