This is one of the few times Andy Gibb appeared with his brothers, The BeeGees. Andy is only 18 years old here and his solo career was about to explode him into superstardom. RIP Andy. We miss you.
I loved Andy too. My sister got me hooked on the Bee Gees. She was 4yrs older than me so she had the jump on me when it came to music 🎶 🎶
Seeing Andy onstage with his brothers is pure magic.❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I dare you not to dance to this one.
"You should be dancing"makes your heart beat to the music.
John Travolta....could watch this all day. He danced every movie he ever made, from disco to country.
Your smile when you're listening Bee Gees' music is a greatest symbol 👍👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩Bee Gees are the Gods of music forever, forever🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Barry Gibb, the lead singer who is the oldest brother is the only one now living. The youngest brother, Andy, died at age 30 unexpectedly. Barry's brother Maurice (on the keyboards) passed in 2003 suddenly. His brother Robin passed in 2012 from cancer. This week (Jan. 8) Barry is releasing an album, "Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook, Volume 1", of some of the greatest Bee Gee songs they recorded.
That's John Travolta dancing, in his (much) younger days.
I remember him being very popular in those days. Also him being in two other movies that had popular sound tracks Grease and Urban Cowboy.
It's only mandatory that you react to '' TOO MUCH HEAVEN '' be prepared to have your mind blown by their signature harmonic , smooth vocals a true classic.
The Brothers Gibb owned that stage.Just seeing the Bee Bees up in lights in the back brought so much excitement.
DISCO was too awesome. Great energies! Happy to have spent my weekends partying. In the 70s we didn't care about white or black, we just wanted to party and listen to great music and dance!
Loved the 80;s they were the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please listen to their music back in the 60's. You won't be disappointed!
Your smile says everything
I love this version, their little brother Andy joined them and it was great. He was supposed to join the band but died from a heart infection.
Brother if you Really want to be impressed by the Bee Gees you have to do " Too Much Heaven" believe me its 💯% Classic. You will hear one of the best falsetto songs ever. Believe me bro. 👌👍💖. You will give them a 20 for this song!!
Even if you can't dance, some bones gotta' move. hahaha lol
so agree with you, its nice to see younger people appreciating the music from the 70's which lets face it has had a rough time
I'm 69 and I WAS dancing to all the music of that time🙂
This is from the movie Saturday Night Fever & as someone mentioned that is a very young John Travolta dancing in a clip from the movie.
Well said !! nice to hear a young guy liking the music from the 70s , trust me i was there for this and it was awesome !!
Loved the Bee Gees forever!!
The Bee Gees scaled the upper reaches of the Black Singles and Album charts in the late 70's. They even had a Top 40 Country hit in 1979!
Nights On Broadway Jive Talkin' Fanny Be Tender
YES, to all 3 of these, all my favorites!!!
@@sandyleewhite Aw thanks so much ,they are great and from the same album MAIN COURSE ..That was when they really changed their sound a lot ...
Can never go wrong with the Brothers Gibb.
The 4th Singer was Andy Gibb the Bee Gees Youngest Brother.
I remember Andy being popular when I was middle school. I also remember him being the host of Solid Gold.
Please react to TOO MUCH HEAVEN by the beegees thanks
I think this is THEE BEST video/audio you could have possibly watched and listened to.
So much talent in one family of boys. Theu have 1 sister who sometimes sings in background.
Wow! Great Bee Gees! Thanks for the reaction!
I love Nights On Broadway. Song came out just before they came out with their disco hits. I love it!
Too bad we lost Andy so early in his young life. I was a teen when they were popular. I was a rock dude and didn’t dance until later in life. Boy did I miss out.🥲
Ya gotta see Saturday Night Fever which featured all their disco songs.
Try "Too Much Heaven", one of their best. Really showcases their vocals and harmonies. Literally heavenly.
When disco was king!
Love the way you wait to the end and do a detailed reaction.
Very good!! React For whom the bell tolls live Bee Gees...
Many will suggest the later Bee Gees hits to you. But if you really want to know the Bee Gees, you need to go all the way back to their 60's hits... Massachusetts, New York Mining Disaster, To Love Somebody, Living In Chicago, Lonely Days, etc then you will really understand the level of talent and creativity they were capable of. You really don't know them until you do this.
It was a lot of fun dancing to the BeeGees at a club and disco, good memories.
Love that it has Andy with them!! Keep it going!!
🤣🤣 "Tight pants and Jesus hair!!" Love it! 💃💃
"Tight Pants"...We were all slim back then. I don't know what happened!!!!!
The movie Saturday night fever has great Bee Gees songs.
