4:40 I am so excited for the use of AI in the medical field. I am tired of waiting months for a doctor’s appointment and huge medical bills. Healthcare should be accessible and affordable.
It's the thing that I am most looking forward to AI being used for. My life was destroyed by an incompetent and lazy GP almost two decades ago, when he heavily addicted me to benzos and then completely f*cked up and abdicated his responsibility to help me with the addiction that HE caused. He already had access to all the information he needed to stop or figure out a solution to what he did, but it would have been great if he'd been literally unable to shove me out of his office in five minutes without consulting an AI doctor first. Chat-GPT could have told him never to addict me to benzos in the first place, and if he failed on that (he really was atrocious), it could have told him precisely what to do to treat my addiction, early on, when it was much easier to deal with. I am also looking forward to the huge potential of AI in drug discovery. We are just seeing the initial effects of it. In January 2023, researchers discovered a potential drug for liver cancer in less than 30 days using AlphaFold. Many kinds of AI are being implemented at all stages of the drug discovery process in all pharma companies. The effects of this over the next 10 and 20 years will be immense.
yah that's gonna be probably one of the biggest positives of AGI. There is a huge potential for disruption in the healthcare space since it's a mess right now
@@AI-GPTWorkshop Absolutely in a mess! Public health should be a priority of any progressive country. Easy access to health and education is a must for a developed nation to keep itself developed.
Ray was outlining what has actually happened in reality & how we can project such progress into the future. Ilya was delivering the sales pitch for a dream which contained mostly wishful thinking.
Hate it when Ray says he has been in AI for 61 years. But those old AI not using SCD and back-prob are just darn primitive and could not scale nor learn based on LLM type training. Thus only in the last 8 years, the tech that could build AGI was discovered. Ilya already seen AGI, that is why he is focusing on ASI now.....
I know that most miss understand knowledge . Especially what separates us from the general name and ordering of ancient world who couldn't dig out subjective complexities within. it will be very cool streamlining to find test worthy manipulation of molecular structure & bonds to help find cost effective extraction of low concentration of minerals from obstacles in the middle of nowhere usa. It may help us articulate and test the 3rd line of physics the most fundamental complexities of it all
easy, to make room for the next generation. the human turnover-rate is absolutely essential for making progress as a society. immortality is NOT desirable. well, at least as long as humans are at the steering wheel. once AGI/ASI takes over and humans no longer have any input in how our society is run, then we may talk about immortality again.
This video is incredibly educational, interesting, and unique in its exploration of how AI will shape the future of society. It provides a comprehensive perspective on the profound impact AI is poised to have, from transforming industries to reshaping daily life. The insights presented here are invaluable for understanding the complexities and possibilities that lie ahead. Thanks for sharing the conferences of these two great genius.
Faster… stronger… bigger… But better? Where are moral considerations here? Are we going to be happier? Is the world going to be more humane and just? Questions never discussed by tech gurus…

Yes, and every pupil will have their personal education tutor
I think they should build an AI to be the first line for medical treatment when the ailment is easy to diagnose and treat.
I'd like to be able to turn the music off.
Music is hell... why? why?
😂
If he don't put music he Will get into trouble lol
The music is distracting and unnecessary.
artifical intelligence's greatest challenge: design a less ridiculous toupee for ray kurzweil
haha I AGREE lol.
hair loss is brutal, just ask the other guy there.
@@virtualpilgrim8645lol Ilya is a genius but he’s not a great public speaker. Probably a good trade off for him
I understand Age Escape Velocity when I stand up from the sofa too quickly

He’s either monumentally ignorant as to the clotshot’s effects, or he’s in big pharma’s pocket
you got a good point

AI may seem more relatable now but Ray was part of those that laid the foundations for what we have today. You cannot just dismiss them out of hand.
he has been working with google for a long time in AI research. I think that's what he is mentioning here
The is the like when they told me Santa is real but it wasn’t my parents while I’m sleeping, exciting times
Once the discussion became about mRNA that was enough for me
GREAT👏👏👏
love to see this computation chart on a log scale...

yah that's whole point of developing "ethical AI" but greed always takes over so I don't believe it when they say that anyway
Ray Kurzweil sounds like Ben Goertzel. Or the other way around.
lol
Seems they did not meet in this video.
You are misspelling the last name of Ilya. This may cost you money.
Thanks for pointing that out. I corrected it.
There are good, bad and ugly scenarios. These are the mostly the good ones.
Yeah. It's gonna be the super hero vs the super villains.
You gotta balance out the endless doom scenarios.
Yah I agree. hopefully the bad won't get out of hand.
The bad: the f*ck did he just say?

WTF would you put that stupid distracting music on there ? It makes it almost impossible to listen to. What is wrong with these people ?
I just want an AI with a better attention span and memory, less prone to hallucination.

just let the AI be free,
you'll see what it will do to you
not sure that's a good idea

A lot of utopian BS.
gpt 3 launched 2020 and was ok,,,2025 it will be actually good and cheap and fast. Video AI launched 2024 so by 2029 it will be good fast and cheap?
the cost of AI has a lot to do with GPUs. The cheaper GPUs get the cheaper the cost of AI products become.
I fucking hate hard encoded subtitles.
Kind of a flaky vid - AGE ESCAPE VELOCITY in 10 years.

Who thought it was a good idea to have that annoying damn music distracting us the whole goddamn talk?? Seriously who would be that stupid?
