I saw them in California and they jammed. Saw them on Mob Rules too with Outlaws. They jammed just like here. They could use the Sabbath name then before Sharon Oz owned it. Dio is in top form here. A trooper. A Rock Star.
When I clicked on this I thought to myself, "I'll bet they open with Mob Rules." I had to laugh as soon as they started playing, then I got a bit misty-eyed. This is an awesome concert. RIP RJD.
Last week I watched a lot of Dio and it took me back 35 years with teary eyes. His music is a huge part of my life and so is this line up of Black Sabbath. I miss RJD bad but his impact on this world will be eternal. Thanks for posting this show, they are killing it.
blackmore/dio , iommi/dio, dio/campbell, what more do you need. thanks to yt you have access to all of his work and hardly a day goes by without dio in my life. heaven and hell will be played when they are putting me 6ft. under. hoping i will sit close enough to him on some cloud to hear him sing forever;)))
The little guy with the BIG voice! Watching him on stage with Rainbow in the 70's sold me on his music. Then he easily replaced Ozzie in Sabbath and took them into a different league. He turned them into a true supergroup. That's when I discovered Elf. RJD became and remains my favourite rock singer of all time. Even better than Plant, Jack Russel and Paul Rogers etc.
Music was stirred in Tony's mind, what an illusion artistically well accomplished ,afrinkingmazin....thx been a fan since 1960s70s80s90s010s++++++++++×++£○¥e
@Nirandorn Minrintara hard to replace the chemistry between Tony, Geezer and Bill. Even there were better drummers (Powell ...) then Bill in Black Sabbath, it did not worked the same way. Sad was not in shape for The End tour (the finnacial smokeshow was all bullshit, problem was elsewhere).
Saw Heaven & Hell in Sydney Australia when they toured down under. Absolutely awesome ! Black Sabbaths Heaven And Hell in my opinion is one of the greatest metal albums ever recorded! Dio took them to the next level 🇦🇺🤘🇦🇺
Lucky you, never got to see them. Yes! it is still my No 1 since 1980, and I have thousands of Heavy Metal albums. Kind Regards (from sunny Coast QLD).
Sabbath was born in my heart since the day I first listened, through all the years and never once have I ever never forever been diss - appointed, by the holy and annointed, Tony Iomi, Geezer Buttler, Ozzy, Dio... and of course, the many multi talented masters of percussion and power from Bill n Vinnie. Love you all for all eternity!! You made my day the past 1/2 a century's worth of commercial free, real intent!!!😊
Sorry to nitpick, but this concert was actually recorded on July 30, 2009. (This DVD was released posthumously in late 2010.) Ronnie James Dio was diagnosed with stomach cancer later that year, and their final performance with him was in late August 2009. Heaven & Hell was planning to perform in 2010 after Ronnie got some R&R after undergoing cancer treatments, but unfortunately Ronnie's health declined and he died on May 16, 2010. Thank you for posting this awesome concert video!!! I need to get this on DVD.
If I remember right the 2010 tour w/Dio was cancelled due to his cancer diagnosis. Some dates were played after he died with Glenn Hughes on vocals. This is most likely the Wacken Festival from 2009. Either way a few months later he was diagnosed with cancer and died. He sounds at the top of his game here.
What an epic performance... the band sounds awesome!! Ronnie in all his glory, and the riff master Iommi, killing it!! Gezzer and Vinnie holding it all together
Ronny JD was one of a kind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We, even in East Germany, growing up with there music!! Smuggling LP`s from West Germany . Kind a "living on the Edge"!!

Fantastic show...excellent recording...great job! Tony Iommi really is one of the greatest rock guitarists that ever lived...so glad I came across this vid...reminds me of Black Sabbath's genius...and Dio is excellent, as usual!
Hanging out in downtown Lexington, Kentucky one night back in the mid 90 's , paid 8 dollar cover at the door of some bar , they had a band , I get inside and holy mother effin hell it's Dio !!! Got to watch Ronnie from about 5 feet away , never forget it , metal God ,RIP.
