If I have a good running engine with a factory internal balanced forged steel crank,( it's a 440 mopar) and want to put pistons in for better compression, can I just make all the pistons rods pins weights exactly the same and get a quality engine ? (I won't hold you accountable if something goes wrong lol)
Good information and procedure, but the background noise is annoying in the extreme. I was glad when the video was over. Could have conveyed relevant information in about 1/3rd the time, too.
well the background music proves to show it is a busy business, they know what they are doing, and you are getting great information for free, so shut the fuck up ay mate
Not $1000. It cost about $400AUD for V6 balancing, difficult time consuming job. Many engine shops struggle to make money. Many can't survive and close. I am not an engine shop, just reporting what I experience and know.
Is your scale only accurate to .5g? Most scales are accurate to at least .1g and I've seen plenty accurate to .01 and .001g. Might improve your balancing quite a bit with a nicer scale.
. This makes the difference between a good engine builder and a bad one. Nice work there.
Are the rings weighed before or after they are filed to fit the cylinder bore?

I hear you although those who work in machine shops are tech heads not polished movie stars. If they were we wouldn't use them.

Indeed, like, i have a 0.001 weight for weighing drugs, lol
@@Impetuss FBI you're under arrest, come out with your hands up !
But money well spent, unless you want to run something mediocre
Wrong way to balance rods
Start shaving off the other parts.
$1000? Reemed!
Too much noise. No thanks.
turn off the damned sander while you're talking
cost about a grand, Nice 2 make a 1000 bucks in 4 hours.worse than fuckin dentists!!!
mmm, just buy the tools and do it yourself then....
4 hours? seems less than that. Also you can do this yourself, just get a good weight and something to shave off metal. Crankshaft however
