I might have to copy this rig piece by piece this is exactly what I was looking for for vmount options but I love your idea of quick release for the camera itself! Definitely going to look into doing that myself
Beautiful and compact! :) Maybe check out the 15mm quick release system by proaim - its a bit quirky, but minimizes the height of the camera by a little bit
Love this rig, trying to build the baseplate part without the quick release, but the screws don't seem long enough to connect the baseplate to the camera through the cage, how did you work around this?
Hey mate I made it work, it was a tight fit, but all connected ok in the end through a bit of trial and error. are you trying to replicate this exactly or are you excluding a piece?
@@DesignedbyKirk I'm excluding the quick release system, but that seems to come with the same size screws anyways. It seems like I'd just need longer 1/4-20s so i figured I'd ask and see if you got any, but if you made it work then shit maybe I just shouldn't exclude the quick release 😭
Cheers! I haven't quite yet, but great idea! All the handheld work I do with it has been on an easy rig or cinesaddle, but I do plan on running it like that soon
Hi mate, I'm looking to get an ND filter for my Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens. Can someone confirm if the correct filter size is 58mm? I'd appreciate any recommendations for good ND filters as well. Thanks! ---

Cheers! Interesting, yeah I'll check that one out, the one by Tilta was the other baseplate I was comparing to which works well with the cage
Thank You for helping me get my first rig setup
Glad I could help!
Best rig ive seen so far. Too many people want to add all this extra crap to their rig. This is the perfect balance, thanks man
Cheers mate! Glad you enjoyed it
Great setup and explanation thanks
You’re welcome!
very helpful, thank you.

Thanks for sharing this! Do you ever put a shoulder pad on and run it as a shoulder rig?

@@DesignedbyKirk thanks for the feedback. Love all the work you are doing.
Love your build videos. What LUT are you using on the 6k pro?
Cheers mate, what LUT are you referring to? The one that I use to monitor footage in camera?
@@DesignedbyKirk yep!
@@ChadAltDelete Just the Gen 5 Film to Rec 709 Lut built into the camera, nothing fancy!

Hey mate, which lens do you have specifically? Is it the L lens or which one? You should be able to find that on a specs page!
Arri locating pins > nato rails
Really? I’ve always found them temperamental
@@DesignedbyKirk I’ve never had the Arri locating pins fail, I have lost monitors, handles etc because the nato rails just slide off.
nice
thanks!
