Still stunned and gutted after hearing the news...There will never be another one like him. The baddest of the badasses with such finesse and grace along with such intensity and ferocious power. He was a God amongst us mere mortals. We are blessed to have had him to listen to all of these years. Jeff Beck RIP
My favorite Jeff Beck Band lineup ever. Jennifer Batten on 2nd guitar. Talk about musicianship. Got a chance to see them 3 times touring with this lineup back in the day. Awesome.

There is no guitar player like him period! What he pulls out of the guitar is amazing!
RIP Jeff, this is wonderful stuff.
I saw this show , the Who Else tour, at the Dallas Starplex in April '99, sitting in row 10 center stage. Same songs, same order....even same clothes. Blew me away.....I hadn't seen him live since the mid-70's with Jan Hammer .
He cannot be copied by anyone, and is not intimidated by anyone. After Jennifer's brilliant soloing on Blue Wind, he just smiles and points at her. Fun to watch.
A true gentleman. Jeff Beck isn't flamboyant, he just lets his talent be the center of attention. One of the top 10 guitarist of all time. I feel honored to see him perform.
This has to be Beck's best live show and best backing band, even beats Live at Ronnie Scotts, just pure genius ! Randy Hope Taylor, what a great bass player !
Gotta disagree. This is more rock than blues; Ronnie Scott's is a blues club. The frenetic pounding in this show lacks the polish in the RS gig. Vinnie is a much better drummer than this guy, and Tal is much more appropriate to the mood @ RS.
However, that's just MHO & YMMV. That's why there's vanilla ice cream & worms-and-dirt ice cream. :-)
@@JAP42 Ronnie Scott's is a jazz club, not a blues club. At least that's my understanding.
Who knows what Hendrix would have accomplished if he would have lived as long as Jeff Beck? As much as I love Hendrix and his ability to play the electric grid wherever he played Jeff Beck is the greatest guitar player of all time. He is also one of the most modest and personable rock and rollers that ever lived. I seldom meet people of fame and fortune but take my word on this one. The greatest guitar player of all time and a great human being.
Angel !! Great song , We can thank Jeff's guardian angel for taking care of him all these years

I agree that Jeff beck is great and modest BUT hendrix was just a plagiarist
Same goes for Jennifer Batten on the modest and personable front. I spent an hour with her in a private lesson yesterday and she could not have been more down to earth.
Having just entered my 70th year and a music fan all my life, I have to say that Jeff is the very very best of the lot. Like him, like Clapton et al, when Jimi first hit the UK he set the world on fire, only to sadly flame out not long afterwards. Jeff has been with us over the past 7 decades and in that time has shown us to be the absolute master of the guitar. It's not for nothing that all of the major players of the era have given such praise to the man on his passing. He truly is the best in my eyes, and I love them all, but there's only one JB, nobody can get near to him. Such a distinctive sound, so clear. Wonderful concert with the man in his prime, accompanied by an incredible ensemble of musicians who would likely not get exposure were it not for him. He is a true master. RIP Jeff, thank you for everything, and a wonderful body of work left for generations to marvel at.
My Favourite guitar player of all times....been going to his concerts since..1974
The sound quality in Japanese live shows has always proven that they are the worlds leaders in audio technology
This is the most beautiful music with an insight into visions and human endeavour, passion, and delicacy, with imaginary tales and with a musical story that is international. Lucky Japan! Cynthia Allen McLaglen
Awesome! I adore Jeff Beck
Absolutely amazing display of musical genius!! Jeff Beck is a virtuoso of the finest caliber. Pure pleasure to listen to and watch play. Thanks for posting...BRAVO!!
twenty four years ago this happened. Wonderful Jeff Beck, Jennifer Batten and Drummer Steve Alexander, and Bass Randy Hope Taylor- fantastic group!!!! THE BEST! Cynthia McLaglen
c'est d'la balle !! toute ma jeunesse
Saw Jeff Beck with this lineup at The Paramount in Seattle with my son. We got to greet Jeff during his encore. WAY COOL show. This just brings me right back....Thanks.
Jeff Beck and Jennifer Batten and this wonderful team are really on top of the highest tree, are they not? the rest of the players also support in the most sensitive ways. I love the BASS AND THE DRUMS which echo what is happening all the time. Wunderba!! the Rhythm is echoed everywhere in a very sensitive marvellous way! Thank you thank you for this marvellous music!! Randy Hope Taylor bass &
Steve Alexander are wonderful players creating a whole. This is truly beautiful! the succession of chords gradually building up higher and higher is very uplifting0 wonderful. C B Allen-McLaglen
OH. MY. GOD! What a GREAT SHOW! Thank you for posting this marvelous video!
jeff is so good on this gig and i love this band one of great musician so inspiring! i feel like playing!love lefuj
Jeff had many great performances in the decades before and after this one, but this could be him at the top of his game. His mastery and control of the guitar, his feeling and expression, that crazy hybrid picking technique, and his unerring ability to coax the most amazing and musical sounds out of his instrument- with Marshall amps at concert level- put Jeff in a class by himself, imo. Kudos to the other band members as well, who are super musicians in their own right. Thank you, Jeff, for what you do.
The multitude of generations this guy has touched, about 6 now, and what he brings to the table today, and yesterday is just outstanding and long lasting.
Among the giants of guitar when officially polled a few years ago, Jeff Beck was the winner among his peers. You can have tens of thousands of people write in and say Michelangelo couldn't paint..but to those who really know...know what the top of the heap looks like.. when they see it...Amen!
painfully wonderful! The one and only ...
this is still SICK and i saw this tour .... his new one is unreal , every song ....
Three marvellous guitar players together. Wonderful Jeff Beck and Jennifer Batten and Randy Hope Taylor !! Cynthia Allen-McLaglen
JEFF BECK....simply THE MAN when talking electric guitar...and with Jennifer....words fail me..
Interesting that he's always cited as being 'one of the top ten guitarists of all time'...when Clapton,Page and May say he's the best, I know where my heart lies. There's nobody better, the man stands alone.
Fantastic performances by all! The greatness of beck strikes again!
One of my greatest inspirations to play guitar - Jeff Arnold Beck - I went to Beck concerts as much as I could , Even after his Girlfriend almost hit me with their rent Cadillac right before they were to go on stage 42 years ago.
Wow, Jennifer Batten is *really good!*
Totally underestimated and under-recognized talent.
@@rmcunningham3874 I couldn’t agree more. She’s an awesome guitarist.
Look, Jeff takes standard rock licks turns them it inside out and bends it all over the place, and takes the actual SOUND of the strat into the STRATosphere.......xxx
Beck has always been a top five fav guitarists of mine, not only because he's a great guitarists, but because he always serves the song. So many instrumentalist / guitarists simply solo over a particular rhythm with very similar solos and instrumentation creating a very repetitive and boring sound. Beck really works at keeping things interesting by working with different musicians in different genres who write with him creating different and interesting melodies / rhythms / instrumentation. Just look at the variety album to album. He is the consummate guitarist / song writer / artist. So fluid. ;o)
Frankincensedjb123 I could not agree more. He did what he wanted to do. So many, even his mates in the yardbirds don't see this brilliance, and bringing together the musicians that can just wring these sounds, like tingles and swooping heavenly magic! Thank you Jeff!! You made it! I hope your Mum and Dad are listening from heaven. If they do I am sure they are gasping AT THE TEMERITY OF IT ALL! Cynthia McLaglen
May you all sing your blues, in guitar beauty and style.
un modèle pour mon chéri!!!
merci jeff
che maestro !!! per sempre...
Jeniffer and Jeff - Great!!!!!
I love them. They are my favorite guitarrists. ❤
Genius at work, with great back-up band. Thank you for this post.
Genius musician with superb backup. Thank you.
JEFF BECK UN GÉNIE DANS LE GENRE 🎸🔊🎶👍
Master of tone and time signatures.
Jeff and Jennifer. What a great spread of talent.
Listening to You Jeff Beck is like trying to embrace Universe. First feeling is a total love for every stroke you make. Then is a revelation like discovering all those musical giants got together inside of you and having fun doing this wild thunder of chords and exuberant crescendos and all that is just a baroque frame embracing the most precious unique jewel - your lyricism. Thank You. * * *

