Apparrently the Thief Vocation has an abillity called plunder that u can use on the ghostly clouds at night to steal from them Ferrystones. That solves the problem with the ferrystones. You can also Plunder wakestones like this from different enemies, so you better level up the Thief Vocation and good Plunder :D.
This game is amazing, and I never even heard of Dragons Dogma until a month ago. I thought not fast traveling would be a pain, but I've been finding shortcuts and cave networks that make traveling faster. I finally got the ancestral chamber path open and can get to Melve from there or vice versa to reach the elves faster
Pro tip from dragons dogma 1 just PUT ALL enhancement materials in your stash at the inn. The game auto pulls them from storage when you upgrade equipment
i was looking at a chest on a high ledge in a saurian cave and a summoned pawn used their shield to boost me up. The game is so good and im convinced anyone hating on it either hasnt played it yet or just doesnt like RPG games.
@michaelstrong8841 yeah most of the hate comes from people who can't afford the game . So they shit on it try and spoil it for the rest of us . Yes fps can definitely be better and I'd prefer more accessible fast travel . But on the whole the game is amazing I'm really enjoying it
quick tips i havent seen anyone say " If youre on the road and heavy pass everything to a pawn you rented , dismiss them so your stuff goes to the storage and then reinvite them before they walk away". It might be a bug thought so it could get patched.
Edit: so i tried this, and it doesn't work. if you try to rehire the pawn before they walk away they say "i can't rejoin you yet" but you could dismiss them and hire a pawn walking the roads to receive a similar outcome
As someone who plays more games than any UA-camr… this game is one of those that will be a staple in the industry. It’s amazing with great bones! If and big if, they keep up with it.
Omg. Thank you for talking natural and using clear and concise language to explain it all without rave music it’s rare nowadays. All these channels sound like they just drank a liter of Mountain Dew and I can only stand to watch 10 seconds. Subbed
Thanks for this video I just got the game last night and a lot of the pawn and vocation stuff confused me and I didn't understand the level system.. you helped me big time thanks man!
Thanks for making this! Your Baldur's Gate Beginner's Guide was so helpful that I immediately hit play when I saw this in my search for a DD2 guide. And you did not disappoint. It took barely a minute to learn something new and helpful. Great work!
I got this game for my birthday recently and was completely overwhelmed with all of the obvious mechanics the game was using but telling me nothing about. I appreciate this guide. Aside from the useful info, it's made me excited to get right back into DD2. Thanks!
My character is a 6ft 8inch 300 pound slaying machine but I accidentally fell down a considerable height and thought for sure I was dead but one of my hired pawns a 5ft tall sexy female thief caught me at last second and holding me close like a baby god I love this game😂
If you go up to the sign near the ox cart you can choose to wait for it instead of sitting on the bench and keep trying. It's also important to know you can run into ox carts along your travels and jump on it mid way. I took the one to Melve but couldn't find a way back to Vernworth since there's no oxcart station in Melve (so basically a one way ride) but during my voyage I ran into one and took it the rest of the way.
regarding the pawn levels, if you really like one you can "favourite the pawn" then search for favourited pawns to see what level they are at. For instance, I hired a really good pawn at lvl 10, got me to almost level 20, came back at 35 a few days later and they were level 40 (i guess, whoever created him plays more than i do) and it was WELL worth the RC investment to rehire them.
This is a really great video. I just got a ps5 pro, and I decided to start DD2. It runs great on the pro btw! Thanks again for all the knowledge. You got a sub!
18:47 Instead of going to the bench to wait for the ox cart just go to the sign with the bell next to the ox cart click on that and it will take you to the next time the ox cart is ready I also use this speed up time til morning so a day and it’s free hope I helped and saved y’all some time
Excellent overview of the game’s mechanics. Thank you! I recently purchased the game and have barely scratched the surface, but it’s been very enjoyable thus far. I don’t understand the negativity some people have expressed towards DD2. Perhaps certain gamers these days are just spoiled rotten.
Top-notch beginner's guide, as always! Thanks! Very clear, even @ 1.75x speed. & FYI, @ 41:45 you mentioned a vocation's guide popping up on screen "right now", but it didn't (of course it is in the description tho)
(Tip for camping) If you kill all surrounding enemies before sleeping, you’re less likely of getting attacked. You can also repack your camping kit by walking out of the radius. Hope that saves on weight😅
I have listened to your reviews and such before and just wanted to tell you what a Greatg job you do at explaining the important and vital parts one really needs to know in the games you cover! Excellent job here as usual! Thank You!
