kill a dragon saying " FUA RO DAH"
absorbs the dragon soul
look at your right and see a guard
"got to thinking maybe l am the dragonborn and l just dont know it yet"
What if he is a dragonborn too but you already took the soul first before he can?
YOU ARE A DISPISE TO HUMANITY YOU SAID FUA RO DAH BUT ITS FUS RO DAH!!!!!!!
Handsome Banana mind blown
AlexanderFlame420 You write better in dovah than in English
Handsome Banana but only the dragonborn can absorb the soul
I know exactly how Alduin felt when the Nords used Dragonrend on him.
Go to a Chinese restaurant and ask for some salt on your rice. The angry Chinese chef screaming at you while holding, what can only be described as, a machete covered in chicken blood will give you a pretty clear picture of what Dragonrend does to dragons.
+MickMaan Best comment!
HAHAHAHAHAHA! I did the same thing only I have one arm now.
+bladske IKR
I'd rather have butter than salt, although the butter I use is salted...
😂
Don't forget the fact that by absorbing the dragon souls you prevent the dragons from getting reincarnated as told by the blades.
it's true
Or the fact the part at 3:30 is completely wrong.
The thalmor didn't just "beat skyrim's armies", they beat *the whole fucking empire that hadn't already succeeded's armies*
Can we just take a minute to think about just how fucking clever Bethesta is like it is actually amazing
already did
there were actually 2 men who did all the work and bethesta made a game by their idea and on of the creator of the game died of brain cancer or something like that
+AAKGaming almost right, those two people made concept art and the map ( the the map when tou press "M") not the story
Bethesda > GJJm
i would like it better if they didn't do the steroitypical "dragons are evil" crap and had a choice for joining alduin in consuming this world to restart a new, and better one...then the whole "dragon soul" thing would actually be useful and no dragon would be "perma killed" (least until asshat slayer dies)
You say its the story we never knew...
... But what will happen if I watch this 2 times?
That's almost as bad as dividing by zero
Alejandro Gonzalez what's bad about dividing by zero, it just gives you a infinite number :p
noci2830 You technically don't get infinity. In a science class they might say "just think of it as infinity" to avoid overcomplication (it's kind of a technicality in the math world more than anything. The result is a number that actually doesn't exist, not infinity. It's kinda similar but the former has some really weird shit associated with it.
TheArnoldification
oh right, thx for clarifying, mathclass has been a while :p
noci2830 Basically, if you're not into math, try avoiding conversations about infinity like the plague. It's a lot more complicated than you think.
When you already knew the lore before watching this.
And if you don't know the lore the entire game gets spoiled.
+Arabische nederlander This video is for people who definitely don't understand the elder scrolls lore.
Absolutely agree!
Like... What is this?
I get its suppose to expand the lore/story of the game, but it comes off more as a parody on the Dragonball Z "Last time..." - Catch up.
It doesnt really expand the story either, its more of a fast-forward of what happens in the main questline.
"You go here, then do this, then go here, then do this insert jokes/puns!"
Throw in some review/first-impression-esk commentary and you've got yourself this video??
Is this video for people that dont want to play the game but still wanna know the lore?
Anyone that's actually played the game and havent had the sound on mute will already know all this...
Who's this video for?!
The only part worth while is the oblivion part at the end of the video.
Could easily skip the first 10min and loose nothing for anyone that's done no more than already read the back of the skyrim disc box.
Mythix the Dragon lol
Basically me right there.
the story you never knew. the story I already know
lol true
SkyRider gaming
Anyone who puts a single hour would know this shit. He just click baited us -.-
a truth from M'aiq The Liar!
When he kills parnaturax, arngeir just talk this, YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE! IT WAS SAID YOU COME TO SAVE THE WORLD NOT DESTROY HIM! BRING BALANCE TO THE THU'UM! NOT LEAVE INTO DARKNESS!
Hahahhahahahha
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) nice
another one
Delphine: ONCE MOOORE THE BLADES, WILL RUUUULE TAMRIEL! AND, WE SHALL HAVE, SEPTIMS!
Nobel need new category
I don't get it
2:35 : Wrong. Dovahkiin is, as every dragon name, made of three words. Dov Ah Kiin or Dragon Hunter Born. In a more lore heavy view, he is the opposite of Alduin, born to help Shor and hunt the children of Akatosh (his own father).
9:55 : The Dovahkiin and the Septim share only the title of dragonborn, for they're completely different. The Septims are blessed by Akatosh. Dovahkiin was born from Akatosh.
Also, Dovahkiin isn't entirely mortal. His soul is that of a divine, while his body may crumble to time it can be easily recovered in the vigor of his early days if need be.
7/10, good for casual players.
Dragonkind hunter born
Michael WIllis Yes, I used dragon as in all dragons.
Gabu - San Alright, sorry about that, I just wanted to get your terminology right.
Hobo Joel I never claimed perfection or the ability to make a better video. What I have, however, is the ability to judge it. You know, this "you can't do better" is a great example of why our society is so stupidly childish.
I just find you very arrogant, nothing more.
Noobs: "Can't wait for Skyrim 2."
No its skyrim 6. We are already at skyrim 5. Lol
Pervasive Burn No, I literally hear people wanting "Skyrim 2"
ArkayneShad0w I found someone on yahoo answers asking about the previous 4 skyrims. Another person told that skyrim, oblivion, etc. were separate series and skyrim 1 and 2 are extremely rare or some fucked up shit like that. I have no doubt that you actually heard people talking about it though.
