Look what an not shooting every decent animal does. We could really put some big records down if we just all took pride in our animals

This buck is older than 5 yrs. He is looking really thin in the hind quarters and you can see his thin rib cage area and neck also. .. I would age him at 6 1/2 to 7 yrs.
Bucks usually don't evaluate your wheeze or grunt. It's just to get their attention.....then you need a mix of buck urine and doe estrus pee......that gets them walking to you....then they make the mistake. I've found the grunt is the best....forget the rest of the calls....must have pee during rut unless you are just plain lucky that day.....The big pressured bucks don't like moving in the day unless they are with an estrus doe. Estrus and buck urine will pull them out of their hidden spot.

Maybe deer are smarter than previously suspected. The buck keeps looking over towards the camera yet the overhead prop plane draws little, if any, attention. That's not a sound associated with nature. Doesn't even glance upwards or tilt his head.