BLACK SABBATH for what it was with DIO, was him being right at home in everything he did as Heaven &Hell . No one could ever take a way from him what he did in the band that was him. And the rest of the band had new life with Ronnie doing what he does best.
Iommi is a century defining artist and the most underrated guitarist in history. Heavy Metal, Alternative, Grunge, Goth, everything outside of mainstream rock, he invented it.

April 17, 2024 still cranking it as loud as it goes. Dio is and will always be the best hands down
These guys were monsters…. True Masters of Metal.
What a solo there by Tony on "I", brilliant. Dio aready sick here, but as a Metal God, he gives his all. RIP my friend, see you on the Other Side. Thanks for the upload 🤘
Words don’t describe this kinda of Mastery/ Magic/ musicianship. Forever the the foundation of METAL.
Tony Iommi, what an incredible player.....well, they all are. We miss you, Ronnie!!
The whole band kicks ass also think of how old these fellows are there all in great shape awesome performers
But Deo is in his sixties probably late 60s singing as great as he could what a loss to the world when he passed
I pray the rest are well Getting Old sucks I’m 65 and can’t even remember all their names never mind all the songs
Lyrics but their still one of the best
he was 66 with four stage cancer here
year before his death:/
I saw them in California and they jammed. Saw them on Mob Rules too with Outlaws. They jammed just like here. They could use the Sabbath name then before Sharon Oz owned it. Dio is in top form here. A trooper. A Rock Star.
Great. !
When I clicked on this I thought to myself, "I'll bet they open with Mob Rules." I had to laugh as soon as they started playing, then I got a bit misty-eyed. This is an awesome concert. RIP RJD.
Tony & Geezer are awesome. They played together most of there lives. Good team.
Last week I watched a lot of Dio and it took me back 35 years with teary eyes. His music is a huge part of my life and so is this line up of Black Sabbath. I miss RJD bad but his impact on this world will be eternal. Thanks for posting this show, they are killing it.
blackmore/dio , iommi/dio, dio/campbell, what more do you need. thanks to yt you have access to all of his work and hardly a day goes by without dio in my life. heaven and hell will be played when they are putting me 6ft. under. hoping i will sit close enough to him on some cloud to hear him sing forever;)))
sane here brother
\
Same here brother from another mother.
Man, I miss Dio soooo much
The little guy with the BIG voice!
🐈⬛🐟🕛🪐🌀🌬🌫🌟🌞🌟🪢🎭😊😊😊
Vinnie Appiece is one of the good drummers and good line up for Sabbath, still miss Bill Ward in the old days.
Vinny Appice better
@@shahrulhaidi3782 Finnie Caprice better
@@shahrulhaidi3782 no
@Nirandorn Minrintara hard to replace the chemistry between Tony, Geezer and Bill.
I was so lucky to c Sabbath with Dio at San Jose 🙏❤️💎
Can´t just believe!! Almost 10 years since Dio´s Departure!!!
We miss you master!!! Long Live Rock n´ Roll!!! Long Live King Dio!!!
this makes going through this pandemic bearable
Just love it. Legends forever 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Put on the earphones...clearly hear a 2nd guitar (for example during Iommis solo in Mob rules)... Fattens up the sound! Brilliant
Geoff Nichols plays behind the screens: guitar and keys
Yea, was wondering about that too. Definitely a second guitar in there.
@@hermanhelmich RIP GEOFF amazing musician
Nothing could be louder than Tony's Tone
I love geezers Sound on the Lakeland five string!!🤘🤘♠️
RJD = GOD - what a fucking lineup. What a sound. What a concert!
O melhor que já vi em todos os meus anos.
R.I.P. - The KING of Metal, Ronald James DIO. His music lives on! He will live in our hearts FOREVER!!!
Sorry to nitpick, but this concert was actually recorded on July 30, 2009. (This DVD was released posthumously in late 2010.)
Ronnie James Dio was diagnosed with stomach cancer later that year, and their final performance with him was in late August 2009.