Pervasive Burn No, I've seen comments saying: "What do you want in Skyrim 2?"
But those guys are even funnier. XD
It's Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, the next game with be Elder Scrolls 6: whatever.
The reason the dragonborn is so important isn't that he can use the voice its because he absorbs dragon souls preventing them from being brought back to life, the reason the greybeards are hyped about him is that dragonborns can naturally read and speak in dovahzul so the greybeards would be really excited to talk to the last dragonborn as he will be the last human ever to be have the same amount of power with the voice as a dragon
tell the story of those people who named their kid dovahkiin
It's not really worth a video because it can be summed up in just a few sentences.
@@supercat1887 more like a paragraph or 2
Loved this episode! Skyrim is one of my favourite games
Ryan Lamont That's great to hear man! Ours too. Fun fact: for a time all four of the Treesicle boys were playing Skyrim...only playing Skyrim. Not a single homework was done in that time.
Just waiting for the next elder scrolls game
Treesicle sounds brilliant!
Spelt Favorite wrong
Ryan Lamont STOP complementing on every video it's annoying
Here's another story that no one actually knew. The Dovahkiin, the last dragonborn to be more precise is the Avatar of Talos. As evidenced by the simple fact that dragons are capable of resurrection due to their immortal nature but dragonborn, whom are mortal flesh with an immortal soul could easily be brought back reincarnated as another sentient being (This is why you can choose the race of the dragonborn instead of it being forced on you)
But there's more, in a place in the reach called Old Hjroldan, if you rent the room tiber septim slept in, and sleep in the bed, a soul will appear into the Inn, petrifying the local innkeeper in fear. You will talk to this ghost and he will address you as Hjalti, another name Tiber Septim went by in his youth. "why is this significant? what does this have to do with the dragonborn being talos" i hear you ask, well if you look at any other spirit creature, None of them seem to be out of tune of the events that have happened nor are they ever confused about people they meet, those whom do not know you don't know you, and those that do know you, such as Kodlak whitemane's ghost in ysgramors tomb will recognize you if they've met you before in their life. The souls of the dead aren't also trapped in the mortal realm. they are in fact in any after life that has been waiting them while their residual selves have influence on the mortal plane, which means that if this Ghost Recognizes your spiritual being as the one he recognizes as Hjalti, this must be so.
Of course the avatar of Talos wouldn't remember the past life he's lived, mortals including the dragonborn do not see the world as the dovah do, so the reconstitution of mortal soul on the mortal realm would reset them in their memories. Also it is mentioned that some think that the dragonborn are sent by the gods themselves and this is too a nudge in the direction that suggests that the last dragonborn is in fact Talos reincarnate, the god of war and one who took the mantle of Lorkhan, in mortal life stabilized the world and took his place in divinity, came back after great many eras and saved the world a second time by slaying alduin, as it is said, divinity gives a person incomprehensible knowledge about the mechanics of the world. And Talos, one who achieved Chim. those who achieve chim such as vivec and Tiber Septim virtually Could see the world as an outside observant, past present, future and all before ascending, therefor deciding that it would be best if he would leave the mortal realm and return at the appropriate time, that is When alduing inevitably returned.
Also the fact that Talos replaced Lorkhan, he should be in Sovengarde sitting on Shor's (shor is the nordic version of Lorkhan) throne, yet he isn't. The throne stands empty, and the countless heroes of Sovengarde were specifically ordered to cull their rage and not charge alduin by Talos himself presumably, Possibly knowing he'd return to sovengarde to finish alduin. Also the fact that you state that you are to enter the hall of heroes by right of birth to Tsun but only those whom have passed on from mortality could ever do so. Yet the dragonborn is able. Not just because of his dragonblood but because he is the one meant to sit on that throne. Just not right now.
Does anyone else see this as a possibility? because i think it's way too coincidental to ignore.
John Blood already knew that
I love Dovahzul... :# It's the most beautiful language ever made for a fictional story in my opinion.
you sure Tolkien's elvish is pretty. great
what about Klingon?
lol klingon doesn't look like a flowing language :P
Twylite Fang its Draconic.
Renegade Gamer Nope... It's actually Dovahzul, canonically. Everyone who doesn't look into the lore calls it "draconic" simply because it's spoken by dragons. Dovahzul means "Dragon Voice"; Dovah means Dragon, and Zul means Voice/Mortal Voice. Get your facts fully right and ensure that they're right before you go sprouting what you *think* is fact rather than what you *know* to be fact, dude... Otherwise somebody with more knowledge on the subject matter will come up to you and basically just rip your statement out of your hands and tear it to shreds within a second. And I know how it feels to be told that you're wrong; I just decided to buck the trend of people who point that out and rather than simply slam your comment and insult you, instead expand your knowledge. Oh, and if you want to fact check what I said, go to thuum.org and then go to "language", then "translator" and punch in "Dovah zul". You could also say it as "Dovahvun" and it would work, if you're referring to the language as used on offensive Shouts such as Marked for Death or Unrelenting Force. I'm a major Skyrim lore buff, not so much the rest of the Elder Scrolls lore though; I know almost nothing about every province but skyrim :P I can tell you tons about Skyrim and the Dovahhe though ;P (And yes, that is the proper word for speaking about dragons as a collective; the syntax for plurals in Dovahzul is add another of the last letter in the word to turn into a plural and then add an E onto the end.)
parthernax is voiced by mario
mama mia
he voices alduin
Peter Tunbridge You sure? Cause Josh Jepson said it was Parthanax!
