Love this knife. I've looked everywhere for a Hinderer thumb disk for it but no where seems to sell them. I know Heinnie used to sell them but it seems they don't anymore.
Good looking knife at a great price. I have held off getting one so far and today Heinnie released their Penfold; great time to be a collector. You have a very nice UK legal collection.
I usually carry a Lionsteel Bestman in my jeans 3rd pocket. I picked a HH red after watching your review for a concealed carry in my work chinos and casual shorts. Content much appreciated!
I’m in the US and came across your channel. I love the knives you review! I’m getting into slip joints more and more. White Mountain Knives over here has this Luna in jade G10 for $29.
Thanks for the heads-up on the H special - just love the red scales and the simplicity of design. From the look of the blade thickness I think this will cope with heavier duty tasks than my usual EDC knives and great that it is UK legal. Enjoyed the review, and looking forward to the next one.
After finally managing to get hold of the Titanium version as soon as I saw this Heinnie special I had to have it ,it’s going to be my new edc . Heinnie are not doing the Hinderer thumb disk anymore I’m going to have to stick with the kwikstud I guess .
I had just said to a mate that I'm going to have to get both this one and the carbon fibre one, then saw that you had just posted their reviews, for a budget knife I don't think I you can go wrong with the D2 version. Cool review thanks Al.
Great video again 👍🏼! For sure going to look into that hinderer stud, as now you have shown me that well I really like it 👌🏼. Yes I am also a bit disappointed that there is no HH logo on the blade 🤷🏼♂️!
Thx so much for the great review! I've just ordered the HH red & Blue G10 from HH... don't mind the extra $ for the tax & shipping @ all. These Luna's are Great! I've got the KC White & will probably order the TI here in the States. 💌👱♀️
@@UKLegalCarryKnives Im not fussed about what looks friendly as long as it is legal. I've heard a few people have have the backspring break on the Boker. if I could find a thumb stud for the luna id probably order one. (putting a basket together on HH as im typing this)
I want to buy a Heinnie Luna for edc, but I just feel that I should maybe go for the CRKT CEO instead due to the Luna looking more aggressive than the CEO for UK. Whats your thoughts?
Do you have to loosen the main bolt in order to open one handed with the thumb screw? I just bought the HH Luna and it feels too stiff to open with a stud. Do they naturally loosen up over time?
I’ve been saving for the titanium Luna, but Heinnie have been out of stock for ages, amazed to see this for just £30, went straight in the basket, absolute bargain. Still deciding whether to get the Ti Luna or a Slipstream. 🤔 Maybe both? 🤣
Looks good, but not for me. I feel like I’ve got too many budget knives already so this year I’m aiming for a few higher priced options and that’s all.
Fair play to you man, definitely the smarter move, I'm not smart though so I'm still enjoying playing around with all sorts, even if turns out to be rubbish haha
A week or so ago, I settled on the Luna CF... but rather preferred the BladeHQ version with silver rather than cooper/bronze metalwork. Happily I have a friend in America, as BladeHQ won't ship to the UK. Even with shipping it to him, and then him on to me, total cost was around £100, a fair saving on the UK price. Two days later, HH release this one for 30 quid.... 🤣
Hi mate! Recently got in to knives. Looking for one budget (up to £100) decent everday UK carry. Currently deciding between the Twisted Junzi and the original Luna in Ti. Which would your money be on? Cheers mate
Both choices are excellent, the Luna has slightly better steel but is 2 hand opening, the Junzi has a really nice action and I believe is cheaper, honestly, you can't go wrong with either!
Thanks mate! Hard choice for me. I love how easily the Junzi opens and closes, as well as the finger safety feature. However I prefer the look and materials of the Luna. I think it's a case of get both and have two great knives to switch between! Thanks for replying. Love the videos
Depends who you get it from, some places like Medford, its incredible! Some places (like my old RAT 2 D2) it's pretty poor, Realsteel seem alright but I'd have to put some time into it to say if this D2 has a good heat treat, I'll of course reflect this in my final review.
In the USA, you can get this Luna in natural green jade G10 with D2 blade for $29.99 at White Mountain Knives. It's a White Mountain Exclusive. View various UA-cam knife reviewers for their code to save 10%.
I believe they're doing a whole series across the world, I'd expect a blue bladehq model, some tools for gents model, be interesting to see who gets which colours!
I love the red!!! Luna is a great little knife!!
Just waiting on mine been 4days our post is terrible at the minute. Looks good though. Atb paddy 👍☘️😃
Awaiting this being delivered! Was hoping it would come today but wasn’t to be! Cheers for the review 👍🏻

Nice knife thanks for showing us
Very cool knife. I really like the looks of the red handle. Cheers!
Just bought the HH version. It’s a bargain! Extremely sharp straight out of the box.
Bought one before coming half-way through the video. Looks like a nice and practical knife.

Where do I buy a thumb disk like the hinderer UK?

where can you get a Hinderer thumb stud?
I believe they no longer sell them separately unfortunately
I've just ordered this really good price 👍
Any idea where you can still get those thumb discs from? Seems less bulky than then quick stud.
From Hinderer direct appears to be the only place now sadly
Where can you get the hinderer thumb disc from separately? I can't find them anywhere.
Order direct from Hinderer by sending an email, you used to be able to buy it from HH but I see it's now unlisted.
Thank you
What is it you use when you add your one hand opening studs to your slippys?
It's called a Kwik thumbstud: heinnie.com/kwik-thumb-stud
should I get this or the Boker XS drop point ?
I'd get this personally since its more UK friendly than the XS, that said, both are good!

Polish designer 👌 great knife ☝️
Pretty cool is it worth getting it with the d2 though?
I'm curious as i might get myself 1
Thank you for sharing
At £30 (or less with Paddy's code) absolutely yes!
I think HH have discontinued the hinderer thumb disc :( notshown on the site and has disappeared from my wish list.
I've just seen that as well 😓 you might still be able to order it from Hinderer direct with a nice email.

@@UKLegalCarryKnives I'm curious about the detachable thumb disk. I've been scouring the web, but no luck.
@@erso3302 Hinderer has ceased selling them separately unfortunately. You'd need to buy an XM slippy to get one now I believe