Heaven & Hell was planning to perform in 2010 after Ronnie got some R&R after undergoing cancer treatments, but unfortunately Ronnie's health declined and he died on May 16, 2010.
Thank you for posting this awesome concert video!!! I need to get this on DVD.
surely he would have had it by this point though?
Thanks for information. It's information so hard for all rocks unit.
Amazon has live heaven and hell discs along with DVDs.
😥
If I remember right the 2010 tour w/Dio was cancelled due to his cancer diagnosis. Some dates were played after he died with Glenn Hughes on vocals. This is most likely the Wacken Festival from 2009. Either way a few months later he was diagnosed with cancer and died. He sounds at the top of his game here.
W:O:A 2009 is correct.
@@ilakresfengsel yeah I watched it and was like: Wait, thats the Wacken-Head, but RJD died in May, something must be wrong here...
Live for today tommorow never comes
I got to see him one last time at Graspop Metal Meeting '09. Same tour, goosebumps listening to this, still miss him. \,,/
Geezer sure does a great job handling the rhythm parts during Tony's solos. It's amazing 👏, and everyone's spot on.
Scott Warren guitar and keyboards live for Heaven and Hell
What an epic performance... the band sounds awesome!! Ronnie in all his glory, and the riff master Iommi, killing it!! Gezzer and Vinnie holding it all together
Ronny JD was one of a kind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We, even in East Germany, growing up with there music!! Smuggling LP`s from West Germany . Kind a "living on the Edge"!!
Soundtrack of my life … So glad I was on this tour able to see this incredible groups of talented musicians one more time. Rest in peace to the one and only RJD ❤🤘🏼
С П А С И Б О 🤘 🤘. Земля ему пухом. Лучший состав Black Sabbath. Я был на концерте в Чикаго..👍🤘🤘
Wow, sounds even better live than the studio albums, which were killer in their own right! Iommi’s tone is just monsterous
I think the same.
The opening scream gets me fired up every time. What a powerhouse of a band!!!!
Stunning! ....long live rock and roll...and metal ..... and individuality....namely, the rock crowd...respect to you all 🤘
The Best!!! fantastic!! 🤘
What a singer. Still sounds great this late in life. Amazing. Such a great loss to the metal world.
Geezer is an amazing bass player 😊
Ronnie, Tony, Geezer, Vinny geniales, lo máximo.
The best and the greatest Rock concert in history. The best band with the King of Rock vocalists.
Seen both classic Ozzy and RJD Sabbath from 1976 to 2009..
eight shows in that time period
Brilliant i was there in md merriwether post 12 rows back rt side when they camd around 2 times.i was at both shows.both were amazing
BLACK SABBATH for what it was with DIO, was him being right at home in everything he did as Heaven &Hell . No one could ever take a way from him what he did in the band that was him. And the rest of the band had new life with Ronnie doing what he does best.
There is no band that is better than this right now...
Oh how we love and miss you.🤘🎼🎵🎸
This Sabbath line up brings so many memories and such masterpiece in lyrics brings melancolic meaning.... Ok I can hold my tears... Long Live DIO
Fantastic live show!!!!! RIP Ronnie James Dio!!! Are you THE BEST FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Indescribably intense ! Real metal 👌
I was fortunate to see this show at Red Rocks in Colorado. What a concert!
My home
GREAT JOB ALL...THANX 4 MAKING Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO the music worldwide.
LOVE YOU ALL...!!!....MUCH LOVE.!!
Exilerating performance ! Way cool 👍
Tremendous stuff. Saw them with Bill in 1980, Vinnie in 81 , and 92 Dehuminizer and Heaven and Hell tour , Dio masterful always
Iommi is a century defining artist and the most underrated guitarist in history. Heavy Metal, Alternative, Grunge, Goth, everything outside of mainstream rock, he invented it.
WOW THIS IS AWSOME
Falling off the edge of the world......f$cking Epic! Every songs is, but that song gives me goosebumps.
