    Thanks for this one Al, I've got the standard one and maybe slightly prefer it to the Luna in hand, the Ti one is next on my list ❤🔪

    Sure if you get some sandpaper too that backspring you can fettle it down into the flush position. Sold me on the Luna. Real Steel and UK legal keep up the great work.

    Hey mate, enjoying your videos a lot! Have you ever experienced the spring breaking in any of your slipjoints? Just asking because those Chinese folders like J.E. Made Knives don't offer a long time warranty.
    Greetings from Berlin :)

      I've never had a spring break on me, although I don't put them through much more than cardboard so I don't imagine there's a lot of strain on them. Cheers for watching!

    Hey dude, very nice review. I'm considering this knife and I love the stonewash effect on the blade but noticed both premium versions on the Heinnie website describe it as a satin finish and don't look quite like yours in the photos. Is that just the lighting in their photos or is your version no longer available do you think? Cheers.

      So I've had a look, if you look at the 5th picture ( cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-zv2yzuk65y/images/stencil/608x608/products/30021/124175/RES-9051det__56545.1628255863.jpg?c=1 ) on the non-satin one ( heinnie.com/real-steel-stella-premium/ ) and zoom in you can see the stonewash effect on the blade, this is the model I purchased. This picture also shows it very well: cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-zv2yzuk65y/images/stencil/608x608/products/30021/124170/RES-9051det3__81712.1628255863.jpg?c=1

    Nice pair of vids!! Think i prefer the Trailblazer on looks alone. Just picked up a CRKT Folts Minimalist Bowie. Only because it's the Cthulhu one with glow in the dark scales... I have to say though, the factory edge is pretty good after a quick strop (that i do to every new knife, it's not a serious sharpening attempt). I do wonder if the graphic of Cthulhu on the blade means it falls under the definition of a "zombie knife"?

    • @UKLegalCarryKnives
      @UKLegalCarryKnives  2 роки тому +1

      Zombie knife is a hopelessly vague term, I daresay it would fall completely to the discretion of whichever authority discovered it at the time.

    Hey bud - just noticed that there are two versions of the Stella Premium on Heinne Haynes (the Premium and the Premium Satin). Both seem exactly the same with a slight colour/texture difference between the scales - but both titanium). Small price difference and wondered if you had any idea why one was more expensive than the other? Any idea which one you reviewed above? Thanks a lot

    • @UKLegalCarryKnives
      @UKLegalCarryKnives  2 роки тому +1

      I've been looking at them and for the life of me I can't understand why! Maybe the blade finish on the non satin is time heavy?

    • @Ziggy-gh4pn
      @Ziggy-gh4pn 2 роки тому

      @@UKLegalCarryKnives strange hey? I messaged Heinnie Haynes and they said it was just the scales that were a little different, not the blade. Oddly, the scales on the satin look better finished than the non satin..

  • @randomreviewz2628
    @randomreviewz2628 2 роки тому +1

    Do you still use/like this knife? I've just seen the satin version land on Heinnie and i'm torn. I don't like the clip and I think the g-slip might suit me better

    • @UKLegalCarryKnives
      @UKLegalCarryKnives  2 роки тому

      I am still using and carrying it, I do quite like it so far but the g slip looks good as well, it might even end up being my next review actually. Go with your gut, the Stella is an excellent knife but it's also significantly more expensive and if you already don't like the clip on it.

    If you can remember, would you recommend a böker plus wasabi g10? Or would you prefer another legal carry one hand flicker? Thanks

    • @UKLegalCarryKnives
      @UKLegalCarryKnives  2 роки тому +1

      I can recommend the Wasabi, it's a well priced sleek design with an excellent action and sharp blade out of the box, it's main rival would likely be the Yon Xanadu flipper.

    Hi
    I wonder if you could help me
    I have a Redford RUT and a Spartan Blades Nymph that I purchased new from HH
    I’d like to sell them but have no idea where I can do this as obviously can’t use eBay
    Thanks in advance

      By far your best bet would be the buy & sell forums over at edgematters.uk/board/23-edge-matters-marketplace/ You'll need to buy a subscription to the site to sell though it is extremely inexpensive (from £5 a year)

      The Luna is thinner behind the cutting edge, so it cuts better. The Stella is thicker, so I would always go for the Luna. Besides, there are also Luna versions with Böhler m390, so for me there is more to be said for the Luna.
      Cheers

    I really didn’t like the Luna, though to be fair, I only had the G10/D2 version. This looks better, but i think I still think I prefer the Ti/S35vn Zipslip. It has a real advantage in being naturally one hand opening, and not needing those horrendous thumb studs… i quote HRH Prince Charles “a monstrous carbuncle on the face of a much loved and elegant friend!”

    I received the newer 'satin' blade version last week & I have a definite problem with the clip. The matt treatment to the surfaces of both the scales & the clip makes them VERY grippy, along with a meager gap you have to positively force the clip over the top of your pocket & then to the depth of the clip, & that's on relatively lightweight chino's, & removing is just as hard, I'm concerned not to rip my pocket. If you were wearing any kind of heavier denim then you would expect to damage them in a short time. Very poorly considered design.
