Great Professional Diagnostic Tool. Bang for the buck this is hands down the best tool on the market.
Here its my experience with this company bosch usa, I couple years ago I bought the kts340 and it was a nightmare to use it and on top of that, after a year of using it they make the tool obsolete so no more updates, 6000dlls paperweight, after calling back and forward with customer service they were trying to sold me a OTC scan tool, cmon really. Now, correct me if I'm wrong the 525x and 625 if you don't pay for the updates it will lock the tool and you cannot use it.
No the tool does not lock down if you don't keep a subscription current, you just wont receive any new updates. And the KTS 340 was more than 15 years ago.

I work for boch and i make the tablets and they are just samsung 7 a tabs witch is like a 300$$ and u are paying between 5000 to 9000 $$$$ u are paying for A plastic shell
The cost is likely in the software not the hardware. The 525X is only $1600, which if it functions the same if not better than a Snap-on scanner, it's a steal.
The vehicle should be the power source and not a set of batteries that will need charged or replaced every 14 hours. We also consider subscriptions to be an immoral tax! In no way should I have to pay a subscription to get access after paying thousands of dollars for a box no bigger than a tablet that generally cost hundreds not thousands.
Considering that it’s a wireless scan tool, having its own power source is pretty much needed. Nobody wants to use a wired OBD2 tool anymore.

@@miclewis55 3 year updates with Xtools is the longest I've heard of so far.