Anti-HyperLink josh is a cool guy
I didn't voiced Partthanaux..sorry
Between this video and the Legend of Zelda one you have officially earned me as a subscriber! This is now my second favorite You Tube show. Surpassed only by Game Theory.
Silence Mangrum Hey we love Game Theory too, we get it! We're just stoked to be in anyone's top favorite channels!
Treesicle your up on that list for me too haha especially with how humble you are lol
I'm sorry but shovel knight one beat game theory for me the feels gave me shivers
+Treesicle and another +1 Subs. Really Great vid.
You need to watch some more Game Theory then. Treesicle puts a lot of time into their videos, but Game Theory takes the cake. The Cortana video was cool and left me amazed, but game theory has that stunning effect every time I watch it. For instance how Game Theory proved without a shadow of a doubt, that Peach is the real villain of the Mario universe. Both channels are great, but I tend to learn a considerable amount more with Game Theory.
I've never played Skyrim but i REALLY LOVE TES. Just, the whole series has an epic, so meticulously detailed lore, that even sounds better than actual reality. It's the best lore i've ever seen in a game. And when i saw Oblivion in this video i almost fainted of nostalgia!
Just a few things I'd like to "correct." This video was awesome, otherwise
You talked about how the Imperials are puppets to the Thalmor, but that's actually false. It is revealed through a Thalmor Dossier that the Stormcloaks a puppets created by a brainwashed Ulfric Stormcloak in order to weaken the Empire.
The Septim Dynasty members and the Dovahkiin are not the same Type of Dragonborn, per se. The Septims share Dragon blood only as an inheritance from their TRUE Dragonborn ancestor, Tiber Septim (Talos). Tiber Septim, still, did not kill any dragons because they had died off long ago. The Dovahkiin has not only POTENT Dragon blood, but also the SOUL of a dragon. This allows him the special powers that the average Septim would not have. (Easily learning Dovahzul, Absorbing dragon souls, etc.)
The Voice and the learning of Dovahzul is no simple task. Learning the even simplest of Words takes constant practice and meditation that the Graybeards have been doing their whole life. Even learning one shout could take months, if not years of practice and meditation.
Overall, I loved this video. Just a few things I wanted to point out.
Dovahkiin and dragonborn are the same fucking thing
Hobo Smith No, actually. Dovahkiin can be translated into Dragonborn OR Dragonkind-hunter-born. Also, Dragonborn, in the case of the late Septim Dynasty, are people with Dragon's Blood, while a Dovahkiin has the SOUL of a Dragon AND the Blood. This is what allows them to absorb the souls of Dragons.
Learn the material before you try to correct someone.
+Davy Boy you contradict yourself dumbass you just said a dragon born is someone with dragon blood well if so then so is a dovakiin because it could mean that or the other hunter bullshit you said
+Hobo Smith you obviously didn't read what I wrote. Let me rephrase it in terms you can understand.
Dragonborn = Dragon blood
Dovahkiin = Dragon Blood + Dragon Soul
Dovahkiin are MORE than just a Dragonborn. Comprendo?
Davy Boy the shit you saying does not add up in one sentence you say dovakiin can be translated into dragon born therefore by logic explains that such dragon born be as well be dovahkiin
Pretty sure I have well over 200 hours in skyrim and I've never completed the main quest. Guess I'll have another chance when I start a new adventure this October.
only 200?
InMaTeofDeath pffft dirty casual
InMaTeofDeath I got bored after 70...
I have over 400.
Tomas Rayfield i have 400 no mods
Loved the Elder Scrolls, especially Skyrim. Thanks 4 making bros.
alex dulce Of course man! Honestly it's super fun making these videos and even more fun knowing that other people enjoy watching them!
So is this video for people who didnt play the game?
I wonder if Bethesda is working on an ACTUAL new elder scrolls, I fucking hope so because ESO was like, what.
+Vesta Gaming Co. 2 or 3 years later.
yeh hopefully.
+Vesta Gaming Co. The next ES game is going to be a card game if you can even call it a ES game.
+Crocketman no? they're actually working on a new game, and it won't be a card game.
+Mir Mir It will be I think it's called ES Legends or something
What I like about Skyrim's Thu'um is not something only Dovahkiin can do.
Hrm. Calling the Imperials a puppet Empire of the Thalmor is highly controversial if you ask me.
What you don't actually see outside of Skyrim is the fact that the Empire is the only thing keeping The Thalmor from actually conquering Skyrim, and in fact it would be much more beneficial to the Thalmor if The Empire either lost Skyrim as a province or kept fighting them. In result the Empire would lose precious land and manpower to help if the Thalmor were to make another assault on the Imperial City, which as we know from experience, they're going to. It was the Nords after all that saved the Empire during the Great War and took back the Imperial City, trust me, the Thalmor do not have control of the Empire, no matter how much it looks like they do. They want it to seem that way, even if they can't make it that way.