Sol: - I hear a keyboard and I think I saw the guy behind the keyboard for a second, but keyboard is not mentioned in the decryption. Seth: - Yes there is one. Sol: - Isn't that bizzarrre? Then on the end the keyboard player doesn't show up when they are making their bows. What do you think is going on? Seth: - Hired Gun. He was really low in the mix just to provide atmosphere. But yes, strange. Sol: - C’mon …providing atmosphere? That’s an essential element. You miss that and you can cancel the concert. That keyboard’s impute is very powerful in a sense of arrangement, because it was like there was no keyboard there - just an atmosphere - how many keyboard players can do that without making themselves into a main attention/center of music? I think this a falsifying history and it’s a case for a lawsuit if it’s done to someone who is a co-creator of this historical event?
Jeff beck is timeless. First saw him with The Yardbirds late 1960s in London. Got the original Roger the Engineer vinyl. BRILLIANT.
Stunning! An epiphany equal to his Fire Meets the Fury tour w SRV. Then it was just Beck, the the incredible Terry Bozzio and Tony Hymas. Changed my life.
brilliant
Nobody touches Jeff Beck . Nobody even comes close .
FANTASTIC! JUST FANTASTIC!
Words don't do Jeff Beck justice.

Jeff Beck - finger pickin' good and a lot more. Amazing.
Straight a needle into the veins of my soul - though there are any veins...
But now I know there are.
Il était quand mm bien têtu en arrivant il ne jouait que ses morceaux et depuis il partage un peu la scène avec des artistes de son acabit ! C est un bonheur cette richesse ds la créativité permanente! !

Outstanding version of "The Pump"
On star cycle, sounds like keyboards but didn’t see any...was it Jennifer on her guitar?
Synth guitar. Yeah, Jennifer Batten has a MIDI pickup on her guitar so she can trigger synthesisers as well as guitar sounds.
How come I recall Miami vice, : 15,30 ?
same composer
after a while some people like a sax with their vice.. and I have covered jan hammers stuff I love that guy
Do you think all guitarists with the initials JB are awesome?
I think it’s a law of nature.
#2 isn't the pump 42:50
Supurb !
This guy could probably make his guitar talk.
Yes that is the goal. After enough practicing your instrument should walk the walk blow by blow top that
No pick love it, who needs a fuckin pick