Aww.. love the this!! At this live performance their you get brother Andy joined them💔😢 He passed away really young...he was on his way to a great solo legacy too. You should react to Andy..."Love is thicker than water"
My first concert ever was the Bee Gees with all four Brothers ,amazing
This would be the movie Saturday Night Fever the movie and song that slung Jon Travolta and BeeGees on the map and super stardom. The BeeGees little brother Andy Gibb sang on this song but was a star himself as a solo career. Sadly the two brothers not the lead singer have passed RIP and Andy passed back in the 80's from a drug overdose which the 3 older brothers never got over. I was a professional dancer as a kid back in the 70's and would win dance club dance off's to this song same dance as your watching in clubs that looked just like this. There will never be an Era like this again nothing but love amd true hearts! Great react guy 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Yes that's John Travolta dancing in the movie Saturday Night Fever.. All BGs music in that movie.
Night fever! Funky AF!!! 😊
The Bee Gees were every bit as talented as that other British band from Liverpool.
Try one of their 60's songs, " To love somebody"...bulk& white video available on Utube will give you some more of their range...they didn't always do disco. I love everything they put out.
I really appreciate your on honesty on one if the must notable times in music
Another great reaction…..& guess I’ll add my 2 cents worth! First, whoever put together this video (which everyone uses), is incorrect on the year. The song actually did come out in 1976, but all the dance scenes are from the 1977 Saturday Night Fever movie. All the Bee Gees concert footage here is from their 1979 Spirits Having Flown tour, which was shot in Oakland for a tv special to be shown later that year. And btw, in an interview a couple years ago Barry was asked about the “tight white pants”……when he disclosed he still has them but last time he tried them on….they didn’t quite fit🤣!!
Their little brother Andy was in this one.
First they thought of themselves as song writers. They were amazing writers.
EVERYBODY got on the dance floor for this one back in the day!!! What a groove with the horns, strings, and winds!! Travolta had an Oscar nomination in this movie.
The only other two Disco songs of the Bee Gees I can think of are More than a Woman and Night Fever. Disco was really big when I was in middle school, which was 1976 to 1979, and was really big at my middle school. I don't remember many people listing to rock at that school. If you want more disco songs, look at other groups and singers. I don't know if you heard of KC and the Sunshine Band, Chic, Donna Summers (The Queen of Disco), Sister Sledge, Peaches and Herb, Village People and more.
Try to react to Boogie Wonderland by Earth Wind & Fire.its another group with catchy hits like september & lets groove
That actual concert we just saw was in Houston in 1979. Younger brother Andy joined them on stage for that song. Also John Travolta joined them on stage also during the concerts. He was in Houston at that time filming Urban Cowboy. It was a double treat for all of us that were there. The venue was The Summit where the Houston Rockets played. Again I really enjoy your channel and reactions. As a child I had no idea how iconic this day in June, 1979 would be.
Thanks for not breaking in on the recording!!
Lol they can wear the tight pants. Takes a minute to get use to that era. Your forgivin. Chute im a white 54 year old grew up with them from 14 ish i still cant get use to the frigging voices that come out of their look.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your smile says it all. Boomer music yeah!
I give your reaction a 10 as well! Spot on! Just liked and subscribed to your channel..we should be DANCING YEA!!!🕺🎶🎵
The original song was from 1976. The live footage in the clip is from 1979 but the sound is of the 1976 studio recording. So this isn't the actual live sound; the real sound to the concert footage you can find here ua-cam.com/video/C5Bu4aZ4-DU/v-deo.html
I recommend to much heaven.
you need to do Tragedy next
The brothers actually wrote their songs a little differently. They wrote the melody then the words. I knew they started singing early, but recently found out that they actually started in 1955. They were called The Rattlesnakes. Amazingly, Barry was 9 years old and the twins were only 6 years old. Andy wouldn't even be born until 1958.
The Hustle! We had a teen disco in town. Every Saturday night. 🤣❤
Great job!!!
DAM....Put em on boi😉😂
Please react to Jive takin
LOL ... ''the jesus hair''.
I miss the red background....toby keith wanna talk about me
It's a shame Barry lost all his brothers. 5:26 5:28
They have written thousands of songs...hundreds for other artists...
Try The Beach Boys
Bee Gees, emotion is u want to check out a slow song.
i guess why you are so hard triggered by this song, it is one of this rare cross border songs - so black, so much soul, 100% black music from a bunch of white dudes. 😆 the all time favorite song from the Brothers Gibb of Prince, Michael Jackson & Nile Rodgers, one of the most talented black musicians (Chic) was so massive influenced by the Brothers Gibb - see him here in the middle: ua-cam.com/video/YJhyd4fJtas/v-deo.html 🔥
Live?? No!!!!