It does, store all your enhancement materials in storage and you can also store a lot of the items used for crafting potions and the like. Only keep a few on hand to save weight, and you will always find more on the field👍
The pawns that generally get hired most often are pawns that have quest guide (meaning the owner has completed the quest your doing) & the pawns that have pawn quests (for example, many offer 10k gold for killing an ogre or griffin). If you have the gold or an abundance of nice items, use them as pawn quest rewards & watch your pawn usage shoot up.
Its so refreshing to play a new open world rpg thats actually really good and fun. Im now 31 and this game makes me feel like a teenager again playing the first one.
A heads up. The oxcart. There is a sign right next to the bench that you rested on and you can choose to wait til next oxcart trip. It will skip automatically to the next morning. You can also use that to pass days of time in a few seconds.
I loved the 'M Bison'' CAPCOM pawn, she's so unbelievably cheery. I'm currently a Warrior, so don't need her for the moment, but as soon as I need one, I'll hire her again at a higher level
Regarding ox carts - 1) they have signs next to them that will let you wait until the next one is leaving and 2) they can be attacked even when you doze off, so if you arent careful when theyre attacked you can lose your cart and have to walk the rest of the way
I bought the game recently and wasn’t fully convinced , so after restarting for the third time, commiting to my mage and unlocking Levitation I was fully in. The Levitation animation feels so powerful, like magneto in xmen
Oh I'm at loss Guage section, you can also use an all heal to fully restore you're entire hp bar. Although they seem way more rare than ferrystones until late game, then there's an npc in the elves village that sells one. Resting a few days can respawn it, same with the ferrystones. Amazing video though fr man wish I seen this when I first started. Totally didn't know that npcs that die go to the closest morge. RiP🤣🤣🤣
Sorry if this has already been posted but getting in the water with your main character does NOT kill you. It just resets you back on nearby land. It will kill your pawns though. Very informative video.
Great video, thanks for putting this together. I have one question regarding equipment that can't be worn by certain builds. They'll have a red mark suggesting you can't use a particular piece of equipment however, how do you see "why" you're prevented from using it? I've had a couple that I believed should be useable by certain classes but couldn't understand why they weren't allowed when it wasn't obvious e.g. a sword for a mage....
Don't forget to mention, that if you doze off, you may wake up to a fight mid trip. The fight can result in the cart being lost until you camp or doze off until the next morning.
The fast travel cart you fail to mention you will get attacked by a ton of monsters but love that feature has three wearwolfs in a row and last one killed the damn ox lol so had to walk the rest
This sort of game isn't what I typically play, playstyle wise. But I'm really enjoying it :3 I ended up recreating the hockey player Barkov as my arisen. And a really bad zevran arainai as my pawn rip. I was impatient
Dont forget to favourite Pawns you liked, so when they level up you can hire them again in the future. Likely the Main whos pawn it is has kept them working quite well.
Idk if he mention, didn’t see the full video but if u get ur friends pawn. They’re free no matter what level is it. I’m level 25 and I got my friend pawn in my party that is level 45
I learned that you aren't dead until the screen comes up in a particularly funny way. The game won't stop everything and say "you died" if your body is still in motion. I got hammered by a minotaur and flung across the fucking valley we were in and went "wait a moment. What if I healed?" Lo and behold. I did.
I have a warrior, thief and my main pawn is a sorcerer, and I’m a magick archer. Honestly works so good because I use remedy shot and that heals for so much
When you change your or your pawns vocation and gear, place that armour and weapons not relevant in storage. That way, you have the gear needed for the next time you switch vocations for you or your pawn. For example: you are a Warrior and change vocation to mage (switching with your pawn).
39:12 be careful with this one. You still need to take precaution bc running out of potions isn't the only reason you can fully die. If you get hit hard enough by an enemy it can and will fully kill you regardless if you have potions or not. So still be very careful.
If you change your vocation and then change it back you'll get full health. Same with your pawn. If you have pawns you like that are your level or lower you can favorite them, dismiss them then call them back and they'll have full heath as well. no resting required
I started playing 4 days ago and I skipped 2 days of work just to play 😁… I don’t remember the last time that I find a good game I really recommend DD2 🙃

My pawn picked me up and through me over a wall cause I couldn't open the door . It was hilarious 😂

It’s not a bug, that’s an intended mechanic👍 always pass items to pawns, especially fighters/warriors since they can naturally carry more than others.
@eddyram4932 you misunderstood what he's saying. You can dismiss a pawn, gear gets sent to storage, re hire them before they walk away.
@@drewbienewbie03xx81 that’s literally not what he said😂