I'm still undecided on who to side with. If you assassinate Titus Meade II the control of the empire would be given to the elder council(and probably directed by Armand Mottieri). With Titus Meade gone, the Reg Guard would likely be up for a fight, and so would the Orcs(because they always are). Biggest issue here are the Nords and Bretons(they could just as easily assimilate into Elven culture as stay in human culture, and manipulate their way to the top).
Returning control of skyrim to the Empire would make the empire stronger, and put you, a will bending, oblivion walking, master thief/assassin/wizard/marksman/warrior who is listener to the dark brotherhood, leader of the companions, guild master of the thieves guild, champion to 16 of 17 deadric princes, potentially a vampire/werewolf, and is capable of annihilating entire armies single handedly using only Ysgamor's soup spoon and his voice, at the head of their martial efforts.
Or if you decide to put Ulfric Stormcloack in power, you would have to negotiate with the remains of the empire, High Rock and Hammerfell for a new alliance, and with your ability for persuasion, illusion, and the ability to bend the wills of others, plus you position as listener to the dark brotherhood, and guild master to the thieves guild, it would probably work. This would put you at the head of the beginnings of a new empire of man.
Historically, your opponents would likely be the Thalmor, Valenwood, and Elsweyr, with the Argonians giving a big middle finger to anyone attempting to invade, and the Dark Elves standing to the side saying "It's not our fight"
At that point, it's basically a fair fight, with the exception of the fact the humans have you. The only thing you are really deciding, is what the terms of the new empire will be. Will they be elf hating assholes, or will things go on as normal(semi-elf hating)? Either way, you're the new Talos. Let's hope no one cuts your throat.
If anyone is doing puppet work, it's Ulfric. The Thalmor's plan was to start a rebellion against the Empire, weakening it for invasion again. At least, that's what the Thalmor report says in-game.
PLEASE! Everybody stop this bullshit! Here it is!
Why are imperials wrong:
"We are keeping thalmor from Skyrim" - You let them get to Skyrim and torture our civilians so you are reason why they are here...
"Youre racist" - No. Some of us may be racist, they have good reasons for that like killing civilians, ruining ancient traditions and so.
"Most racist race" - Khajiit burning saint forests in Valenwood, Altmer killing nodic civilians, dunmer slaving argonians arent racist?
"Ulfric is racist!" - Ulfric never said anything against the elves.
"But dunmer in Windhelm" - ...were homeless and we opened gates of Windehelm and offered them free shelter and bed and chance to start a new life.
"But the conditions of the grey quarters" - were as good as the rest of Windhelm before they moved in, If they are too lazy the cean their mess thets their problem
"But name "grey quarter" is racist" - It was called Snow quarter, but when dunmer moved in the started to warm it up since they dont like cold weather and snow melted and revealed grey buildings.
"But they are oppressed" - No. There are three well prospering elves who made it to buy own houses and open inns and market stalls.
"The Empire will strike thalmor back!" - No, they are weakened by Oblivion crysis and the Great War and still are under controll of the Thalmor.
"Ulfric is a wrong king!" - No, according to tradition of Elder council, every Jarl can become the High King.
"Ulfric is an asset" - No he isnt, He was captured and forced to become and asset by torturing, he was resisting until he figured out a plan, he accepted and became and asset since it was only chance to get out of the prison alive and rebell against the Empire and Thalmor. He didnt do a single thing for them as mentioned in thalmor dossier"Status: Asset (uncooperative)" and "The so-called Markarth Incident was particularly valuable from the point of view of our strategic goals in Skyrim, although it resulted in Ulfric becoming generally uncooperative to direct contact."
IF YOU HAVE ANY STUPID ARGUMENTS LET ME TAKE THEM DOWN!
srry for bad english
Sebastián Mackay How about this:
What would happen if the Stormcloaks won the war?
What would happen if the Imperials won the war?
Which side would create peace on Tamriel?
***** Obviously neither side would create peace in Tamriel. There'd be more peace if the Imperials won however.
Played Morrowind, Oblivion & Skyrim for countless hours and I NEVER realized shit went this deep.
Lol this it goes even deeper his the the surface but you can't blame them because they can't fit that much lore into one video anyways check out shoddy cast if you want more lore (not hating on the video it's actually awesome just saying that there is more to it)
thats why i love the elder scrolls games. there is SOOOOOOO MUCH LORE!
TheFeralBishop You want to know something that will really shock you? Skyrim (and all of TES) is just the dream of an unconscious god. The most powerful individuals in TES (like Vivec) are those who realize they are part of a dream. And that's just the surface of TES lore, it gets a lot more metaphysical, but it's impossible to summarize it all.
Lol where did u get that from
And there is no proof he is god or not
I play a lot of skyrim and I find this awesome due to the humour and the voice acting great job man 10/10 would watch again
Well you just told us the main story...
Calling the empire Thalmor puppets makes you sound biased. Yes, they're more or less under the Thalmor's control, but only because they lost in a war.
The Stormcloaks on the other hand are the Thalmor's puppets but don't even know it. In the game, you find a dossier on Ulfric saying that the Thalmor had Ulfric in captivity at some point, released him, but made it seem like he escaped himself. They planned on him starting the war to weaken the Empire.
+Gepdox XVI In the documents the Thalmor also stated, that a unified Skyrim would also be a bad thing for them. Only an ongoing Revolt would be good for them.
