I have the Compustar 2 way alarm system and it is sooo sensitive! I’ve brushed against my car walking past it and the alarm sounds. It will also sound if a somewhat strong breeze causes movement or if a car passes it while it’s parked. Can be annoying but I certainly feel more confident with it!
That does sound a bit too sensitive. We have a help article on our website titled "Adjusting Compustar/Arctic Start Alarm Shock Sensor" with instructions on how to adjust your digital shock sensor or you can contact your installer to have this sensor adjusted.

Im not Happy with this alarm Have had issues with starting and now it don't arm it self. Have purchased 3 viper auto start alarms for other Vehicles and no issues period!
I have a 2017 Kia Soul and had the Compustar 752A installed. I wish they came with programmable door unlock. I don't like the fact that it unlocks all the doors. I wish you could program one click for driver door only then a second click for all the rest. That's how my car was programmed before Compustar. The installer didn't know the answer to this. This is a security issue.
This is a setting you can add, it's called "Driver's priority unlock". The dealer will need to reflash your brain, but it will do exactly that.
Update to those who have hybrid keyless entry. The kill switch does not apply to your car. They can still drive away with your car. But the alarm will work.

What is hybrid keyless entry? If the starter is disengaged, no they can't start your car and they can't drive away.

I’ve been tossing around the idea of getting this installed in my Kia. Mine does not have an immobilizer as a result of the design flaw.
I just need to figure out how long I’m keeping the car to determine if this is worth installing. I also haven’t heard of any theft around my area yet.
Immobilizers are not included in most vehicles today. They should be though!!!
It's worth it. Getting your car stolen will cost 10x more and cause 1000x more stress.
should have backed a car into and hit the front or rear bumper to trigger the shock sensor. Don't know if will it trigger the alarm? Also, where is the shock sensor(s) placed/mounted? Does the sensor alarm go off when hit the back wheel well fender? Is there a method or control feature to decrease and increase sensor sensitivity?
Yes, impact from another vehicle will definitely trigger the shock sensor, even at relatively low sensitivity.

I just had this installed a week ago. I have toyota sienna 2023. And the shock alarm, tilt alarm, starter kill and glass break alarm does not work. I did test it the way you demonstrated, no response. I went back to the authorized installer they did some flashing. But nothing was fixed. The problem is still there. I did tried to reach out to your customer support, no response either. Is there anybody can help me?
Please reach out to your installer again and have them test that each sensor is working properly. If the problem persists, contact our customer support at help.compustar.com/s/contactsupport.
Just changing your cars battery disables the remote so it won't work. Make a video on that so i don't have drive 45 minutes to the shop to reprogram your remotes. Or put a little battery in the main unit so this doesn't happen.
We have heard that this can happen with newer vehicles - this does require a visit to the original installer in some cases.

What kind of Kia or Hyundai do you drive?
2012 Kia optima 3 times the window has been broken. The third steal attempt they managed to get the wheel lock off and destroyed the steering column. They couldn't start the car so I'm thinking get rid of the car or install one of these alarms. Does any of these compustar alarms have a distance warning alarm also ?
Which exact product is it?
These are standard alarm features that are available with all Compustar security systems. The remote displayed on this video is called the Compustar T12, or 2WT11R-SS.
where did you mount the DAS-2? on the windshield?
Usually mounted under the dash or around the headliner. Key is that it is not visible and not in the way of any airbags.

Doesn't it make sense to merge the factory horn and siren for a car alarm? This way, you'll generate a lot of noise.

Hello. I got this system installed on my hyundai 2015 at a pro installer. For some reason the killer starter does not work. I can still start the car even with the alarm being armed, it goes off but i can still start it. Only when i trigger the factory alarm which has the hyundai upgrade prevents the car from starting. The pro dealer said this is normal. Is this how the starter kill works?
had this installed in my 2020 Jeep when I got it in 2020 .. starter kill works , once alarm is armed my Jeep doesn’t start . Sounds like the installer messed that up for you .id go back and have them fix it .
They probably did not install the E-LOCK relay
Can you use oem key ?
The T12 remote used in this video features 2-way alarm alerts, which are displayed on the remote's LCD screen. You would not receive these same notifications on an OEM key.
DO NOT BUY FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES!
This is worthless. Insurance companies are requiring "Passive" immobilizers. On this one you have to manually arm the immobilizer, which means it is "Active".
In fact, Compustar offer an upgrade which, to quote compustar's own product page, "allows you track your vehicle in the event you forget to arm your security system and your vehicle is stolen." ... they themselves admit your car is gonna get stolen if you forget to arm the system. Which is why insurance is requiring PASSIVE immobilizers!
People buy our alarms for peace of mind and convenience - not only insurance.
