The BEST Christmas Market in POLAND? How WE Spent $20 US Dollars

- Today we are in Krakow experiencing the best Christmas market in Poland! We spent $20 US dollars on some amazing food and drinks. While trying to order a standard sausage we accidentally order a famous polish Christmas treat, Smalec. Smalec is a dish made of rendered pork fat spread across topped with onions and pickles and we added kielbasa!
We warm up with a delicious garlic soup and even get a couple free beers. The thing we will miss the most about Poland is definitely the Oscypek, a delicious smoky grilled cheese wrapped in bacon and topped with cranberry sauce.

LUCKY! We actually are going to be home in San Diego for Christmas this year, perhaps we will do a Christmas video there. Although, it’s not nearly as good as in Poland! Have the best time, very jealous. For us New York is next in the videos and then Mexico!

@HeresGoodTravel If you like pierogi - try pielmieni! Pielmieni are popular in Eastern Europe. There are like small pierogi. In Warsaw you can try pielmieni in "Pielmieni Deli" near to University of Technology in Warsaw (there is a metro station "Politechnika").

Lol we tried pronouncing the Polish words from the menu and they would laugh at us and then speak to us in English🤣. We are headed back to Poland next summer to eat and drink some more!

I'm not surprised that so many tourists from abroad are delighted to compare what is happening in Western Europe; in Germany, every Christmas market is full of police and there are huge concrete barriers everywhere.
Wow we can’t believe it’s come to that. We’ve only been to Frankfurt but we stumbled on a really cool local Christmas market and shared some nice Germans taught us to drink meter beers. We still can’t wait to see some markets in other cities but that’s sad they have to be so heavily regulated.

Hey guys! I've been to Poland too. Summer of 2019. Krakow and Auschwitz. Chillin' place that one. Their cuisine tends to be fatty. that smalec, is the pig's fat. Been to a wedding back then. And it didn't look much different that romanian weddings. Fatty foods with meat and heavy drinking. High octane vodka....
High octane vodka😂! Amazing, we would love to go to a Romanian or a Polish wedding, so fun! Especially if there is pig fat and vodka involved, count us in!

We were on a year trip around the world and didn’t start uploading them until a couple months in. This was recorded just before Christmas last year. Lol that’s very true! Maybe because we were so shook by how expensive those cities were we didn’t want to think about it😂. We ate a lot of salad and instant ramen in those places. That’s amazing! We weren’t able to visit Wrocław on this trip. We are planning to return next august but I promise we will add the Christmas market to our list!! Any other polish cities or nature areas we should add as well that you recommend?
Every city Christmas market has its own vibe, as for me? City of Lublin is probably on the top, as it has practically no tourists, cuz everyone is afraid to go so close to the Ukrainian border 😂 and everything it's way cheaper than in Cracow., including schools for the foreigners. It's basically one huge Uni campus with students from all around the globe everywhere.