Aldmeri Dominion >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Empire = Stormcloaks
+Monfe Not when the Last Dragonborn enters the field. Anyone who has a CHIM-wielding badass at their side and somehow manages to lose has done something dearly wrong.
The Dragonborn will not have choosen sides. Remember the main story? The Dragonborn negotiated a truce between the parties. And this will be the only direct involvement the Dragonborn will have taken as it will be mentioned by kanon of future TES games.
An interesting fact is: the Emperor is dead. At least I think that this will be kanon. Not the Dragonborn has killed him, but rather a pretty random guy who was part of the Dark Brotherhood at the time.
That leaves the Throne of the Empire empty. But for how long? Who will be the next Emperor? Who paid for his blood? And what will be the consequences? I can't wait to see/read how everything has gone on from that point onwards.
+Rick West why do you spell canon with a k? that's weird
Imperials didn't lose to the Aldmeri Dominion, they signed a peace treaty, the Emperor wanted to stop the war to try to rebuild after so many years of blood shed and distrust between man and mer. This is why the Nords and Red Guards are so pissed with the Imperials, Red Guards still fight the Aldmeri Dominion throughout their borders and are actually showing promise in victory while the Nords have a long history of war with the elves. The folks behind this video need to refresh their understanding of the war, the Stormcloaks claim the Imperials are puppets of the Thalmor but that's not true. Of course the Thalmor are not to be trusted.
+King Rumar The RedGuards Defeted the Aldmeri Dominion and the dominion signed the The Second Treaty of Stros M'ka and there forces withdrew from Hammerfell
Imperials are pussies. Go home to your mommies.
Precisely why the Stormcloaks fight for freedom. It's two tiers of oppression, from the Empire, who are getting it from the Thalmor. And we true Sons and Daughters will fight both if we have to.
PRAISE TALOS! SKYRIM BELONGS TO THE NORDS!
I think they all need to come together as well, but that doesn't mean that they need to be part of the Empire to do so. Russia fought on the side of the Allies in WW2. Doesn't necessarily mean they are the West's friends now. More like frenemies.
The White Gold Concordat could easily be upheld in the Empire with an independent Skyrim continuing to be allowed to worship Talos freely. It's a nice end-around to spite those Aldmeri dogs, and I think it should be taken into consideration.
You should read more of the lore then. The empire got its ass stomped by the Dominion and is pretty much on life support at this point. Three of the provinces (Summerset, Elsweyr and Valenwood) are part of the dominion. Hammerfell declared independence almost immediately after the treaty was signed. Vardenfell has been pissed at the empire since they abandoned them during the Oblivion Crisis. I don't know how Orsinium and Black Marsh feel towards them.
So after the great war, the only reliable allies the empire had was Cyrodiil and High Rock. The Aldmeri Dominion completely shattered the empire and was just biding their time for the next invasion. It's like that Thalmor in Markarth said "The empire exists, because we allow it to exist. I'm here to make sure the Jarl remembers that."
Here's my version of the story.
A mute man/woman must defend their homeland from knife-eared elves, and a bunch of annoying fucking flying reptiles that always do the same routine each encounter. Not only that, but the mute must pick a side for two ignorant and dumbfounded factions killing each other over a throne while the land is burning. He must harness the power of the throat to destroy a push-over boss who does the same thing as his annoying minions. While being accompanied by two stupid elite soldiers who bitch at him/her constantly throughout the entire storyline.
1st time I played skyrim I literally did not use the steps but instead climbed the mountain. I was devastated when I found out there was stairs.
So happy I found this channel!
nccish We're happy we found you!
soo... basically the dragonborn is the skyrim Jesus?
Yerp
Makes sense
*People praise him as the son of god and all that
Gets tortured by his own fans*

Soooo jezus reks dragons. Uhmm maybe must read bible now
You have made all my favorite games and explained stuff I did not know about them (except for this one, i know everything there is to know about skyrim), but anyway this is my favorite youtube show tied with game theory but you sir, have earned yourself a subscriber, and peace. *insert peace sign here*
don't know how many times I have watched this video but I never get bored of it
That was a great Video man. You have my subscription. I am a huge Skyrim fan. Helped me understand who I really am as Dragonborn. 🐉🐲🐲🐉
You guys definitely deserve more subs!!!!!
Best of luck to this awesome channel!!!
PS: (You made the empire look bad, They're not entirely puppets, they were just forced to make a treaty with the elves because they were getting butchered in the great war and you did not mention the stormcloaks were racist pieces of Shite!! :) )
Talos guide you :)
Lone Wolf Greetings, son of Skyrim. :D
Thanks so much for the support, it's awesome to hear! You're right, that was definitely an oversimplification. I wish we could say more details like you mentioned but we gotta fit everything into a reasonable length. I think there is one thing we can all agree on though - Fuck the Thalmor. :)
Speaking of which, I forgot, wasn't there a "screw both of them" option? High Elves are fing pricks and so are the Stormcloaks. Why couldn't they have just let us take the Imperial Throne, that right only belonged to the Dragonborn line anyways until Martin was the last of the bloodline until us. We should have the right to reclaim what was rightfully ours to begin with.
THE STORMCLOACKS ARE RIGHT JARL ULFRIC ONE FAIR AND SQUARE THE EMPIRE THINKS ULFRIC SHOUTED THE OLD HIGH KING INTO BITS AND PIECES. And that is why you should join the stormcloaks
Treesicle Max Payne the story you never knew???
