Hey Ruben! I'm an Italian guy i live in Bologna, and i discovered your channel right now. The way you give info and your style are unique. I also have all Samyang lenses (all almost mark I) and I live with their pro and cons. The image and the feeling, significantly when you change focus to another subject, are fantastic. I also have a classic set of Canon lenses, but I'm with you, cine lenses are magic. Proud that a Canadian lives in my country : )
Haha, thanks so much, man 🙏I’m very happy living in Italy with its pros and cons 😄.Yes, Samyang lenses , as you said have also its pros and cons which I definitely will talk a bit more in another video. Thanks so much for taking the time and watching my videos. What camera do you use? Grazie mille 🙏
@@topicruben Hey Ruben!! i totally forgot your kind reply!! so, I'm here! Again, it's an honour to know foreigners love to live in my country, with its "up and down! I recently completed my Samyang Mark I lenses kit, i have all FF lenses from 14mm to 135mm, except the 100 macro. I have the 6K Pro like you, and the Canon R5C :) . I really like your videos, very inspiring! keep up the good work!!
you are a perfect presenter!....my god that audio shift @2:28 is super narrative! and btw, does every samyang lens gives that purple & foggy look or only few? Thanks & subbed
Smashing it out of the park, Ruben! I have to up my filming game before I can even think of trying these great lenses. I'm still on the Canon M6 Mark II, so the lens I lust after is the Anamorphic Sirui. We'll all get there in the end. Thanks for INSPIRING me to better my videos, Maestro. I'm gonna go start filming a new one right now! Peace, Love and Grooviness to you & yours from still grey, mild and peculiarly normal Kinsale! ☘💪🏽👀👍🏽☘
Thanks so much guys🙏. I’m happy with them, but now maybe I should do another video about the things I don’t like about them, but as I can’t afford any other cinema lenses I’ll keep them 😄
@@topicruben To be honest, we're big fans of the 'One year later' reviews. It's always better to have the full insight from someone who has been using a product or lens for a lot longer than a week or two, which is the case for most reviews on UA-cam. :) So we would definitely watch it!
I love your channel so much that I have subscribed once again :) I'm suspected to talk about these lenses heheheh I love them all! On my camera I get a bit brown tint and not purple. Great video man! @samyang sould watch it too!
Thanks for sharing! As always, your videos are superb and very valuable to us. When I moved to digital I started with Canon DSLRs for myself with cheap Canon Lenses that were sold in kits, and they were great, while shooting on tented REDs for clients. As they asked me 4k I moved to Lumix GH4 and was bitten by the vintage lenses bug and went out and bought Takumars, Pentax and Tamrons. sadly, I sold everything during the pandemic, bought some computers for postproduction at home, and last year I lost all of that after partnering the wrong person. Now I finally bought a BMPCC 6K G2 and the Rokinon Cine DS 24, 35 and 85 mm. At the moment there’s still not much filming jobs for me but my intention is to buy the entire set (they’re exactly the same as the Samyang) and to buy again a Takumar set, but even more I’d like to put my hands on an old Soviet set, as they work marvelously with the Blackmagic. Your video made me decide I have to go for the remaining Rokinon first, so I gotta get into any gig available. Thanks again and keep on producing these fine videos!
Well, I'm very glad you found it interesting! Yes, me too! Don't remember the last time I used automatic settings..., well, not I don't have any, LOL! Thanks for watching my friend 🙏
Me too! 35 mm is one of my favourite lens ! Thank you for the very interesting video about this lens with all the samples! 14mm is nice but it won’t be the one I’ll use everyday. Cheers Ruben!
Hello sir I bought black magic 6k G2 recently but I am confusing to buy cine lens for 6k G2. I don't have enough money for buy 3 or 4 lenses. So i kindly request you to suggest me one budget and standard lens for my 6k G2. I am from India.
Great video as always Ruben. Big 27th thumbs up 👍 I'm sure everyone learn more about the different kind of lenses here. Thanks so much for sharing 😊 Have a wonderful safe weekend my friend 🤗 👍
MY BROTHER CHRIS!!! Man...., my apologies, I haven't seen you in awhile, that doesn't mean I love you less!!! All the best for you and yours and thank you for watching. These lenses are the shit! (in the good way, lol)
Of course, the downside of this is that you need to carry several lenses with you, while when you use a 15-35mm for example, you have a range of length covered, but the results are very different. Thanks a lot for watching and for your great support 🙏🙏🙏
I’m using the 25 f1.4 and 35 f1.4 Milvus lenses. I used to think the 35mm focal length was going to be my go to length but I find myself using the 25 much more on the 6k pro.
You’re absolutely right! I love the 35mm for different reasons, however one of my favorite lengths has always been 24, so we’re close, lol. We also need to keep in mind that the 6K pro has a S35 sensor. Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment 🙏
I wish I could use a camera like how you use a camera.I’ve had a few cameras but I don’t understand them and how to use them properly it’s all a strange language to me even when I’ve really tried to learn how to use them I just don’t get it it doesn’t sink in my brain just reboots and don’t compute lol 😂 great video ❤️❤️
😂 same thing happens to me with other things, like some computer stuff 😂. I think the important thing is just to create. Many ppl are very successful just making videos with a phone, so it’s ok. Thanks for watching my friend ❤️🙏❤️
The 16 mm would’ve been a smarter choice. Faster than the 14 (T2.1, the 14 is T3.1!) and as you said, it has removable sun hood! Thanks for watching, man 🙏
The way you transfer info is simply amazing. Legend of a guy you are Ruub!
Hhaha.., Thanks so much my friend. Next one will be better 🙏Peace and blessings
Love your videos too mate.

Thanks for watching, Nena. Have a beautiful weekend 🙏
Thank you for sharing this with us. Always make it interesting 👌❤🙏🏼
Great review and this has really helped me. Apart from the look I am very much a manual photographer I am not a fan of auto everything LOL.

I like you and your channel - very good info and I appreciate your help! Subscribed. :)
I appreciate you, brother. Thank you!
I am wondering what lense youve used for your video
For this specific video I used the Samyang. I believe I also had at that time the nifty fifty form canon. Don't have them anymore
You mention in the video this is the Samyang mark I but on your thumbnail it says VDSLR II … so which is it ? So confused 🤔
These are mark 1, the second generation are weather sealed and they’re more expensive!
I might just have to check them out for my RF Canon

I feel the same way about vintage lenses, but they’re all different sizes and have such unique qualities, they turn into specialty lenses for me
Of course, the downside of this is that you need to carry several lenses with you, while when you use a 15-35mm for example, you have a range of length covered, but the results are very different. Thanks a lot for watching and for your great support 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you very much 🙏
I been picking up rokinon DS lenses which I believe are the same lenses. They are amazing lenses for the price.
Yes indeed. Thanks for watching brother 🙏
That's why I bought 16mm t2.1 because u still got thread to put filter etc
The 16 mm would’ve been a smarter choice. Faster than the 14 (T2.1, the 14 is T3.1!) and as you said, it has removable sun hood! Thanks for watching, man 🙏

Thank you, but you should check my latest one about lenses!
Proper stuff
Thanks so much, man 🙏
