Mate. So glad I found your channel but not so glad there’s only eight videos lol. I have been shooting black magic since the original pocket. Best 1080p I ever saw. Now an owner of the 6K pro. I used to have that sigma, and it burns me to buy it again. But my beauty lens is the Meyer Optic 58 1.9. Absolutely useless at 1.9 but at 4.0 it is magical. Thanks for all that you share and the fact you keep it very concise. It makes me want to create my own channel.
Very interesting it’s always Sigma and Tokina lenses that are always recommended for the 6K Pro I own the 6K Pro and do own the Sigma 18-35MM lens and I must say it’s an amazing piece of glass for the my 6K Pro but tbh I think imma make a Video also recommending these two lenses that just make my Black Magic compete w Red and Arri I own the Rokinon 24MM T1.4 Cine lense and Rokinon 35MM T1.5 Cine lens and they are absolutely AMAZING ON THE 6K Pro
Very competent takes on the BMPCC but it lacks the mention of a lens with a 75+ mm focal length which I think is absolutely mandatory for filming people.
All photography lenses. I know the priced of cine glass is so much steeper but the MF controls, aperture controls, lack of breathing, … could be the next step up in your collection
Hi, i just bought a Blackmagic 6K and i'm looking for a lens. Talking about the Sigma 18-35, i read it is an APS-C lens, how can i use this lens on Blackmagic since it's supposed to be a full frame camera, i mean, do you have to set up something in the menu? Is there some quality loss, using it on a Blackmagic?
Hi, you won’t be able to use that lens unfortunately. It’s great for the 6k pro, but on the full frame it won’t fill the whole sensor. There’s nothing you can do to adapt it either. Other than cropping into the image, but that defeats the point of buying a full frame camera. I would recommend looking at the canon L series lenses, such as the 24-70mm 2.8. That will give you a wide and a close up in one lens

Everybody laugh about the bmpcc + sigma 18-35 combo. It's not our fault if the 18-35 is so good!

My current favorite is the tokina 11-20mm f2.8. When doing slowmo, 2.7k its a 33-60 eq. More or less like the 18-35 in 6k
Such an outstanding yet underated lens. I have the 11-20mm and that too delivers amazing rusults without much barrelling
Could you make a video of your workflow with color correction? The look you give it is fantastic, greetings.
Super helpful, thanks!

What mount is your Zeiss? Do you adapt to 6K Pro?
Do you have Rawlite OLPF filter installed?
Lovely
Efs17-55 gets used on mine way more than the sigma. Image stabilization!
Great video! What viewfinder is that in your thumbnail?
It’s the official Blackmagic EVF with the tilta EVF accessory
@@corryraymondfilms please make a video on that❤️
cant forget the "nifty fifty". super cheap and nice bokeh

@@corryraymondfilms Thank you. So it will work on the 6k pro and not on the 6k g2, doesn't it? I have a 6k G2
Oh it will work on the G2, I thought you meant you have it on the full frame 6k.
The 18-35 works on the g2, for sure
@@corryraymondfilms thank you so much. Do you mean the 6k pro has a full frame sensor? I read on blackmagic site it has a super 35mm as the 6k g2 does
No worries. It’s confusing because the cameras haven’t been named very well to be honest. To be clear, the 6k Pro and the 6k G2 are both super 35mm.
Is deacons referring to 35mm on a super 35 or actual length closer to 50mm on full frame?
Yes he’s referring to a super 35. With exception of a couple of movies, such as 1917, which was shot on an Alexa LF. For that film he used a 40mm lens
Its ok to get the Sigma 35mm F1.4 Art DG HSM if I cant get the Sigma 18-35MM?
Yeah of course, it’s a good lens with the camera
is 18-35 wide enough on 6k at 18mm.
Yes absolutely
Is the black magic evf able to be used with other cameras?
I believe it is a proprietary connection port
18-35 is highly overrated
How?
Disagree
It renders a pretty good image on the 6k, but the electronic aperture and short focus throw are big drawbacks for me.
wouldve been helpful if you gave a few examples why
Tokina 11-16 GOGO!!!