Zyro Ejansantos The Stormcloaks are Republicans, the Impirals are Democrats. Choosing one side or another is simply a test of ones own political leanings
i subbed just for the first few words that you said honestly the best way to start a video on Skyrim
This was reeeaally god, bringing so much nostalgia and sense of purpose that I forget with the time.

Corvo Attano Also: It's not Dovah-Kiin, it's Dov (Dragon)- Ah (Hunter)- Kiin (Child-Born)
***** The Greybeard call clearly said "DO - VAH - KIIN". You know, even if you aren't the type to overthink anything, it's pretty obvious.
***** About 200 in total from all my 3 characters.
***** Good for you. Bu tI am observent to notice that detail of big importance to lore that everyone ignored.
***** PS3. Sadly. My computer is too old (2009) to run Skyrim properly.
Dov-Ah-Kiin is how it's supposed to be pronounced. Dov: Dragon. Ah: Hunter. Kiin: Born.
if you read it right its dohkinah dragon born hunter is sombody going to kill the dragon born?
rootbeersaint what?
ChristoXO9 me or the other guy?
The other guy
Rootbeersaint
Plenty knew this. Here's something you probably didn't know though. I'm paraphrasing from some lore buff but here goes:
"Ever noticed how the White Gold Tower is a tower in a giant wheel, or how the Elder Scrolls say 'When the wheel turns upon the last dragonborn'. Take these into account. Now think, who is turning the Wheel? Alduin. The World Eater, and a time aspect of Akatosh, god of time, the King.
But Akatosh has a dual personality. His second personality is Lorkhan, the Rebel. He is basically fighting himself, that's why he tore out his own heart and killed himself.
Lorkhan's avatar on the other hand is Talos. his place holder, giant oversoul which consists of many dragonborn/shezzarines like Tiber Septim; and the current incarnation...current shezzarine is Skyrim's main character...you."
Remember who you fight? Alduin, avatar of Akatosh, who is the dual personality of Lorkhan, father to the Talos oversoul, and whose latest incarnation is you. You are fighting yourself because some god has schizophrenia and one personality wants to kill the other."
Perfect explanation i love it. I get goosebumps everytime the theme song or skyrim and oblivion plays. Love it.
Was...was that like a split second of Richard the librarian I saw holding a book?
he is probably helping with the research
***** Glad they used one of the later ones where Richard had filled out a bit :)
Gopher
BWAAAH!
that was like opening your closet and brad pitt being in there!
Gopher Gopher!
So the Dragonborn in Skyrim is a demigod? That's always been my theory.
Hes talos reincarnated
eskoturn5000 I heard it myself that the Dragonborn's a demigod. That priestess of Arkay in Windhelm keeps calling me 'son of Akatosh'.
Brian Sanders yes but unlike his first time in tamriel it doesn't end the same instead of becoming a god in sudenguatd this time he ends as a daedra worshipper of hermaous mora stuck in in his realm is not comfirmed yet but that's what it looks like as of now in the remaster maybe they will confirm what happened to the last dragonborn
Doubtfull as the Dragonborn obviously would do all Daedric quests, so that will get messy afterwards.
Spacefrisian the daedric quest are non Canon to the main story of elder scrolls so the dragonborn only serves hermaous mora in the canon because dragonborn dlc is part of the main quest
I think I've watched every single lore video for the elder scrolls since I was 7 I'm 15 now love this game so much and love this video
I hit like before the video even loaded. I like your content bro🙏
2 mins in the video, and i thought "ulfric cant devour the souls of the dragons he slays"
"The Imperials think we need their laws. Pfft."
You have committed crimes against Skyrim and her people, what say you in your defence?
FUS ROH DAH!
his
well, he is actually defending himself, and those are words, not weapons ;)
It was only a cup, and the shopkeeper had a bucket over his head.

Sick bruh I love yu! You rely don't deserve this much subs u deserve a bunch more! Thx for da vid!
So your saying that the Dragonborn is OP whilst it still took me 6 in-game hours to kill the ebony warrior?
Everytime I hear someone talk about the Dovahkin.
I want to burst out in song!

it felt so good to remember everything through this video!
Very good video, Keep up the good work guys!
The dragon born is a targaryen
Stop watching game of thrones, you're too young.
+theByzatn No one's to young for g.o.t
+Jon Snow fuck off you know nothing.
+theByzatn I know that no one is to young for g.o.t ;)
Jon Snow Well, considering the show is filled with tits, sex, and rape... i agree
You guys need to do Red Dead Redemption. That game has one of the best stories.
Torpshire hm...I've played a bit of Red Dead Redemption, but never got super into it. I guess I'll have to go check out the story behind the game now. Thanks for the suggestion!
Martin was the only mortal of his time that could defeat an immortal?
Your character kills Jyggalag, the Daedric Prince of Order, shortly after.
+N Haugen and then becomes Skyrim's version of Sheogorath, all our favorite daedra.
Treesicle: dragon born, dovakiin
me: a cat
still a better love story than twilight
I knew that.
Subscribed.
This was so good xD
I did know this though :P Really awesome video though! :)
when you guys get more views and subscribers, please dont forget us !! :)
cheers!!
beefy burrito don't worry we'll never forget you guys! :D
Sheesh, all this about the Civil War and the Great War got me thinking... Is there a tamrielic equivalent to Switzerland? A country which doesn't really lean either to one side or the other?
