That's been really successful this year, they look perfect. It's a major issue here with our ridiculously wet climate 😂. Liquid copper is near impossible to source here because it was pretty much banned due to being extremely toxic.
Paul hats off to you mate, Persistence truly does pay off. I can’t wait for you to give us a tour, You’re garden is really starting to mature and it looks amazing.I’m sure you have solved the issue for your viewers.
Thanks for the encouragement mate! In a normal year I'd have done a tour already but this October has been like late winter weather so everything exotic looks ordinary at the moment. There's always a silver lining and at least this cooler weather has stopped the early bushfires that we saw in lat September 👍
Wow, great job! Leaf curl is a real pain to deal with. I moved my peaches into the greenhouse last year while they were dormant to keep them dry (apparently the fungus needs moisture to activate it), it did initially look promising, but a few of them did get leaf curl later in the summer.
Thanks for the tip mate! I wasn't sure if it was a global problem but now I see obviously it is! I think I should be able to keep on top of it now with 3 sprays each winter 🤞
Nice one, you’ve done well. I was a bit late this year and I got a little bit of it for the first time on my tree. Was also late to get the net on and last 80% to fruit fly, we got a really savage first wave of them when the warm weather hit. Hope that black sapote comes back, if not maybe it will grow from the rootstock.
Thank you mate, all that is missing is a dog or two. I had two Jack Russell sisters, they both lived to 19 years old and they are both buried in my garden. They died about 5 years ago and I still haven't been able to get another dog but I will eventually. I had those pups since I was 21 til 40
I used to use this will have to get again as got bad curl again - do you add a surfactant? Soap solution to help it get in? Ive almost given up on peaches
Hi mate, no surfactant used here, just a good soaking 4 times from mid winter til bud burst. I was honestly very surprised to see zero infections because the year before I reckon the tree had a 45% infection rate
@@melbournesubtropicfruits9474 i wonder how far the spores can travel in the case of if your neighbours have stone fruit. None of my neighbours are growing stone fruit so that mght help. I should have mentioned that in the video!
@@UrbanBounty no neighbours nearby growing stone fruit - i even soread tea leaves that worked well last year - i seem ti get real bad every 2nd year on tbe TastyZee. The Golden Queen peach is 98% ok too

That's interesting to know. I only used it because here it is approved for organic certification I believe.

Thanks for sharing Paul! Great job!
Thank you Sang La 👍
I love how neat and tidy your yard looks. The miniature peach and nectarine look amazing!
Thanks mate, I'm a toolmaker by trade so I cant relax unless things are straight and square
@@UrbanBounty ah makes sense. You'd think I was a salvage yard worker by the way my place looks lolol
Spooky, was just talking about getting my nectarine tree treated for curl leaves fungus. It’s autumn over here, and I got recommended this video.
That's awesome! Your season is exactly opposite. I wish you luck with your nextarine tree.
All the best 👍

Awesome job, I really enjoyed watching this.
This video was so informative, thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for your kind comment! 😀

Gday mate! Geez the fruit fly sounds very bad this year for you! Looks like they are acclimatising further south quickly
Love your food forest mate!

@@UrbanBounty It hurts when they go. I’m very lucky to have adopted the chihuahua. My shadow was really hurting from the loss.
Bugger about the black sapote, hopefully it comes back
Nectarines are looking nice and healthy after their copper doses 👍
Thanks mate, black sapote is the main type I'm struggling with here!
