Get ballistic gel abdomen or something like that and see what they do when it comes to bleeding and wound cavity. I know graphic but it would show what they could do.

Go to your local butcher and get some beef scapulas, if it will penetrate a cow scapular, you should be good. Ballistic gel would be fun, but that’s probably really expensive

QAD Exodus is the best 3 blade I've ever used. No tuning, great long range accuracy, tougher than nails. Exodus, if you're listening, offer a large, two blade heavy, and ride the crest of the Ashby, heavy head tsunami while you can.

I shoot the victory rip xv 300 with 185 ethics insert/ outsert and 100-125 grain broad heads 513(20%foc)-538(23%foc)grains total. I snorted the Ranch fairy dust and ended up in the middle. I have had a pass through on everything I have shot. I made a fallow up shot on a doe shot her in the left hip and came out her right shoulder. I was extremely impressed with the arrow combo.

Magnus ser razor. My favorite broadheads by far. I have them on the VAP ELITES 250 cut to 27 1/8 in. and the 75 grain shok tl inserts. 100 gn broadheads. With a four fletch max stealth for a total weight of 487 and that will change depending on components and length of arrow. But I dig it and it's what I would recommend to anyone. Give it a shot!

For several years I have been using the low-temp blue hot melt. I've had like 3-4 arrows that the insert came out and that was on the new foam from McKensie started using. And if you want to " clock" the broadheads just barely warm up the insert with the broadhead screwed in and rotate. The hotmelt will reset and be fine.

My favorite broadheads are QAD Exodus the past 4-5 years.
Just picked up a 6 pack of iron Will single bevel to play around with. (I have a few buddies that love them).
I have not had any issues getting the X Impact arrows out here on the east coast.
Just ordered another dozen and got them in 4 days.
I stock up on arrows and broadheads all the time.

(I took a small buck and doe with the same arrow and broadhead combo last year) I also took a spike elk and a small bear with the Victory RIP and Valkyrie Blood Eagle 175 grain. The other two arrow setups Victory VAP Elite 350 and the Black Eagle X-Impact with the Valkyrie Center Pin Sleeve and Jagger 150 and 180 grain broadheads. Hands down, Annihilator broad heads are the best in the business! I have used them for two years straight, they do not lose their point or edge, and they fly like a field point. Check them out! I will never go to another broadhead. There are videos on you tube also that show their durability by shooting them through car hoods and car trunks.

I've switched to the Victory TKO Elites and they're flying like darts. They're matched with stainless outsert system and AAE max hunter vanes. On the business end, the fellas at S.V.A. (MFJJ and crew) suggested the outsert system that was reviewed in this video. Essentially, I'm using the same set up as Dan so far, except In still shooting the Old (but tried and true) G5 Montec bh. I've killed Sooo many animals with this head that I run into the Old addage, "IF it ain't broke... Don't fix it!" scenario. They fly true and the bears I killed this year literally went a combined total of 39 yards after the shot. The larger of them, pushing 375 to 400lbs went about 10yards and rolled the last 9 where a tree stopped his downhill roll. The other, died on his feet at 15, then slid the last 5 downhill. There was NO waiting for death moans, etc. I had almost identical hits with exit angles on them. Shot was quartering away at 45degrees, the shot entered between last and second to last rib, exited just forward of the offside shoulder joint itself, still what one would consider forward centering shoulder. Bears were literally D.E.A.D. DEAD within 20-30 seconds of impact. Dan mentions shooting for "his exit" - yes, this makes %1000 sense as where your arrow will exit dictates where you want your shot to enter the animal. I ALWAYS aim at near center of offside front shoulder, because IF you end up just forward of the off scapula, just back, or better yet, center of offside scap, that animal is DONE! They won't go far. My trusty old G5 montec shot from a 70lb, 27.5" draw on an arrow weighing a total of 4 56gr. Has ALWAYS been a complete passthrough. I'd love to try something New in broadheads and was looking at Tooth of the arrow and Day six? Any actual hunting related performance "data" would be great to hear!

Try grizzly stick samurai broad heads the steel is very strong and the sharpest broadhead i have ever seen out of the box. Also they come in 125gr. and 200gr. Also I run ethics 100gr inserts with the two together they work great im not afraid to shoot through both shoulders of a deer. The furthest a deer has gone is 50 yards for me

I’d be curious about you guys take on Ramcat Hydroshocks. They fly great, huge cutting diameter and pretty slick design. But… definitely not as durable as others
Also, I switched to Deer Crossing Archery (DCA) silencer arrows. Small diameter, super freaking durable, proprietary outserts. Best arrows I’ve ever shot. If/when you tinker with them make sure you mention I suggested DCA… you’re gunna love em’

If your arrows naturally clock left, which they most likely do, I'd say left helical with the Kudupoint Contour+ single bevel left hand. It's a pretty nasty setup. That's what I'm going to take into the woods. Sirius Orion 200s with ethics insert and collar and the contour+ single bevel up front and everything's going left.

You tossed the Airstrikes. You mentioned they are not durable? I got 2 dozen to test for myself and always had pretty decent service out of GT shafts. I bought the stainless 1/2 outs for more FOC as I actually use them on a lot of other shafts just like you do as well. But I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Airstrikes. I want to make up some RIP XV and RIP TKO's with the GT stainless halfouts, but Lancaster is out of those shafts which stinks.

So everyone has their pick of broadheads. I have shot and killed with many. Muzzy, G5, Ironwill, and the grim reapers all fixed blade. I have ended up with a bishop archery Holy trinity. You can buy in bulk of three or single broadheads. Last year I tagged 1 deer, 2 elk, and 1 bear. Same head just touched the blade up.