Zetsubou Z. Summerset Isles maybe?
Travis Huffman That's the Aldmeri dominion... you know, where the thalmor come from
Zetsubou Z. Well, Morrowind and Black Marsh/Argonia didn't take part in the Great War, since Morrowind is still recovering from all the damage from the Red Year (Red Mountain volcano explosion) in 4E 5 and Black Marsh's assault on them after that all damage (by that time Argonia wasn't part of the Empire anymore). Argonians just keep to their own stuff, keeping their land secure and Southern Morrowind dominated.
***** Sorry... Not very good with my lore :(
Blackmarsh, land of the Argonians, is probably the closest. They really do just want to be left alone and since their swamp of a country is so deadly to outsiders, it's practically impossible to invade. Those few outsiders that live there live on the outskirts, and even Tiber Septim did not fully invade during his conquest of Tamriel.
Yep, time to dive back into Skyrim again!
Dovahkiin can also be translated dov-ah-kiin which means dragonkind hunter born, which makes a lot of sense because the dragonborn was basically born for the sole purpose of hunting and killing all dragons.
Can you do one about the Daedra?
Bianca Pastega Hey Bianca, that's an interesting suggestion. We usually cover main characters so doing the Daedra would be an interesting change. I'll talk to the guys about it and see what they say!
Treesicle
I'll look forward to their answer!
Treesicle The daedric race is certainly no side character. They were an integral part of the franchise up til Oblivion. IIRC a lot of the main stories involved daedric worshipers and their respective prince vying for an established control in the world of mortals. They were only really reduced to a side character in Skyrim as their story for the most part was over then, Dagon rallied an entire daedric army only to end up being defeated, and for a prideful race like that of the daedra that is a very crushing blow, so it wouldn't be absurd to believe they won't try to do anything significant for a very long while.
Treesicle Can you do one about Koopa Troopa or Rouge the bat
Damn imperials.
Or you can do a truce between the imperials and stormcloaks
The truce only lasts until Alduin is defeated. Then the war is back on. Were you not paying attention?
+Nyrufa still skyrim is cut in half and yes I was not paying attention.
Nyrufa just never kill alduin lol
yeah
if you’re a coward maybe
You do know that the septims aren't related to akatosh, but he did give the first empress an amulet only her disendents could wear-the amulet of kings
GO STORMClOAKS
+Dovah Bear IMPERIALS FTW
Fucka U Imps
Screw you, Stormcloaks
+WolverineZero The Imps. know nothing
PPPPRRRRRAAAAAIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSEEEEEEEEEE TTTHHHHHHEEE SSSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!
could it be that... the Dragonborn may be a descendant of the Septims?
BloxerXD Ingram true... but what if one of the Emperor's sons had an illegitimate child? Not Martin per se, but one of the other sons? And among their descendants, somewhere along the line there might have been a Nord mother. The Dragonborn could be from Bruma, in which case he could easily move across the border into Skyrim.
But, obviously, it's mostly speculation.
i find it hard to believe an argonian could produce fertile offspring with a human.
omniXenderman hahaha, I guess that is true. Or a kahjit for that matter.
Sandro Swen Or Tsaesci lol, dragonborn vampiric sperpent from Akavir, why not :D
Sebastián Mackay Tsaesci master race!
I knew all these stuff but I'm glad that someone else also knows all this and I'm not just nut job with crazy game theories. Also, I am very happy to see someone acknowledge that once a Dragonborn absorbs a dragon soul and activates they're Tu'um they become immortal like Miraak was (why do you think he was still alive after thousands of years). Also also, the Dovahkiin, even though capable of besting Alduin in combat could never actually vanquish the creature. It is not until they fight in Sovngarde does Alduin fall because... well... it's never stated why... but yeah, that's the reason. Location location location.
"at the super duper tipy top." my favorite part of the whole video
Am I the only one who likes almost everything about Oblivion a lot more than Skyrim
Daggerfall is the best game
+USAPianist
Do you get to the Cloud District very often? Oh, what am I saying - of course you don't.
+Mr .Fixit Can I get you a ladder? so you can get off my ba.... oh shit wrong game
Sir Bhojus XD
+USAPianist adoring skyrim fans: "Yes, oh great and mighty skyrim? Is there something you need? Can I carry your weapon? Shine your boots? Backrub, perhaps?"
10 points if you get it.
its actually 6,999.5 steps
I like how you could have easily said "a power that very few posses" to make it sound epic and awesome but instead said "a power that several others posses" which makes it sound sort of cool but mostly mundane.
Most epic episode I ever saw!
Says it right in the video: The Imperials are a puppet of the Thalmor. SKYRIM BELONGS TO THE NORDS! ALL HAIL HIGH KING ULFRIC!
Hail to the King! Hail Ulfric Stormcloak!
Screw Ulfric. Give the crown to the Dragonborn and he/she shall take the fight right to the Thalmor's door step. >:73
Well, that's what mods are for, I suppose.
