I play rogue specifically first in all RPGs for as long as I remember. I like close range melee and speed..... So, in this case Thief seems closest to where I'll begin though I dislike being a thief in any sense. In DDDA, I played Strider and spent some time ranged. 260 hours playtime at Steam alone...... I imagine I will play classes with more movement and lighter armor ..... tank usually my last choice. I did preorder (haven't learned a lesson from Diablo 4 and Starfield) and found the sale at Fanatical which allowed me to buy in for $65 for the Deluxe version. Cheers
I have had Dragon's Dogma 2 since March 14th. (Unboxing is on my channel for proof.) Here are some things to add. No spoilers. 1: There is button mapping. There is also Motion Sensor Function in Camera Options menu. 2: The PS5 does not have performance mode, but the 30 fps is good in outdoor areas but suffers in big fights and cities. 3: The world is well crafted and is huge. 4: It uses the Adaptive Triggers on the PS5 controller. 5: There are Golden Beetles that glow that you can find and use to add .15 to your carried weight. 6: The caves are intricate and multi-leveled. 7: There are 2 save files. One in Settings and the other for Inn. The innkeeper is also who you go to deposit and retrieve items and for vocations. There are also homes you can get where you can sleep and use them to deposit and retrieve items. Your pawn can only bring you back items from their travel with other adventurers if you sleep at an inn though. 8: There are 240 Seeker Tokens to find in the game. 9: Pause Menu are as follows: Items, Map, Quests, Equipment, Status. History, Photo Mode, and System. 10: In the system, there are Save and Options. 11: In Options, there is Controls, Camera, Game Settings, Interface, Display, Sound, Language, and Network. 12: There are no difficulty settings. 13: In Display, there is HDR Mode on/off and Brightness settings. There is no performance mode. 14: Some quests are timed, so don't take on too many at a time. 15: In History, there is NPC Logbook, where every single NPC you interact with is listed categorized by All, The City they belong to, Other, and Always on the move. Tutorial Logbook, Adventure Logbook, and File Logbook. 16: Game Settings are Minimap Rotation on/off, Auto-Sheathe on/off, Priority of Materials to Combine player/pawn, Destination of Combined Items player/pawn. 17: Vocations start off with the main 4 that you can choose at the innkeeper in the first couple of villages. Once you get to the first city, the Guild Hall adds the advanced vocations, the warrior, and the sorcerer. In order to purchase them with Dcp, you have to first obtain the weapon for said vocation. Dcp is earned anytime you gain experience by fighting. As you level the vocations more, Weapon Skills, Core Skills, and Augments are unlocked. 18: This is my Game of the Year. 19: Don't like the way your character or pawn looks? No worries. You can purchase an Art of Metamorphosis tome to bring to the barbarie to change it. The barbarie also does basic changes to your character for a fee. You can also buy incense to change your pawns voice and personalities. The other ones listed would be a spoiler, so I won't say. I listed the others so you would know that you can change your character's if needed. 20: Confused about what to do? Go pay a local oracle to tell you a fortune. 21: You can run around as much as you want in a city without it depleting your stamina. 22: You can turn the hud off, and also pick what hud you want on or off. 23: You can use Camera Distance slider. 24: You can sit on special seats at differing locations to pass time, and also you can pass time by sleeping at the inn or your home in a city. 25: Have some enemies on your tail crossing a bridge? Cut the ropes. 26: Use Wakestones to resurrect yourself or a companion. 27: You can increase your disposition to most npc's by giving them a gift. Romance, perhaps? 28: The maister's teaching is the most powerful skill for a vocation. It requires impressing the maister and a special tome from the maister of said vocation if your rank is also high enough. 29: Pawns earn as a mark of their accumulated knowledge and expertise through combat and experience exploring. If they fight a certain enemy, they get better at it, and they can help other arisen's find things that you found in your game.
@georgistoyanov2574 Even with the stutters, it is playable. You will spend most of your time in the world. It has been an amazing adventure. I can't wait to unlock the wayfarer class. According to the achievement its "jack of all trades, master of... all". My guess is this is a class meant for people who prefer western style rpg's that let you be all the classes at once, once you learn the skills like elder scrolls. I'm just glad that according to the leaks the wayfarer class doesn't come with a downside for having everything at once, but is just all of the classes mashed together sort of as an optional endgame reward for finishing the other classes.
Technically Warfarer does have a "down side," in that the base stats are lower than a dedicated class. If DD1 is anything to go by, though, stats gained from equipment are much more meaningful than base stats. So, if Warfarer is unlocked later in the game, the weapons you equip will make up for it. If your Warrior's sword swing is doing 80 damage, Warfarer will probably do like 70-75.
It actually comes with 2 downsides. 1. Lower stats/stat increases 2. No matter what class you pick you lose the R1 ability for example the warriors R1 ability is shoulder bash, the warfarers R1 ability is swap weapon. So you lose the special skill of the class and have lower stats

Even the 40 series dips to 30fps in cities 🤣🤣 that's what PC players don't realize the best hardware in the world means nothing if the software is bad just must suck so much more to pay THAT much for a rig and it still doesn't perform because of optimization ouch
@@dantemiles689 the thing is it almost always gets fixed eventually or people make mods that fix it, but console just isn't strong enough so it will never have good performance. and to be fair its really only a few games a year that i notice having bad performance at release. i would much rather play most games at 200fps and every now and then have to deal with bad optimizing than be on console and just always be at stuttery 30fps or 1080p 60fps thats blurry and low res. there is always a path to being fixed on pc, through mods or optimizing. theres never a fix on console because they are shit lol. sounds like you huffed a bit of cope today.
@@tomgreene5388 It's not the consoles fault if the 40 series can't even do 60fps 🤣🤣 its poor optimization. Stop defending having to fix games for devs and waiting months AFTER release just so they can fix their own game. The console is strong enough to run every game up until now at 60fps the console isn't the issue the devs are
@@dantemiles689 yeah 60fps on performance mode with shit graphics lmao. im just saying at least theres always a path for being fixed on pc. there never is on console because they suck so i would choose pc still 10 out of 10 times. becuase even with performance being bad ill still be at higher fps than on console. also a lot of capcoms problem with pc games is the denuvo anti cheat they use tanks performance hard. they usually stop using it after like a year and performance goes up. denuvo needs to go away.
@@tomgreene5388 Lol it ain't shit from my perspective 🤣🤣 yes it can and it's called updates hell you said it yourself "performance mode" something all new games have except DD2 why? Poor optimization from devs who don't normally do open world games. Yeah I'm not paying the price of a PC just so the game can run at the same quality as a console. Double the price same performance until someone hopefully fixes it if they even do