AllergicGamer535 Actually, the dossier I assume you're referencing explicitly states that they don't want either side to win. The Empire winning would present a nearly unified humanity against them, which would be able to recover manpower much faster than the elves. Ulfric winning weakens humanity as a whole, but suddenly Hammerfell has an ally, and the Redguards and Nords may be able to invade the Dominion (with the help of the Valenwood and Elsweyr Resistances). If neither side wins, the two factions keep draining resources and manpower that would otherwise go to the fight against the Thalmor. Either side actually achieving a victory is a loss for the Thalmor. And yes, Ulfric's rebellion _does_ help them in the short term, but a Stormcloak victory would probably be worse for them in the long term (unless something weird happens politically between the Empire and Hammerfell).
AllergicGamer535 You, my friend, have just earned a great deal of respect from me.
0:04 *Dragon soul. You're (the player) is a dragon soul in a human body. In order to have dragon's blood you'd have to actually be born a dragon. - _ -'
There are 3 types of Dragonborn: those with the blood of a dragon (like the Septims), those with the soul of a dragon (like Miraak) and those with both (like the Last Dragonborn).
Sap Licker Ah, thanks for explaining that to me. Though, I still don't understand how someone's body can be part dragon (dragon's blood) without (as far as I'm aware) them being direct descendants of a human and dragon mating pair, but then again, I do prefer everything being as realistic as possible (i.e I hate how a vampires health doesn't drain when in sunlight in Skyrim. Though it is useful, I prefer the way they did it in Oblivion better).
Kyrst O'Keefe As hot as that would be, Dragonborns aren't the result of a dragon banging a mortal. They're blessed by Akatosh, who is one of the dragon time gods.
Also, totally agree about the vampire thing. I've never enjoyed being a vampire in Skyrim. In terms of roleplaying, it's done much better in previous TES games.
Sap Licker XD Ooooh, thanks for another explanation.
I bet there's a mod to fix the problem for the pc version.
+Sap Licker if a dragon banged a mortal their ass would be sore for an eternity.
dude, skyrim never felt better, just after warching this vid the game became intense once again, nice job :D
Holy shit this is awesome man! this makes me want to play skyrim so much more now
LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE.
Ulfric did nothing wrong!
Killed the true high king, betrayed an empire when they needed him most, became a racist against anything that isn't a nord. Need I go on?
Ze-TopHat-Gamer trump 😂
I love this video it was great thanks for every thing treesicle
*Hi dreh ni mindok yoro undin dovahkiin nuz Zu'u tul med daar bodilir.*
*Correction:* You don't know a few lores behind "Dragonborn."
But eitherway its still good.
Haha this kid is mad.
Bryan Nguyen Welcome to the internet. Please try to ignore the 10 year olds.
Eh.. I could ignore them, but it is fun making them look like a fool even more than they are.
***** Why the hell are you harassing this guy?
skyrim is my all time favorite game. can't wait for the 6th one to be announced because Skyrim is just getting boring because i've played it to much. Untill than all we have is a MMO and i hate MMOs (no offense if you like MMO's)
Agreed,it's also my favorite game of all time.
Aydan Fletcher Bored f Skyrim!Madness!
Aydan Fletcher ya after you do everything or (in my case) delete your save accidently it gets boring. i have it on ps3 so no mods for me :(
Aydan Fletcher i had no clue that skyrim had mods than
Aydan Fletcher ya but im just going to wait a few years till they dump the MMO and start 6 play that through than play through with mods
This takes me back..good times!
Interesting summary on the lore of Skyrim!
All hail Ulfric! The true High King of Skyrim!
Brother!
Jae
Another demagogic popular ruler? No, thanks dude, I rather chop his head off
The Reach belongs to the Forsworn!!
LonlyPinkBanana savage...
Whenever I play a nord (either male or female;) the Stormcloaks have my trust.
With races like Orc, Wood Elf or Kahjitt. I either still join the Stormcloaks or neither them or the Imperials.
Like I'm gonna join an empire that forbade freedom of Talos worship and showed a sign of cowardice against the Thalmor.
Martin would be ashamed of them
I can just say, AMAZING videos :)
dude i miss that old intro! nostalgic..i also never realised how deep the elder
scrolls story is
Should have joined the stormcloaks
***** Go back to playing minecraft, Imperial milk-drinker ^-^
ree Senpai Alot of people dont know but milk is good for you it makes your bones stronger.
So in actuality milk-drinker isnt a bad word XD
Yellow diamond j'zargo notices that most people new to the game join the storm cloaks but later in the game when they read up on more lore they find out the stormcloaks are not all that they seem basicly the stormcloaks are the true puppets they want the stormclaks to win so they can weaken the empire and destroy skyrim oh and the stormcloaks are racist so yea actuly the aldmeri dominion wants to take over all of tamriel so it goes way deeper then that
j' zargo j'zargo is stupid and one of the worst followers.
ree Senpai j'zargo loves you to :)
“The story you never knew”
Everybody: literally already knew everything talked about in this boring ass video.
Think this might be my favorite treesicle vid lol
wow. I'm so much better than I originally thought! thanks guy!
Did anyone join the Stormcloaks? Just me? Awe :c
Nope
+Sonny McMaster No problem m8y! I also join the Stormcloaks.
FOR SKYRIM!
nope
***** Exactly how?
***** Hammerfell say hello. These guys managed to push the Thalmor's ass away. Alone.
If Hammerfell can do such a thing (ALONE!!!) Then the warriors of Skyrim can do it too. Especially if they have a legend walking on the land of Skyrim.
